Description

Remember when you were a kid and how difficult it was to put on or remove your snow and rain boots? The designers at The North Face must have great memories because they made sure that easy-entry, medial side-locking zippers were installed on all of their Girl's Greenland Zip Snow Boots. These side zippers make it easy for girls to slip in and out of the boots without assistance from parents and ski school instructors. The Greenland Zip Snow Boot for girls is fully waterproof and features a Heatshield Optimal Technology™ layer of insulation to keep young feet warm all the way down to -40F. The North Face also added TNF Winter Grip™ rubber along the outsole treads to improve traction on ice and hardpack snow. With all this comfort and insulation, your toughest task this winter might be calling all the kids back inside at the end of the day.

Specifications

  • Non-hydrolytic synthetic leather upper

  • Media side-locking zipper
  • Faux fur collar detailing

Good little girls winter boot
December 17, 2011

I bought this boot for my 4 year old, whom is very picky about her shoes. We sent the first pair back (size seemed small), ordered the next size up and found a winner. The fact that it is pink is what attracted us to the boot, but was surprised to find out that not only was it pleasing to the eye, but a good fit (after returning to upsize). We let her walk around the house for a little while to make sure there were no complaints and it passed. The boot is somewhat snug allowing it to be very stable with no heel slipping. Looking forward to trying them out in the snow as soon as mother nature cooperates.

Pros: fun style

Comfortable and very warm!

Best boot!!
November 07, 2007

Being from MT, then CO and now WI ... We've learned to be prepared for the coldest. This boot provides warmth, traction, and her feet never got wet. Also appealing is her desire to put it on because it's not weighing her down- "My boots are Comfy". I'm ordering this years pair now. I'm excited for the child that get's last years pair, still very rugged and not falling apart-go figure. She also wears the jackets. We'd wear the bibs w/chest cover if they had a pair that fit her well) Super Mom

Great boot! I wear it all around Michigan and Colorado, on the hill, off the hill, and snowmobiling. Keeps you very warm, but can feel a bit "clunky" since it is a larger boot. Otherwise, all around nice boot!

Great Boots
January 26, 2012

I gave a pair of Northface's Pink Girl's Greenland Boots to my 11 year old daughter for her birthday and she absolutely loves them. She wants to wear them all the time now, even if warm out! They have proved comfortable for her on hiking trips in cold and wet weather and I would definitely recommend them. One note, buy a size larger than you expect as I had to send her's back to get 1 size larger.

uncomfortable
December 18, 2012

My daughter has worn Northface boots most winters, but we were both disappointed with these boots. They were difficult to put on, uncomfortable, and not very cute in person!

great boot

I actually bought these for myself, as I am a woman's size 5. The girls 6 is a great fit. These are perfect for the winter...snow, sleet, slush, and rain.

Daughters loved the boots
January 11, 2012

Haven't really got to use them out in very bad weather... but we have worn them and the girls really like them. They say they keep their feet warm and are soft.

good!

Good solid shoe
October 30, 2011

These shoes are very well made. They'll be warm and dry. They are made of very good materials and knowing we have long winters in Wisconsin, they won't be trashed before the winter is over. The thing I like the least is that it's hard for my 5 year old to put them on and off because they are stiff. I don't know if it will get easier over time by wearing them. The zipper system is something she's never used before, so that's something to get used to as well.

Pros: solid material, warm, dry, Cons: stiff material, zipper is hard to get up and down for young child, need to get worn in

Good boot for the cold and wet conditions. A little stiff for a child's boot, but I am sure it will break in over time. Go great with anything too. A nice simple style.

My Daughter Loves Them!
December 18, 2010

My daughter is very happy with these boots from both a function and style perspective. As it should be, she's comfortable in them when playing in the snow but also wants to wear them when most all of the snow has melted. They seem to run very short, however. She's usually a size 1 but ended-up in a size 3.

Pros: Build quality, Performance, Great value, Cons: run short

Warm & lightweight waterproof boot
January 14, 2010

We bought these boots for our 9yo and she loves them. Warmer than her fur boots and waterproof, she doesn't drag her feet in these boots because they are tighter on her shins and not the least bit heavy. The soles offer great traction in the snow & ice.

love them!

Luv the shoes
March 16, 2012

These shoes are very comfy and warm. They served it's purpose well in the snow playtime for they've kept my feet warm and dry. It's also an easy zip on so there's that convenience of taking it off easily as well. For this price, it's very worth it. I am truly happy with my purchase.

Girls Greenland Zip Snow Boot
June 21, 2011

I have three girls so I look for quality shoes, these boots are heavy duty and I am sure they will be passed down. They are very cute as well! The bottom of the boots are rubber so no water or snow will penetrate the boot. I would recommend buying these boots if you live in cold climate that deals with a lot of snow.

Best for narrow feet
January 25, 2013

We purchased two pairs of boots, size 6 youth and size 2 youth. The size 6 worked for my daughter who has narrow feet but the size 2 youth was too difficult to get on my 7 year old. The actual foot size is fine it is just a very narrow opening since the zipper only opens a few inches. I have an adult pair and once broken in they are easy to put on and very warm and comfortable. Young girls just don't have the strength to pull them on so I would only recommend them for older girls.
