Great 32L laptop bag ...
Great laptop bag but a bit long for me, suppose to fit a 17" laptop. Padded back and strap makes for comfortable load. I liked the look of the front of the bag as well as compression straps all around . Overall a great 32L pack.

my laptop is 17", there is enough room for my laptop, and a lot of funtional pockets.

Great choice
After shopping several stores for a large sturdy backpack, I was happy to find this one. It has good weight distribution and large adjustable straps. It fits all my items with room to spare. It's built to last.

Great Backpack
I'm in my second year of college and have needed a heavy duty backpack for some time now. I was hesitant to buy the Big Shot at first due to it's high price, but I'm glad I made the decision to purchase it! It fits all my books that I need for class, but the way the pockets for pencils and other small items is designed in the inside front flap causes the book bag to collapse when no books are in it. Other than this, the Big Shot backpack is a great choice and I hope to get many years of use out of it!

Nice bag
This bag was purchased as a school backpack. The bag is very nice looking and very roomy. It has many areas/pockets where you can store things from pens and pencils to cleats and uniforms. It has a padded laptop compartment. The straps are supportive and take away some of the strain of a heavy load. It was purchased for a teenager 5'5" and fit him great. I am pleased with the purchase.

Great Purchase for Teenage Son
Purchased for my 16 year old son. This backpack is sharp looking, durable, and large enough for a laptop and plenty of other supplies. The Big Shot backpack, like all Northface backpacks, is very well designed with lots of storage space and pockets. The Big Shot has extra padding on the back and great padding on the shoulders for heavy loads, which is a must-have for high school. Lengthwise, this backpack is somewhat longer so it may not work well for everyone, but with the "dudes" at school, it was a major hit.

Big Shot
Bought this backpack for my husband to use to carry his clothes and laptop to work with him on his motorcycle. He LOVES it! It is big enough to carry all he needs, but small enough not to get in the way.

Great product for a great price
I was using this backpack for over 2 years before it got stolen, but i was sure which one i will order next time, because i have never had such a great and durable backpack, whatever your needs are, hiking, biking,snowboarding, schooling it will fit them perfectly...
It is very roomy and has a special compartment for a laptop and your gear. You pay for what you get, and this is a perfect backpack for a right price.

Excellent Bag
Although I have not been able to test the durability of this bag, it looks and feels like it will last. Large capacity and lots of extras make this an excellent choice for anyone looking for a bag for normal use (like school) that can double as a bag for hiking/camping.

Good laptop bag
Got the item in six days after I order it. This is a good 17" laptop bag, fits my Toshiba perfectly. And there are rooms for my lunch and other stuff.

perfect for high school/college students
i usually dont review products i buy, but this backpack is really great! when i first got it i thought it might be akwardly big, but it fits fine and it holds all my books, which is what i bought it for! all the smaller pockets that are usually found on the outside of backpacks are inside along with the laptop holder which i personally like. also the material its made from is really nice and the pack itself is lighter than i expected. overall, i needed backpack that would hold all my books and laptop for second semester of high school as well as college and i got my moneys worth with this one!

For a little bit of everything
As a firefighter and crossfit coach, I need to be able to carry gear with me at all times. I'm always on the go from the station to the box, to home and the North Face Big Shot has made this easy. With plenty of room for either clothes, some gear, as well as my 17" labtop, I can keep on the move and not worry if I have what I need to get through the day. I am in school as well and paramedic books are huge, but they fit no problem. The additional chest strap and waist strap keep the bag secure when I'm on my motorcycle and there is no lower back discomfort even when the bag is loaded down with 30+ lbs. of stuff. Doesn't hurt that the Big Shot looks pretty tough as well. Love this bag.

Great Gift!
Got this as a Christmas gift for a friend. He uses a backpack to carry his laptop and accessories to work but also uses it for weekend trips. He immediately loved the design/look and features of this backpack! He's 6'2" and has mentioned having trouble finding a backpack long enough to fit his torso but this fit perfectly. I really like the straps at the bottom that you can adjust when you want to expand or decrease the backpack's carrying capacity. This way, the backpack doesn't look sloppy/overly large when it's not filled up. Definitely recommended!

Carry All
Love the size - able to fit my large laptop and a good number of textbooks. Fits comfortable on my back even with a heavy load. I'm on the short side - 5'4", but don't have issues with the length. It is a large backpack but perfect for a day's load of school work.

Fits my Toshiba
I did a lot of shopping around but finally found a bag to fit my Cadillac of a laptop. I have a 17.3" Toshiba that fits perfectly in this bag. I'm only 5'2" so the bag is a little large for my frame but I found it to be perfect for when I have to carry the computer. The straps are great to downsize when I don't have so much to carry.

Great Customer Service; Average backpack
I guess the backpack is good for most as I saw almost no negative comments. It was designed well EXCEPT for the inner wall that has the pockets on it. It's flimsy and when I put all my stuff into those pockets, the wall flipped over when I emptied the pack and nearly everything fell out. What's up with that? As far as Altrec is concerned, I couldn't ask for better service. Received it in record time, exactly as promised. For my return, I just said that I needed to return the item and they gave me a return number and told me to return it. Can't ask for anything better than that.

Great backpack with plenty of room. It easily holds my laptop. The quality, typical of North Face, is first rate. My only criticism is that there is only one large compartment rather than two. It would be nice if there was a separate large compartment for the laptop only.

Awesome backpack
This thing is great. I use it for school, travel and hiking. it works great for it all. It's really comfortable and can hold everything you need. Easily fits my 15" laptop nice and snugly. I love all the pockets it has for keeping every thing nice and organized. it is a little bigger than I thought it was going to be but that doesn't bother me at all.

Sturdy & comfortable, exactly what I wanted
I was looking for a pack that was: 1)Comfortable with a good amount of weight in it (approx. 30-40lbs/14-18kg) and 2)Sturdy and durable. I've been traveling with it for about a month now *with a 15" laptop inside) and it's held up great. It's extremely comfortable on your shoulders, even filled to the brim with stuff. It's got lots of little pockets inside for gadgets, chargers and the sort. Highly recommended.

Great Bag
I love this backpack!! I was not sure that my laptop would fit, it is a 17.3'', but it fits well in the padded pocket. There is also a lot of extra space for anything else that I want to carry. Although I got this Bag for my laptop, after receiving it I now plan to use it for hiking and backcountry skiing as well. And the fast shipping was a great bonus!

Great Backpack- Huge Size
After doing lots of research, I decided on this backpack because I needed one big enough to carry my law school books and laptops to school every day. It has plenty of room and still looks sleek. It is very comfortable to wear, even packed up with about 50 pounds. Very Happy and would recommend to anyone.

i got the big shot bag from altrec...amazing price. super fast shipping. this is a great backpack...plenty of room yet it doesn't 'look' bulky and huge. you can easily carry your laptop with clothes for a 2-4 day trip. Ive gotten lots of compliments on the bag. looking to purchase another!

Nice
Great backpack for a decent price on Altrec! Rides well, plenty of space, enough compression straps to keep everything tight. Sometimes the bag won't sit up strait if you set it down - It'll just slide down onto its front or back. That's kind of annoying. Over all, I'm very pleased with the Big Shot backpack.

Good for quick campus-based toting
Well-designed pack, but kind of bulky and on the heavy side. Good for a quick campus tote for books and computer, but not my favorite for carrying items a long distance. Also, the daisy chain decoration is kind of silly looking and has no function.

Must Buy
This bag was just the way I had expected it to be; it looks great (esp. the Toulomne Brown color), and it's extremely convenient. It has a large pocket for a laptop and it can easily fit in my 17" Laptop. It's got enough pockets everywhere for me to keep my things separately. It's a must-buy. I'd definitely recommend it to others.

Great Backpack

nice features
Very nice features which makes the backpack very functional and some improvement from 2007 model. However, the zipper downgrades from a waterproof zipper to a water resistant one. It is good for carrying heavy load; for medium load the newly design back support may not be as comfortable as other backpacks. It is ideal for school use, esp. for day hike in warm to hot weather.

Perfect
This thing is big, strong, and comfortable. I'm a full time nursing student and have to carry a ton of books and medical supplies most of the time. The internal backing material and padded straps are greatly appreciated. I also like the variety of pockets that seem to have been put in just the right place. Macbook fits in the back pocket nice and snugly.

A sleek backpack perfect for business or casual use.
A nice sleek pack that covers all the basics for around town use or as a flight carry on. The NF has the right amount of pockets and zippered pouches with the added convenience of a padded computer section. I really like the black color which makes it flexible for either business or casual use.

Sweeeeeet
This is the best backpack I have ever owned. The cost is definitely worth the quality - this will last at least 10 years if not longer. Not too mention I look extra studly around campus with this on my back. Perfect for my laptop. I highly recommend the green color.

solid pack, killer price...
Good pack for a great price. I had the luxury of picking this guy up for 66.95 at the Naval Academy MidStore. Solid pack with lots of features...holds my Dell D830 nicely and doubles as a great hiking pack! Couldn't ask for more.

On campus or afield - a great dual-purpose bag.
Out of 10, I would give this a 9. I've had the bag for a couple of months now - and it's held it's own very well in both environments. I have carried around my laptop, tools (wrenches, pump, repair kit) for my mountain bike, books for class, and folders. I have a cell phone pouch clipped to the front, it performs marvelously. The hip and sternum straps are highly useful when on your bike, keeping the load from shifting around too much. I regularly fit 3 gallons of milk inside (with a few books at the same time), when I make a grocery run on the way back from work or school (on my motorcycle or mountain bike). The overlapping pockets in the back are useful for holding my laptop cords and bike tools. I don't use the inside pockets / pouches much - they aren't very accessible when you are running with a full load. The side pouches comfortably hold my Nalgenes, even with the insulating covers on the bottles. Since the hip straps aren't padded, it's probably not a good idea to hike it with heavy loads for more than a day. In the field I guess I would wish for a little more air circulation in the back area (but I don't know of any back packs that are dual-purpose that are much better). I sweat like crazy when it's warm/hot, and this pack really holds in the heat for me. The daisy-chain straps on the back are sturdy enough. There is also a hole in the top near the carrying strap for a hydration pouch - which I haven't used yet (I have nalgenes, and a 100 oz. Camelbak pack when I need lots of water.) The hydration pack would fit in the lap-top sleeve in a pinch. You could easily fit the makings for a picnic in here, pack up for a day trip (maybe even a short over-nighter. Fits my bike helmet inside when I'm running light around Campus, and I clip it securely to the outside when I'm running a heavier load. I recommend the pack to the average college student who would take it outdoors on the weekend. I would also recommend water-proofing it with Camp-Dry, and spray the zippers with it too to prevent wear-and tear from dust / road-grime. I bought this as a bag to carry my laptop and accessories safely, as well as perform in the outdoors, and it does both tremendously.

Great Backpack!
I too got this bag for school and it's awesome! I love that it has a separate padded area for my laptop and still has alot of room. The two netted areas are useful for my umbrella and drink and its really durable. It stays clean easily and it's comfortable too. I also like the little cell phone holder on the arm strap for easy access.

good multi-purpose pack-
I use this pack during the week to tote my books and laptop to class and then I can toss enough clothes in it for the weekend and strap compression sack for my sleeping bag to the bottom- The the two gray water proof zippers are to different compartments one is very shallow and the other has some reasonable depth- In the main pocket their is the laptop sleeve which has a strap to hold it in place and not sliding up- on the outside flap is a bunch of smaller pockets that don't really do much since anything in them falls out when its laid down I use one of them to put my ti84 in horizontally- The side compartments for water containers could be a bit bigger, if I set my backpack down sideways my nalgene likes to slide up and out unless the bungee is pulled really tight- I use a small carabiner to hold it in place anyways- Overall its a great backpack its served me well so far, no problems with zippers and the padding for the laptop and my shoulders seems ample enough, plenty of cinch straps to compress the backpack or make it fit your shoulders- Beltstrap tucks away nicely

Strong, sleek & roomy
My high school bound son and I purposely chose this pack for its size and the high-quality NorthFace name. Still we were pleasantly surprised at how much it holds and how bulky it is not. The water resistant closure has already been tested with great success.

Roomy and comfortable
This pack has tons of room and enough compartments to keep it all separate. I use it for lugging computer science textbooks around campus, and packing gear around in the Red River Gorge. It's rugged and provides the utility I need on mountain, and in the classroom.

Lot's of Room - Great for Anything
This pack is one of several North Face Packs that I own. As always, North Face lives up to its reputaion with this amazing bag. I love everything about it with one exception- the ample storage space provided by the interior pockets is quite useless because they all lack zippers. So, everytime you lay the pack flat, everything falls out of the inner pockets into the main compartment. Aside from that minor oversight, I love it!

Sleek and Versatile
The North Face Daypack is everything that you would want in a backpack. The pouches and dividers inside keep all your items organized and separate although the lack of padding doesn't guarantee absolute protection. The rubber around the zipper prevents rain from penetrating the bag and ruining your items. This bag can carry alot to a little while remaining sleek and compact.

Form+Function+Price= Winning Day Pack
The sturdiness is comforting. Lots of rubber in all the right places and the pack spaces are well organized and easy to access. The harness is snug and keeps the pack close to my body, which I like. Overall it looks very sharp; nice clean outer design with the logo on the top-side of the shoulder straps. There's a mobile phone pouch on the shoulder straps as well. For form, I take one star away for the fact that the internal organization dividers are flimsy and unpadded. Were they more stiff, I'd feel better keeping personal electronic devices there, rather than in their individual protective cases in the main compartment. For style, full marks. Whether humping through the city, on the subway, on a bike, on the bus, in a store, on the street, in a class, meeting friends, the Big Shot looks cool.

I recomend this pack for those at school and those in the MTS
Great Pack overall. Really the only thing that I didnt like were the interior pockets designed to hold CD's, cell phone, pens, etc. Those pockets tend to snag bigger objects every once in a while. By no means is it intorable. Seriousily a good pack
