After you climb to the high summit, you want to come down and crawl into the North Face Dark Star 0F/-18C Sleeping Bag and dream of beaches. This synthetic bag has a durable Pertex® shell to keep moisture out. Two proprietary synthetic linings are laid in an overlapping shingle pattern to lock out cold. A vaulted foot box gives you room to thaw your boot liners and keep a water bottle from freezing in the tent. When you're serious about alpinism, you spend plenty of time during the day suffering. At night, you deserve to nestle in the cozy confines of the North Face Dark Star 0F/-18C Sleeping Bag.

Awesome bag
September 15, 2012

This bag has everything you could want in a high-quality synthetic sleeping bag - right down to the strategically located loop-tabs that serve as hooks when hanging the bag out to dry or air-out. Very high-quality COMPRESSION (not a cheap stuff sack) sack for use and great laundry-bag style storage sack. As always with TNF, great styling and labeling so you know what you are grabbing out of the closet (long, regular, 0deg, etc). Inside bag material is soft and warm to the touch - fabric noise is also very low. If only someone could invent a zipper for a mummy bag that doesn't require you to have a second elbow located in the middle of your forearm so you can pull the last 6 inches closed! I can't wait to test the warmth rating at below freezing temps this winter... I bought the regular length for my wife (5'4") and it fits her perfectly with room for your clothes at the feet. I bought the long length for me (6') and am glad I did.

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance, Cons: heavy but hey...its synthetic
