Great gloves
December 28, 2011

Just as the other reviews said, they do run a little small. Otherwise I love them. I would recommend ordering a size up from what you would normally wear, if tight gloves bother you.

Annoying seams
January 09, 2012

I own a dozen pairs of gloves, and I was excited to try out the e-Tip for use with my smartphone. First off, I have short stubby fingers and wear 'cadet' gloves when golfing. However, MEDIUM size gloves tend to fit me well, as most non-shell synthetic gloves have some stretch to them. This set of gloves is snug on my fingers with a little stretch. The most annoying feature is that the inside stitched seams are very prominent and rub against my fingers. This was noticed immediately upon trying them on. After two minutes, they were very annoying. Maybe this is made worse by my fat fingers, but I've not encountered this level of annoyance on any other polyester stretch glove. The gloves I received were defective so I sent them back to Altrec. I would have sent them back anyway because the seams are so irritating. I'll stick to OR gloves. Sorry TNF. Comfort is more important than the e-Tip.

Cons: Bad design

I'm very satisfied with the product due to the following reasons: * Good inner layer temperature isolation * Still maintain the flexibility when you put on it. * Convenient touch screen grip * Easy wash, quick dry * Some level of waterproof, highly breathable Recommend to everyone who needs a good inner glove!

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Ease of use, Cons: Cost

Good iPhone Gloves
November 11, 2010

If you're looking for a good pair of chilly weather gloves that will work with an iPhone, these are one of the best out there with a reasonable price. I have been looking for a while, but I didn't want to pay an arm or a leg for iPhone compatible cold weather gloves. Like all North Face products, they don't look trendy, but they are very functional, durable, and practical. I didn't realize that the gripper palm worked so well. You would have to intentionally do something to make my phone go flying from my hands. The Etips and grips are on both gloves which, for some reason, I thought it would be only on one. I'm glad I was wrong there. Texting, calling, emailing, using my apps - no problems there, but just gotta remember that the Etips are only on the index fingers and thumbs. I can't wait to hit the slopes and use these as liners for my snow gloves. No more exposing my hands to the elements anymore to use my phone.

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Ease of use, Great value, Cons: fit

Comfy gloves
February 02, 2013

Make sure you prints the size chart from TNF to match your hand size and it will fit to your skin. It's important to have a good fit for the Etips to function well. Since I've owned an older TNF gloves for 5yrs that's made with the same material, the durability and quality should be fine on this one. The only problem I'm encountering is with the velcro from my jacket. When the gloves gets caught to the velcro it'll causes stringing. The warmth is great for 35F degrees or better. It's a great city traveling gloves and not your cold weather beater.

Didn't hold up
January 17, 2013

I bought these gloves because I have an iPhone and I have always worn the same gloves but with out the eTip. The silver pad on my right index finger ripped the first day I wore them and after using them for a couple weeks is now totally torn off with the thumb ripping as well. I love wearing them under my mittens so on the lift when I take them off my hands aren't exposed, and they do a GREAT job with that. Just very disappointed they didn't hold up.

Pros: comfy, good layering piece, Cons: Wears quickly, Low performance, Poor quality

The North Face Etip Gloves
April 16, 2011

These gloves are great i bought one for my girlfriend and me... Now my sister also wants one. Great for iphone itouch andriod or any other devices that uses the touch screen technology. It also works with the laptop mouse/track pad. Cons: The glove only works if your wearing it. There is a sliver-ish piece of cloth that you need to be touching for it to work. I don't know if i just got a big size or i have fat fingers but whenever i put it on i always have to push in the finger part. The cost is also a bad part too. This is the most expensive glove i have ever bought. I don't know if it is waterproof. All in all I still like these gloves.

These are nice gloves to wear for everyday. I just returned from a ski trip where I wore them as liners. The were thin enough to wear under ski gloves with the ability to use iPhone. They are not however ultra warm gloves to wear in extreme cold for extended periods outside. For running around in and out of the car, they are great. I found that they run large and had to get a small.

Slim E-Tip Gloves perfect for mild weather
February 19, 2013

With a smart phone I have always hated taking off my gloves in freezing weather to answer the phone. With E-Tip gloves there is no need to take them off. They work on smartphones and other touch screens (such as taxi credit card machines). Was traveling to NY for work in February and did not have a good set of warm gloves. After buying these gloves I actually found out that I was arriving during a snow storm. Thankfully I had ordered the gloves already. Going to NY during a snow storm could have been horrible, but with my Northface gear it was bearable and even enjoyable at times. When traveling in a Taxi the last thing you want to do take off your gloves and possibly leave them in the Taxi. With the E-Tip gloves there is no need take them off as the gloves worked great on the taxi touchscreen. Keep your gloves on and stay warm while using the phone or any touchscreen.

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Lasts forever, Ease of use, Great value

Great!
December 29, 2012

I have tried out many many gloves that say they have the special tips for iphones and such, however they never work, or you have to push SO hard to get them to work. These glove tips actually work, like if they were your fingers. You do not have to apply 'force' at all to get your screen to follow your orders. These are great, and as always very great quality from The North Face. Gotta have them!

Etip Gloves
March 24, 2012

Wore my new Etip Gloves for the second time. The first time I wore them, my hands/fingers were frozen at then end of 5 miles but functioned as designed. So, for this mornings 5, I wore a liner beneath the Etips and it was awesome. They are compact enough to permit complete control while navigating my iPhone/iPod and with the liner, my fingers/hands maintained feeling!

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Ease of use, Great value, Cons: no cons yet
