more north face greatness
Just like everything else from The North Face, this is honestly a solid cap - it's warm, high quality, and it fits perfectly (although you should probably aim on the higher side --> ie, I'm usually a M/L baseball cap, so I got a large).

I got this hat for my brother-in-law to go with his new Northface jacket. He loved it! We live in Boston. Needless to say, the winters get very cold. He travels to and from school each day, one hour each way, so this hat provides the warmth that he needs.

Quality Beanie
The fleece used on this beanie is thicker than my TKA 100 microvelour hoodie. I believe it's the same fabric used on the Pumori jacket. This recycled content fleece has more nap than non-recycled fleece, which tends to attract pet hair and lint. The black can quickly look dirty because of this static-like cling. Sizing is slightly large but accurate. Note that this fabric has some stretch but not as much as acrylic or wool beanies.

Finally!
So after all these years I finally found a large skully that fits me like no other "One Size Fits All". Leave it to The North Face this cap rocks, fits so well I will get another. Thanks.

Great hat
This hat ended up being a much thicker fleece than I was expecting. Even wearing the hat in 50 degrees walking my head wasn't hot or sweaty. I am sure it will also keep me warm below freezing. It feels very soft and quite comfortable.
I love it and highly recommend it.

Great toque
Not many toques come in large for people with big heads like mine. This Toque actually fits properly and doesn't look stretched when I wear it. May just need to buy another one in a different colour.

Doesn't quite fully cover ears
I read reviews from bunches of websites, trying to get an idea if these cover your ears well enough to keep them snug and warm. Most didn't mention ear coverage, or the few that did said this hat covered their ears. Got this for my hubby in a S/M size, whom has a small head and a military cut -- alas, this hat didn't cover his ears all the way. Totally warm hat, like the dark ocean blue color, but wish the hat were longer to fully cover the ears. Will keep the hat, but my hubby won't be wearing it, I will (I've got long hair to cover my ears) Or maybe it will stretch over time? not too hopeful as it 's a really good polar fleece.

Great purchase
The Altrec beanie is absolutely wonderful. The large size fits me perfectly. The beanie is warm, lightweight and comfortable. I can wear glasses with it and the temples fit on my ears without pressing against my head. I can pull it down to cover my ears and the beanie is still large enough to fit. As an added bonus, when I got part of the beanie wet, I just wrung it out. The beanie retained it's shape and was still warm. The term"beanie" sounds like those hats worn by schoolboys, but this one clearly isn't. On the front of the beanie is THE NORTH FACE name and logo, showing that this hat is meant for people who are serious about their outdoor wear. Dealing with Altrec.com was also a pleasure. They shipped it on time and it arrived in good shape. We have some really bad weather in Texas right now, and I am sure glad I have this beanie.

Great Everyday Fleece Hat
This is a great, very high quality, very warm fleece hat. The only issue is that the sizing is a little weird so you have to be careful to read reviews. My boyfriend also has this exact hat in a size Medium and while he has loved it, he has come to realize it gives him a bit of a headache because it's too tight and too shallow. He has a "normal" size head - not "big" or pumpkin-like by any means. He normally wears a Medium in everything - except for this hat. I recently bought him the size Large and he says it's much better. It's a tiny bit loose now because it's a Large, but it's much deeper so it pulls down over his ears fully. It's perfect for shoveling snow or walking outside to work. Maybe not perfect for climbing Mt. Everest... but for the other 99% of the time it's great!

This hat is worth the price and perfect for people will a smaller head. I got a M and it fit well.

I bought this hat for my boyfriend for Christmas and he loves it! I am not sure who loves it more me or him. He is very hat funny. It does not make his head sweat. I am going to order one in every color!

Beenie Hat
I bought this hat for my husband two years ago, he has worn it all winter long and loves it so much I purchased two more this year. It's very comfortable, he loves it since it doesn't make his head sweat. I would recommend this for the quality North Face is known for!

Perfect Beanie
Finally found the perfect Beanie. I have tried many. I am a guy, I have a small head. This Beanie fit pefectly. Very warm! No extra material flopping around on top of my head. I shave my head so I need a hat throughout the winter months. I purchased a black and white version of this Beanie. I asked my wife for a few more colors for Xmas! I ordered the Medium size, it is pefect for a smaller head. Don't hesitate to buy this hat!

Great Beanie for Chemo patient
Due to chemo I am bald and beautiful! I have four Flash Fleece Beanies now. They are comfortable, light, warm, (don't itch which is important to the bald and beautiful), and wash well. Long pretty scarves can be wrapped around them to make them look like a pretty hat (I have worn them to church) They are especially good to wear to bed for warmth. Thanks!

Bought one - then another!
Love this hat! I have been looking for a cute hat that is comfortable, feels GOOD on my head and my forehead, washes well and fits over my ears in a way that is not frumpy. This hat has all that! Plus, the colors are subtle not vibrant and shiny. I would buy one in every color if they were not out of stock. They wash well, still maintaining their fit and color. The logo is not too "in your face." Luckily, if you are anti-logo on clothes (as I am) you can turn the hat around and it still fits the same. As the lady below me said "this hat doesn't make me look like a boy." I am an avid nature chick and I like to look like a chick while being a tomboy. This hat is cute but not too cutsey! Love it. Also, Altrec is now my first choice for outdoor purchases - they have incredible service, nice, intelligient people working for them, fabulous shipping.

Great Beanie - Keeps you warm!
This is a great beanie. Excellent quality, as can be expected from North Face. Covers you ears and keeps them warm especially in cold windy conditions. Highly recommend!

A WELL WORN PIECE OF CLOTHING THIS TIME OF YEAR
I am not much for words but I must admit The Northface Beenie hat and Fleece gloves will well appreciated come blistering winter. It's not cold enough yet but rest assured they will get plenty of use.
