We do a lot of skiing and this coat is a great shell to pair up with other layers. It keeps my son dry and skiing. The durablity is great for boys that are tough on clothes; it outlasts them.

For the past two years, I have fought with my son to wear a rain coat. He refuses. He hates the way they feel and look. The North Face Boy's Resolve Jacket has solved the problem. He loves it. The fit, the feel, and the color are perfect. On warmer days, it's light enough and breaths so he does not suffocate in it. On colder days, he can wear a fleece under it and stays warm and dry. We are very happy with the jacket, and if we didn't find it on sale at Altrec we would not have been able to afford it. Thank you, Altrec.

Solid If You an Active Family

Order a couple jackets based on the principle of laying as we are an outdoors family. The kids love the jacket and I know we will get spring, fall & winter out of it. I recommend this type of jacket with a good fleece and another layer and you kids will be doing great in outdoors!

My son loves the jacket. I like it for the rain and snow. It was not as heavy as I thought it was but he remains warm while wearing the jacket.

My son loves this jacket. We use it as a shell over his North Face Denali and he stays dry and warm all day snowboarding. The jacket is long enough on him with a drawstring to keep the snow out (He is short for his age). My younger daughter will be inheriting this jacket and I will be buying another for my growing son. As for durabiity, go with other reviews as we only ski 1-2 trips per year and only get enough snow to sleigh once a year, if lucky.

I purchased this jacket impulsively... it fit perfectly. The material keeps you 100% dry. This jacket is also great for running in the rain, not making too much noise and extremely breathable.

We bought our son his first North Face Resolve jacket three years ago when he was seven. It's lightweight, breathable, and waterproof -- great for backpacking and for cold, rainy school days. He liked it so much that we bought the girl's version for his sister and a new one for him when he outgrew the first. Our only complaint is that the jacket no longer has a label for the child's name and phone number. For a jacket this expensive, you want to make it easy to return if it gets left behind.

I wasn't please with what I received the add was misleading I thought I was getting something totally different from what I received. I kept it anyway because I didn't feel like going through the hassle of sending it back.

This is one of the most verstaile jackets i own. I can wear it in almost any weather. I would definitely recommend this jacket to anyone.
