Blasting out the front door like a 'Death Star', The North Face Bandwidth has all the features to keep you from scattering into the universe. The main compartment stows your laptop in a protective elastic compression sleeve for the long haul. Multiple stash pockets hold your audio player, power cord, water bottles and daily essentials within easy reach. Two accessory pockets and a secondary compartment help keep you organized. Super-padded shoulder straps and a removable waist-belt combine with side compression straps to distribute the load, and set your gear securely in place. A front X-bungee system keeps your jacket handy while in transit, and a dual daisy chain gives extra outside attachment points for last minute necessities. I purchased this bag in red and it is perfect. the bag is roomy yet doesn't look overwhelmingly big!
I can carry my 15inch laptop, a medical textbook, a 1 inch binder, and bunch of pouches, wallets, etc. and the laptop chord slides in at the bottom pouch.
The best thing about it is that the ultra shoulder pads make carrying a lot painfree! I've gotten a lot of complements. by far the best back pack I've owned!

Initially bought the Heckler, which is way too long if you are rather short like me (5'3''). The Bandwidth is the perfect size for the college student who doesn't need to carry all their textbooks at once. Stylish and extremely durable! Fits a 13'' laptop perfectly (I have a Macbook)! Those with bigger laptops should consider a different laptop backpack. Front compression straps are handy if you intend to travel frequently. Overall, very satisfied with purchase and would recommend.

Very stylish backpack with enough room for my laptop and a couple of books. The shoulder straps are comfortable and the build of the backpack is extremely durable. I particularly like how there are no elastic-secure cords on this pack, giving it a very sleek look when worn.

This is a great backpack. I needed a bigger backpack for classes. The 2 different compartments are great and hold a lot. They only thing I think could improve is the pocket on the front could be a little bigger. It is also a great pack to take camping or to hike.

I gave my boyfriend this bag as a gift and he loves it. There is plenty of room for his laptop and all of his books, in contrast his old bag could only fit in a few books. He also likes that his computer is well protected and the shoulder straps and supportive.

This pack was everything I read about. Plenty of room for everything including a very large suspended rig for my laptop. I have one of the larger Dell notebooks and it fits perfectly. The shoulder straps are very comfortable with a cell holder on the both straps. The only thing I would like to see is a little side wall padding. Other than that, a very good value.

I used the backpack for carrying the laptop. It has lot of room for other stuff. I wish there are extra padding on shoulder belt since it could be pretty heavy.

I'm very satisfied with the Bandwidth backpack! It has plenty of room for my laptop and even though I can't fit too many law books in the front compartment, the bag would probably be too heavy if I could. Don't expect the colors to be exactly as pictured online. The bag is sturdy and comfortable to wear. It's the perfect solution for not wanting to carry two bags for school (a laptop bag and bookbag).

The design of the pack is centered on protecting the laptop section with the back padding, the elastic webbing on the bottom, and the outter compartments. The retainer loops on the shoulder straps, and the removeable waist belt are bonuses. The quality is top of the line with heavy duty zippers with their own corded zipper pulls, and all the internal seams are stiched over, no frayed edges. My only grip is the front external pocket is just big enough for a cell phone. Would of liked to see it big enough for a cell phone and the laptop power source with out the pocket looking like it was going to burst.

The bag itself is great quality, and a nice looking backpack. However, there's no strap or anything to secure the laptop in the pouch. And the padding doesn't exist on the sides, only the back and front. The padding itself isn't that thick either.
There also isn't any slots to hold normal size papers etc, so if you put any papers in the back, they're going to get bent. so you'll need a billfold or something extra to hold loose papers.
