Resolve Jacket
My children hate large oversized coats so this is the perfect light weight jacket. There really was nothing bad about the product. I purchased four an my children love them.

Best Rain Jacket We've Owned
I purchased this jacket when I realized that the nylon jacket we owned was not actually waterproof (my fault for not reading the fine print). The hood provides great protection, and it has proved it's worth during our very rainy autumn. I could see putting a fleece under it for a "not too cold" snow/ski day as well. My son loves the black and gray combination.

Great Jacket
We purchased this as an alternative to the Men's Venture jacket, which didn't come small enough. Main difference is that it doesn't have a drawstring at the bottom and it doesn't have some of the zipper vents that the venture has. We plan on using it as a snowboard jacket over a fleece pullover - will be perfect for someone who doesn't like a bulky boarding coat!

great windbreaker
this is a nice looking , comfortable ,windbreaker/rain jacket.
good quality and fit. i would highly recommend it. the medium is a perfect fit for my nine year old . great for walks on a cool fall day too.

Works great
Fits him pretty well and seems to be waterproof. Only been in light rain, so we shall see how it stacks up. Its great how the hood rolls up, the collar is really soft and the kids like the feel against their necks.

on the small side
I bought large size (14~16) for my 13 year old son who is about average size for his age, but the jacket was on the small side. I kept the jacket because he needed rain gear right away and his younger cousin could wear it after my son.

Loved this jacket
I bought this jacket for my 5 year old and he loves it.I find it fits true to size.It washes well,i have no problem getting the stains out!I highly recommend this jacket!

satisfied with this jacket
My son is 6years old and tall and thin.small size is little bit big,long sleeves but I like that. He can wear next year too.This is nice and light for spring/summer rainy and windy weather. he enjoys wearing it!

Great Jacket
I bought this jacket in Mountain Blue for my 14year old son. He loves the jacket and wants to wear it year round.
Even when school school uniforms in place to always wear the jacket.
First to prevent wind, rain also prevents it.
Wearing light also excellent.
In many ways, is a convenient item.
So I think again is to purchase this item.

Great Jacket
I bought this jacket in green for my 10 yr old son. He loves the jacket and wants to wear it year round. Thankfully it comfortably accommodates a fleece jacket underneath on cold winter days in the NY/NJ area.

I have had trouble finding a non-pvc jacket that would fit my grandson. Ifound it here at altrec. It fits him perfectly and is lightweight. He loves the jacket, it doesn't make him sweat while he's playing outside. Thanks Altrec.

Great jacket for spring rain
My 10 year old can be very particular about the jackets he wears. He was thrilled when this jacket came in the mail. I don't think it will be as much of a struggle to get him to wear a coat now when it rains. The fit is true to size.

This jacket looks pretty good and its material should be good enough to keep you warm from the wind. The problem is just the size is too big and the layer inside the jacket is damaged. There is a big hole on the layer!

Boy's Resolve Jacket - Black - Size L
I just bought the Resolve Jacket for my 11 yrs old son. We leave in the Seattle area where, as everybody know, rain is our daily companion (not always true but when it rains, we're drenched). Anyway, the quality is excellent. It is a good wind barrier too. We could not find it in black in his size (L) in any stores in Seattle: all sold out. We were very lucky to buy it from Altrec.com. A Great Solution for Active Boys
I shopped a long time for a PVC-free raincoat for my son. This coat fits that bill and many more. I love that it is lighter weight, so he can run and play in the rain without getting sweaty and soggy under his coat. The elastic on the sleeves and the elasticized visor under the hood keep the rain from getting inside. I ordered a small for my lanky four-year-old who is wearing between a five and six. While it's a little big, we can roll up the sleeves and, with the help of the aforementioned elastic, it works fine. Plus, there's ample room for layering (even if I hadn't ordered up a size), so the coat is extra versatile.

Good for Rough Kids
Bought this for my son. He is a Boy Scout and not the best at taking care of gear.
This is a great all year shell coat. He pairs it with a down jacket (underneath) and in Missouri it keeps him warm almost year round. In the summer its his go to rain jacket.
He really likes it and takes it with him camping every month.

high quality
this is a well made, great jacket - the L fits a 5' 100lb frame very well. fairly waterproof unless you are riding a bike - water comes in through the spaces between the velcro overlap. Otherwise a really great jacket and Altrec is very fast with shipping and processing. would definitely buy from them again.

Excellent for layering
Living in North Carolina, my son had only used his Denali the previous winter but this past winter was much colder and wetter. Rather than purchasing a heavy winter coat, I purchased this jacket to layer over the Denali he already had. It worked great. He was warm and cozy on the coldest, wettest days. It is also great by itself for warmer days in the spring when the Denali is just too heavy. When layered it was a bit snug in the sleeves though so I would only advise layering if the jackets fit your child loosely. My son had no problems with comfort or mobility. Excellent service too, product arrived faster than expected.

Worth the price
This is my son's second Resolve jacket and we are quite pleased with it (esp as the first one lasted well enough to hand down to younger sibling). He is 11 and does not always think wearing a jacket of any sort is cool, but is happy to wear this one. My kids are average height and build and this jacket fits well, though I do think a huskier child might find the fit a bit snug. Altrec was great about letting me know that a desired color was back in stock and shipped very promptly!

well made and vibrant color
I bought this for my son for his scouting trips and he loves it. The color (blue) is nice and it is very well-made. The elastic around the hood face is great to help keep out the rain.

Versatile jacket
My son needed a good rain jacket and wind breaker for school where he does alot of walking outside. He can also fit this one over his fleece for colder days. Northface has a great reputation for quality and Altrec was prompt with the delivery.

Happy with jacket

Not zip-in compatible
Bought to go with Khumbu fleece my son loves, but not zip-in compatible or kid-friendly piece. The velcro gets stuck on inner mesh lining.

North Face is exceptional in quality and Altrec carries so many of their products. I have never been disappointed with Altrec's service and delivery time. Their prices are usually the best I can find or close enough to make the sale worth it. In this particular jacket, the size S fits my 7 year old son just right. Not much room for growth but I can pass it down to my younger son next year.

lightweight and waterproof; a great overall rain jacket
Bought jacket for my son for camp. Jacket runs small; had to buy Youth XL because Youth L was too small although he normally takes L. Only other issue is that jacket fabric sticks to velcro storm flap closures if jacket is not zipped up. Otherwise, jacket is great.

I bought this jacket for my 3 year old nephew for his birthday. It is good to wear on a rainy day. I got size S so that he can wear next year but it is little big for him. good product, fantastic price. But Shipping is not fast. It is delivered exact estimate delivery day. Good Shell
Bought for my 11 year old. Altrec customer service went way above and beyond to get it to me in time for a backpack trip and is hugely appreciated (thank you Shane). Reason for 4 star is that the mesh lining sticks to the velcro, making it a bit of a pain every time my son has to zip up. Otherwise, is light and comfortable and great looking. Definitely need layers for colder weather, but that is what a shell is for. Perfect the way the hood disapears into the collar when not needed. Fits true to size. Would Would buy again and definitely from Altrec.

great jacket
We bought our son his first North Face Resolve jacket three years ago when he was seven. It's lightweight, breathable, and waterproof -- great for backpacking and for cold, rainy school days. He liked it so much that we bought the girl's version for his sister and a new one for him when he outgrew the first. Our only complaint is that the jacket no longer has a label for the child's name and phone number. For a jacket this expensive, you want to make it easy to return if it gets left behind.

Solid If You an Active Family

Keeps kids dry and warm at unbelievable price.
My son loves this jacket. We use it as a shell over his North Face Denali and he stays dry and warm all day snowboarding. The jacket is long enough on him with a drawstring to keep the snow out (He is short for his age). My younger daughter will be inheriting this jacket and I will be buying another for my growing son. As for durabiity, go with other reviews as we only ski 1-2 trips per year and only get enough snow to sleigh once a year, if lucky.

Great ski shell
We do a lot of skiing and this coat is a great shell to pair up with other layers. It keeps my son dry and skiing. The durablity is great for boys that are tough on clothes; it outlasts them.
