I bought this jacket for my nephew who 13. This is his first northface jacket. His parent has been dressing him as very preppy type and he is thrilled to get this. Loooooove it.
I love the material and softness. He can use during winter with the layers and during spring and fall as it is.

Warm, a must have!
I bought this boys jacket for my daughter. I couldn't find the girls anywhere. It is warm and cozy. Around here the Delani North Face is a must have for the teens. Quality as we expect from North Face!

great jacket
Got this jacket for my 7 yr.old son in black and the lion purple for my 10 yr. old daughter. They both love it. It's great for going from car to store because it's not bulky. My kids are very active so they wear a sweatshirt underneath when playing outside and are comfortable in it, providing temps stay in the 40's. Anything colder and extended outdoor activity in freezing temps this would be a layer for a winter coat or jacket.

wants another one
My grandson requested this jacket for christmas 2 years ago. He loved it! This year he wants another one in a larger size. He said he was able to wear it while playing tennis in the high wind. Very warm, lightweight & windproof.

True to size
Based on the different reviews about sizes I decided to go the next size for my 4 year old son (Small), well it was too big, so I'm just going to keep it and order the XS so he can use it this winter. It's really thick so I'm happy with this purchase.

Awesome Purchase!

I have purchased at least a dozen North Face jackets from Altrec and all my children and grandchildren have raved about the fit and comfort of these jackets. Good kid jacket
This jacket has been great for my little guy. He has not once been cold while wearing this jacket. He also thinks it looks cool.
The jacket has some wind protection, this is mainly due to the thickness of the fleece.

Cool Days Jacket
This jacket is good for cool moderately windy days. Since it does not have a hood you need a hat for rain or extreme wind. The fit is roomy but not baggy. It's somewhat short but does cover below hip.

Great Quality
I purchased this Boys Denali Jacket in Rad Green for my daughter's 11th birthday. It was pricey, especially for an eleven year old but I've always heard good things about North Face. Once the package arrived I was so impressed that I actually tried it on myself and then realized what all the hype is about. It is well constructed and the perfect jacket for late winter and spring weather. The thickness of the fabric is just the right amount to block out cold air. Anyway lets just say she LOVED IT!!!!, said it was the best present she ever got and wears it everywhere. The only thing I recommend is that you order one size up. I was going to order her a medium (10-12) but decided to go to a large (14-16). This size was perfect and still has some room to grow into come Fall and Winter 2011-2012. She is 57-58" tall and weighs btw 80-85 pounds. Hopes this helps in your decision.

This is our 2nd North Face Denali coat for my son. As soon as he grew out of his last one, I purchased another one in the next size. It is very durable, a great color, and he loves to wear it. Great for in-between seasons.

Brought this jacket for my kid. As previous North Face Denali jacket, this jacket does not disappoint. It fits well, provides enough warmth for a stand alone jacket for temperature> 30 degree or can be used as a layer underneath your technical waterproof shell. It is also very durable and well made. It does not, however, have the best wind protection.

Love this jacket
My son had this coat in an XS when he was 5. I was hoping for him to get 2 yrs out of it but I decided he needed the next size up. I think it runs a little on the small side. He has 2 younger brothers that will definately be able to wear it again as it is great quality.

A True Shopper
I bought this jacket for my little son and I am very happy with the quality and the fit. My kids have been wanting "The North Face" jacket. I felt like it was just another name brand at first until actually purchasing it. Looks are deceiving! The quality of it and the warmth exceeded my expectations. It keeps them warm. I called customer svc rep of altrec to inquire about the size. The representative was very nice and even went over and beyond to check the size chart before I purchased! I got a bigger size (xs/6) for my "2" year old to have some growing room! I even got it for a good price! This is my 3rd purchase of this brand and would recommend it!

Denali Northface
I just purchased a Denali North Face for my little brother for his birthday. I was very happy with the quality of the jacket because several years back, I bought a kids Denali and it's not as wind resistant as I hoped it would be. This one is VERY thick, which I'm happy about! I haven't given the present to him yet, but the sleeves seem really short to me. I guess I'll see when I give it to him! Overall, I love North Face products! And I got one on sale which was a STEAL! I ordered it with 2 day shipping and it still cost less than what I would have bought at the store! I will definitely return to this website!

NorthFace Kids jackets are a must
I purchased this jacket for my son, and since giving it to him, have had trouble having him take it off. With red being his favorite color, he loved it at first sight, and it is surprisingly warm for a jacket that is somewhat light in weight. Kids love it

Great find for my 13-year-old son!
I searched all over the internet for this black North Face Denali jacket with lantern green trim. Then a week before Christmas Altrec had a size L in stock! My son loves it. I think it was his favorite Christmas gift. It is very well made and easy to clean. The accent color is a great addition to an already nice jacket. The jacket was a bit larger than I expected, but it will be great for longer use. We are very happy with our purchase.

Buying Another One!
My son picked out this jacket online based on brand and style (forget function - style is way more important to kids!). We received the jacket within two days of ordering (way to go Altrec!). Unfortunately for my son, I accidentally ordered the jacket a size too big. Fortunately for me, when I tried it on, it looked and fit great! I wore it outside in the middle of a particularly brutal coldsnap and was surprised at how warm and wind resistant the jacket was. Even though it's seems more like a lightweight jacket, it is as warm as a coat. I'm now ordering a new Denali jacket for my son, in his size.

ideal for teenages
Great solution to teenages running around in sweatshirts in the middle of winter. Heavy weight compared to fleece warmups. Great for dropping off and picking up at school. They will wear this when they won't put a snow coat on.

Get one!
Just because a product is priced higher than competing items, doesn't mean it is better; however, that is NOT the case with The North Face: Boy's Denali Jacket.
The jacket was purchased for my 9 year old son. He wanted the jacket for it's brand recognition. Sad to say that, but little kids want to be cool.
Besides the jacket's good looks, the build quality is top-notch. It is also very comfortable and warm, per my spoiled son.
In this case, you get what you pay for.
At this point, no rating for durability due to length of ownership.

I love all of The North Face jackets. I have 2 for myself and I just bought my 6 year old son his first Denali. I was a little hesitant because they are a little pricey but it is what he really wanted and I knew he would wear it. I like this jacket because it is extremely warm but it is not so big and bulky. Great Jacket
This is the second North Face Denali jacket I have bought for my boys. My oldest outgrew his from last year so it went to my middle son who was thrilled. But my older son wanted a new Denali jacket because it is so warm and comfy. He is 9.5 years old and about 56" tall, although he is on the skinny side. We ordered the large for him and it is a little big for him although not too big that it looks silly. Hoping we can get 2 years out of each jacket before we have to buy another!
