It features a 1,850-cubic-inch capacity main compartment with an external bungee system for any extra shells or outer layers. Side mesh pockets conveniently expand to latch onto your gym bottles and other forms of liquid refreshment. Because the main compartment doesn't feature any internal dividers, The North Face Jester is perfect for hauling around big binders for work and school assignments. A removable hipbelt stows away for those times when you're shouldering a light load.

When I received my backpack, I discovered it was much roomier than I had originally thought. I am a pre-nursing student so I carry a huge amount of books. They all fit in there, with some room to spare. The shoulder straps are very comfortable, but not squishy. It distributes the weight well, as my backpack now feels lighter on my back.

Its the perfect size, holds everything I need.. which can tend to be a lot. Its comfortable and can withstand pretty much anything. The North Face is an excellent brand as I have many products from them. On another note, Altrec also provides great service. As a college student I carry all of my books, notebooks, folders, etc. in this backpack all day. So far it has been GREAT! It's very durable, comfortable, functional and has enough room for the majority of my stuff (minus my laptop). I would recommend this to any student looking for a "good" backpack.

I love this backpack! It's so comfortable! The straps on the backpack are wide and padded, so it doesn’t hurt your shoulder when caring a heavy load of book, notebook, paper and school lunches. The back of the backpack has the same padding so your back is comfortable at all time and your books are not going into your back.
There are many different compartments, so you can put your books in different spots or evening out the load! There are spots for pens and pencil, keys or smaller book in front compartment.
