My daughter asked for this jacket for Christmas this year. She is also a small adult so the girls XL was a perfect fit. Best of all, although it wasn't guaranteed for 12.25 delivery, I received it on 12.24 just in time to wrap & put under the tree.

After reading the many reviews and looking at the size chart provided on the site I was quite confused about what size to purchase. Many posts described purchases for small adults but did not include what size they went with. The ones that did name the size were petite but not exactly my size. I think sleeve length is a big concern as well. I just received my size L and I am a small adult, 5'3"(and a bit), 100lbs and have, needless to say, a very small frame, which makes it frustrating to shop. In any case the large was perfect for me. So if you are my size or smaller get the large. The sleeves are just right. A medium would actually fit my torso but the sleeves would probably be extremely short. The jacket is loose fitting but doesn't look too loose. It is just in between a fitted look and a comfortable fit. The jacket falls right at the below the hip for me, so there is good moderate coverage for rain. Good for layering a fleece underneath or any other layers. I also though it would make a nice shell for spring skiing and it definitely fits the bill. It is also easily compressible and great for packing in your bag for camping. Additionally, Altrec ships expediently even with free shipping!

My daughter wears this as a rain coat. It is very warm and light weight. I did buy one size larger to give a better coverage at the hip. Love the North Face quality and design. Will buy again.

Bought this jacket for my 3 girls - size XS, S & M in snapdragon yellow, aurora pink & shoreline blue. Love the colors and it fits perfectly for my 4, 6 & 8 year olds with enough room for thick clothes underneath. Very happy with the service of Altrec. Quick & easy!

I am 5'5, 110 pounds and I bought this jacket in a Large. It fits perfectly! It's not too big and it's not too tight and I couldn't have asked for a better fit. Perfect jacket for an adult.

This jacket is perfect for unpredictable New England weather. My daughter loves the fact that it can be worn as a rain coat, windbreaker or just as a regular jacket. It's sturdy and a great color too!

I got this jacket as a second shell because it was such a deal, and it turned out to be a great buy! The best thing to me though is how lightweight it is, and the fact that is is super water resistant. It is just a great jacket all around!

Would definitely recommned this jacket. Wanted a mesh lining and good coverage and this provides it. The hood stays on. The jacket runs large, so good for layering.

Our eight year old daughter instantly loved it. She likes the color (Gum Pink), that it is rain resistant and says it is "comfortable and flexible". As a mom, I like the hood--it fits nicely at the crown of the head and does not cover her eyes when she has it on, as some jackets do. The elastic in the hood keeps the hair dry and the little brim on top keeps raindrops out of the face. I like that it has zippered pockets. It is well designed; the contours look pleasing to the eye. It could be an inch or so longer.

Nice Stylish Jacket

I bought this as a rain jacket in white for my style-conscious 14-year-old daughter. She loves the comfortable lightweight breathable fabric and wears it over her hoodie. My only issue is that it runs a bit short for rain cover and is fitted so if you're wearing more than one layer underneath it will be snug. We'll see how long the color stays white as it will surely get dirty!

My daughter loves the flexibility. She can layer or wear the jacket alone. She can leave the hood out or conceal it under the collar. Overall, this is a wonderfully flexible jacket that makes her happy.

Excellent rain jacket. My daughter loves it. Sometimes she wears with her denali fleece. We ordered the jacket on Sunday and received it in the mail on Wednesday. The only gripe we had is that we thought the denali connected to the zippers in the rain jacket.

i bought this (medium) for myself, i'm 20 and 5'2. a little short on the sleeves but other than that it's fine. a Large may be been better though!

Ordered this rain jacket for my daughter a year ago, and it still looks new! This is the perfect lightweight rain jacket that can be worn alone or over a fleece. It lives rolled up in the bottom of her backpack and always comes out looking great. The only con is that sometimes the velcro sticks to the lining, helps to remember to close up the velcro before storing. Would recommend ordering one size up for extra growing/layering room.

I purchased it for my 4-year old daughter (size XS). It's little bit big for her, but not huge. I expected the jacket for stormy winter, but it's like a rain jacket, thin, light, and handy. I have to buy one more jacket for her, but it's great for rainy days. XS would be perfect fit for 5-6 year old.

it fits very well but, the product was not as described. it said it had Velcro adjustable cuffs, which it didn't. the cuffs were elastic. it was kind of disappointing ...

I bought the jacket in part because the description said it had velcro cuffs. When I received the jacket, this was not the case. They are simply elastic cuffs. The sleeves are also potentially too short. I am 5'2" and got the large. I'm going to Washington next week, so I will get to try it in the rain. I may return it if it is not satisfactory. Altrec has quick shipping and the customer service quickly replies to email requests.

The North Face makes clothing with excellent attention to detail and the Resolve Jacket is no exception. It is difficult to comment objectively on the breath-ability of the jacket, but it appears to work for my daughter on easy hikes in a light drizzle. The internal mesh is probably the feature that most helps alleviate any clamminess. All in all it's a great jacket, but great jackets rarely come at a value price point.

This is a perfect jacket for summer rainstroms, it is light and easily packable. It can also be turned into a three season jacket by adding a fleece jacket or sweater underneath. The jacket was true to size for my average sized 10 year old girl that usually wears a medium in childrens size.

I bought this jacket soley for outdoor running. It's perfect - shields from the rain/wind without getting too hot. Childs XL fits me great (5'4" female, size 0-2)

Love the coat. it looks good, fits well (but buy a size bigger than usual), and is VERY comfortable. It is quite thin tho' and we will have to find thick fleece vests to wear under it, even in the fall and early spring.

This is the perfect jacket for a young girl. At this age, bulky is embarrassing! This jacket is light weight, which means a layer can be comfortably underneath. Great functioning zippers and pockets and a roomy hood. My daughter loves it!

I recently bought this for my girlfriend. Now I will mention she is 20. Not really a "girl" but this size worked best. She is 5'3'' and about 100lbs and this fits her great! She loves the slim, modern fit. Altrec was great about shipping. It took a couple days to process and 4-5 to ship. Excellent product matched with excellent service.

Purchased for my daughter. Loved the pink color--very bright. Well made, good materials. The hood is nice and large for easy on/off. One complaint is the sizing. A small is identified as a 7/8 from their site, but I'd order one size bigger. We sent ours back for the medium size for this reason (too tight). Highly recommended though.
