Great Bag for the Bucks!
November 30, 2009

Two days after this bag arrived, I was backpacking in AZ rim country. Packed easily, even with it's long size. Frozen water bottles and crystalized condensation between fly and tent...butt cold! No polypro, no socks and wicked toasty! I have 7 yrs on another North Face bag; still zips like new.

North Face Aleutian bag... Great deal.

Great bag- very warm (and I'm a wimp in cold) I typically have to open up the side bottom of the bag in the 40 degree mountain summer nights. Light and easy to pack backpacking, even for the long length. Very roomy for a packable mummy bag.

Pros: Build quality, Performance, Great value

Good buy for kids bag
June 28, 2009

We bought this for my sons first backpacking bag. He is 11 about 4'8" so we thought it would be a good bag to grow into. The first trip with the bag was in May and it rained the entire trip. Despite the cold wet weather, he said he stayed plenty warm (every night was in the thirties). It was a little bigger and heavier than we had hoped for, but with a good compression bag he was able to pack it with ease. We are going to get a lighter bag though for longer backpacking trips (we have a 7 day streneous trip planned for August). Great buy still for short trips or standard camping.

Took this camping and for a retreat over the last few weeks. Perfect! Comfortable and snug. The weather was warmer than expected and if you sleep with the zips down, it is comfortable. Looking forward to using this in cooler weather.

Extremely comfortable and light weight. As expected from a North Face product, the quality is superb and I would highly recommend it for campers.

A fantastic sleeping bag for the price
April 08, 2009

I recently used the new sleeping bag on a camping trip in Washington. I was actually quite surprised how warm it was! I loved the fact that the top portion could be tightened to where almost none of your face could be visible (similar to some bivy sacks). I'd recommend this bag to anyone who going camp in +20 temperature conditions. Fantastic deal.

Great sleeping bag
November 10, 2010

Very warm and very comfortable. I use the bag in my hammock and the cushion of the bag in a hammock gives the feeling that you're sleeping on a cloud. The warmth is also great! I get cold very easily but when using this bag in the White Mountains of NH i was very warm. The side zipper gets stuck, which is a pain. But I love the comfort level! It's an overall great bag!

Pros: Great design, Performance, Great value, comfortable, warm, Cons: zipper gets stuck
