I like that you can zip two together (be sure you get one right handed zipper and one left handed zipper if you want to do this). The bag is durable. It weighs a little more than most backpackers are used to but the extra room (square-foot style) and affordability off sets that. Contrary to other reviews I've read, I had no trouble getting the sleeping bag into its stuff sack. The color is great (taupe).Pros: Build quality, Great value

This sleeping bag is very comfortable. It is long, warm and well built. The down sides are its packed size and extra weight.
No reason for a 20 degree mummy
November 30, 2009
My wife and I are not the biggest fans of mummy bags so we ended up with a pair of North Face Allegheny 40 degree bags and a pair of these North Face Dolomite 20 degree bags. We can zip our bags together and have a set up for almost any conditions we plan to encounter. Comfort was the key to these purchases we are extremely happy with our decision. The stuff sacks of the 40 degree bags are perfect although the stuff sacks of the 20 degree Dolomite bags do seem slightly small like other reviewers noted. They are not 2 sizes to small just slightly to small but manageable.

I bought this bag for my 12 year old son to take to summer camp. He loves it. It is well made, zips easily and he loves the color. I'm sure he will get many years of use out of this sleeping bag.Pros: Great design, Build quality, Ease of use

Just received the bags and am very pleased with the puchase. I bought two with the intent of zipping them together and it works great! Two right zip bags work together. Very roomy and light!
Great lightweight sleeping bag!

I bought a pair of these for a camping trip to Anza Borrego - Kept my son and I nice and warm on a couple of chilly nights. I'm glad that I ordered the "long" version as I am 6'1" and the bag was just the right size for me - if you are any taller, this might not work for you. I would definitely recommend this product.
Great sleeping bag

We ordered 2 dolomite sleeping bags in the "long" size. We purchased them to have something warmer in Yellowstone this summer where the nights can get down into the 30s. I can't comment on their warmth in that situation yet. They do work great alone or zipped together. They are long enough for my 6ft2 husband but not so big that I feel cold or drafty. We like the draw string around the opening that you can cinch in. They are very easy to stuff back into the stuff sack. I have read reviews where people say they can't get them in the stuff sack. I wonder if these people tried to roll them up first (not the way to go). Just stuff them in and it goes very easily. They are light weight and don't take up much room once in their stuff sack. You could probably get them smaller yet if you use a compression sack. We liked them so much we ordered another "regular size" for one of our daughters.Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance, Ease of use, Great value
Perfect Warm Weather Bag
February 12, 2009
I went camping in late August in the Catskills where it is quite chilly at night. This bag is roomy, warm and fairly well padded. It's great for couples too because you can zip the two bags together. I'm about to purchase another for my girlfriend. For casual camping and the price, this bag cannot be beat.
Light and warm

Everything was great with the bag. The stuff sack is a little small. I found myself re-rolling and compressing the bag each time I attempted to get it in the sack.
Great Sleeping bag

We gave up our usual queen size air mattress and bought this sleeping bag for a recent camping trip to the Catskills. It was so wonderful that after the first night, we decided never again to use the air mattress. This is a great sleeping bag for car camping. The warmth, padding and roominess combines for a great night's sleep.Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance, Ease of use

First trip weather was in the mid 30's with 15 mph north winds stayed nice and warm all night

This is a great sleeping bag. It is extremely light and durable. The only problem is the the bag used to store the sleeping bag in is to small. It is extremely difficult to get the sleeping bag into the storage bag! other than this problem it is a great buy!
so far so good

Like the length of the 'long'... feel the warmth almost immediately upon climbing in. Love the versatility of a rectangular (i.e. comforter, picnic blanket, etc...) Light and the price is right.
Light and perfect for togetherness

Just received the bags and am very pleased. My wife and I are planning on going to Glacier this year and I bought two with the intent of zipping them together. Tried it out at home and they work great! Two right zip bags work together. Very light, which is what we are looking for!
warm with plenty of space.

Very warm and comfortable bag. Best $ deal for 20 degree bag. I use this bag all year including the snow. for snow camping a quality sleeping pad is a must. I would recommend this bag to anyone. The only problem is that the stuff sack provided was too small.

This is my first "real" bag. Settled a pair of these because they are mateable and the right price. I've got a medium sea to summit compression sack which has replaced the stock stuff sack, which is way too big to pack. It's comfortable too...I still haven't put my comforter back on my bed.Pros: Great value

I have not personally slept in this sleeping bag, it was purchased for my granddaughter on her tenth birthday. My review of this sleeping bag is based solely on my observations and feedback from her and my son. This bag is somewhat large for her, but I felt it would provide some growing room. The materials and construction of this bag are high quality. It's used primarily for car camping (tent) in Northern Arizona where the night temps will be in the 50 - 30 degree range. My granddaughter has never complained of being cold or uncomfortable in this bag, she always looks "as snug as a bug in a rug" when using this bag...it's hard to get her out of it in the morning. We have not encountered any problems using the stuff sack as others have indicated.Pros: Great design, Build quality, Lasts forever, Performance, Ease of use, Great value, color, warmth
Comfortable but HUGE!
June 07, 2010
This is a nice bag if you're looking for comfort. I like the room and feel of it, but it's definitely not a backpacking sleeping bag. It weighs about 8oz. more than the advertised weight (I got the 'Long' so it was almost 4lb 8oz.), and it is very bulky. Unlike other reviewers, I had not trouble getting it back in the stuffsack, but as I mentioned it's just big! If I took this on a trip, it would take up half of my 65 liter backpack!
Super Great Bag!
March 20, 2008
This sleeping bag is great for those who hate mummy bags! It's light and super warm, and the extra space to move your feet is worth the buy!
great sleeping bag
May 15, 2010
For me (5'9") this bag is very comfortable. I haven't tried using it in the 20's yet, but it definitely seems like a quality sleeping bag. The stuff-sack is definitely too small, though. I ended up buying a $20 compression sack to use instead, which has been great since you can just stuff the sleeping bag in and then cinch it down.
