I bought this jacket for my husband and he is very happy with his new jacket. Flattering cut gives him masculine look. The size is true size and is wind proof. It is a very warm jacket. He did not have chance to test water proof yet. One little complaint is that the fabric is not soft. He feels that he is wearing a plastic one. I guess that water proof and wind proof made the jacket stiff. Overall, this is a nice jacket.

I ordered this jacket for Christmas. I wore it from Michigan to South Carolina to Key West FL and back to Michigan and I didn't have to even take it off, well Key West I did. I was warm when I needed to be and cool when necessary. This is a very comfortable jacket and it keeps the warmth in and keeps me dry in the rain. GREAT COAT!!!

I'm a guy who will travel to the depths of the internet to scour for deals and knock-offs but I must say this jacket is well worth every penny you pay. the comfort and warmth this thing brings to the table with minimal constructiveness is nothing short of amazing and will mean the world on early morning hikes when the sun burns off the chill of the morning dew. Breathable yet blocks wind Chill. A Anomaly, better yet the gift that keeps on giving! And you look cool in it!!!

I wore my previous Northface soft shell jacket for nearly three year before I decided to purchase the Apex Bionic. With that being said the previous softshell is still in pretty much perfect condition, and is still quite warm and functional. The bionic was more of a cosmetic upgrade for me. With that upgrade though I also received a high quality piece of outerwear. The material is both durable and comfortable. I have come to expect a high quality product from Northface and received it once again. I am sure that this jacket will be around for many years to come.

Good price, very wind and water resistant and nice for light hiking or the gray, drizzly NW days. I like that the hand pockets are slanted so that stuff doesn't fall out (unlike some higher-priced jackets that have vertical pockets suited for backpackers) and the chest pocket is great for wallet/glasses/phone/ipod.... Great jacket, great buy!

I love North Face jackets because I feel like I am buying both utility and fashion. I can wear their jackets hiking then turn around and wear it to a bar or out to dinner. The bionic jacket is no exception. I bought it in rhubarb red and love the color scheme. It fits true to size and feels very comfortable. I have no doubt it will last just as long as my other North Face jackets!

Offers great protection against rain and wind. The adjustable draw-strings at the bottom really help assure a good looking fit for all body weights and a comfortable wear all around. I felt like the sizes were fairly accurate and that overall it was a great buy!

I've been wearing this jacket for the past 2 weeks, and so far I've loved it. It's perfect for the cold weather in the early morning and nights, and has done very well in the recent rain. It's no winter jacket but does a very good job at helping keep you warm when it's needed. Water beads up and drops right off, I spent about 20min in decent rain storm with strong winds and was able to shake the water right off my jacket before I went inside. I plan for this to be my go-to jacket for the rest of the year! I'm very pleased with my purchase.

This is quite the interesting Jacket. Im 6'3" 160lbs, so im sort of a tall, slender, lean build. For me the large fits true to size, an athletic fit right around the waist line, a tad lower most times. Sometimes it likes riding up, the front will ride up and the back collar will be sitting back and not touching my neck. If i straighten it down or walk with my hands in my pockets, all is well though. If you're picky you wont be particularly enthused about the collar not staying down, but its soft so its not that big of a deal. The insides of the jacket are akin to an Under Armour hoodie, extremely soft micro fleece i guess is the best way to describe it. The outside is where i can draw one of my only criticisms. It takes a minute to "break in" and get used to the semi-stiff wind/water resistant fabric, and the swooshing sound of it rubbing together if you're a fleece/hoddie wearer. In the first times wearing it it might bind up in spots a little and get a tad uncomfortable. I like the chest pocket, great for storing anything small you need to get to quickly, zippers work well. Although its lightweight, the jacket seems to be able to hold its own in a variety of climates, cold and snowy, to cool spring days. Unfortunately it takes me a while to buy North Face's products because im cheap, but they seem to come through and put out excellent products.

Durable, stylish and warm. This is the 3rd North face jacket I have purchased and is now my favorite. It is deceptively warm for not having a lining. It is very durable and great for outdoor hiking and activites. A great wind blocking jacket too. Perfect amount of pockets. Highly recommend!

I purchased this as a replacement to the one I lost. Comparing it to my older brown Apex Bionic I can see design improvements and it has a weightier feel. I've always been a huge fan of North Face products because of the consistent quality, comfort, and fit. And knowing that the same product, in this case the Apex Bionic, is still around if you need to buy another somewhere down the road.

Perfect for 20-50F temperatures. Thick enough that you don't need to wear it with any additional layer (e.g. fleece or sweater) but thin enough not to make it too bulky. Perfect for informal or formal attire. I can wear it with jeans and to go to work business casual.

My boyfriend and I have several The North Face hoodies, fleeces, jackets,etc. However, neither of us owned the Apex jacket so I surprised him with one for his birthday! He absolutely loves it...fit is great-true to size...very comfortable and also wind resistant, which is perfect for fall days and easing into Winter! Lot of cool color choices, but I got the graphite grey/black and looks awesome and sharp!

I purchased this jacket for my son who will be going off to school in the fall. It's perfect for that in between weather and, since it isn't bulky, he will probably end up wearing it most of the winter. The biggest bonus is that it's waterproof. Since he will be walking around campus rain or shine and refuses to use an umbrella or raincoat, this is a GREAT option! He loves the coat, loves that lining, and loves that it's roomy. Really happy with it and will probably end up buying another one for my husband.

Bought this jacket for a trip to San Francisco. It was windy, cold and rainy but this jacket held up to its name. I would recommend this for anyone that spends a lot of time being active outside.

Before purchasing the North Face Apex Bionic Jacket I tried several other brands but always found myself coming back to the Apex Bionic. The jacket looks great but performs as well if not better. It does a great job blocking the wind and I have also used on hikes in light rain and the water never penetrated the jacket. The weight of the jacket is excellent and allows the jacket to be worn in a wide variety of conditions. I am 6' tall and 180# and the size L is a perfect fit. After one full season of frequent use the jacket still looks brand new in which I am known to be rough on gear. The Apex Bionic was definitely the right choice for me.

This is a great jacket! It is wind resistant, comfortable, and looks great with jeans or khakis. The only issue for some maybe that it runs a bit large, but it works out if your wearing a sweater or something larger as a base layer.

This is a great jacket. Ordered one for that in-between jacket where rain protection is required. However, this jacket ran slightly large so I wear a thin quilted vest underneath and find it a great jacket for even 20 degree weather. I've been out in the rain and it definitely has kept me dry. Very stylish as well...my teenage sons liked it so much they each received one for XMAS! I haven't worn in a hurricane yet, but short of that it is a great jacket. Only concern is that it might be too warm if much above 50 degrees.

This is a nice jacket and looks great. I am finding it a bit snug or on the small side. My intent was wearing in layers. When worn with a heavier weight flannel shirt or sweat shirt it is a bit too small and tight for movement.

This is my go to jacket 95% of the time. Comfortable, form fitting, stretches, and just about right for every situation except extremes. I just got a second one after 5 years of use from my first which is still in great shape, I just figured it was time for a change of color.

This jacket fits well , feels well and looks well . It's casual look let you use it for any ocasion . It's feels light and protect for cold temperatures as its made keep the warm with you but I would not recomended it for extended period of time in the cold unless you are wearing some other layer ( IE :fleece , even a regular cotton hoody) The material feels light and resistant and the same time , the only down that I can see its the inside neck layer , in my case , keeps getting caught with my growing beard when I m not with a clean shave, and by experience with other jackets that I have that material will start looking bad (worm) but other than that I'm very happy with this jacket . 95/100 :)

This is the favorite jacket of all of my three boys. As they have grown out of them, I have ordered the same jacket in a larger size. I have bought other styles, but this is the all time favorite. We stock show in a lot of varied climates, and this jacket is perfect. Not that a lot of people need this aspect, but cow manure just washes right off and cattle hair doesn't cling to this jacket when we trim our steers. Maybe The North Face should market this as "great for stock showing, guards against even the messiest substances!" I LOVE this jacket!

Bought this jacket for my husband for an upcoming trip to Amsterdam. Runs a little large. He is 5'10" 170lbs and we went with the Large based on the sizing chart. Probably could've gone with the medium as it is larger in the arms. Other than that, it's a great jacket to layer with in colder months. Good with wind resistance. Overall I'm satisfied.

I purchased this jacket for myself, as well as another for my daughter for Christmas. I love the colors, it is very comfortable and rather warm, considering how lightweight it is. However, the collar is a little weird. It doesn't lay flat or stand up straight - it kind of slouches. Since I don't wear this for dressed up occasions, it's really not a big deal, just something I have noticed.

Got it for my son for Christmas. He LOVES it. Got the Men's small in the black and asphalt color and it fits and looks great. He is 15 years old and 5'6" and weighs 110. He could fit a thin sweater underneath. A thick sweater might make it a little tight but I don't have to worry abut that as he always wears tee shirts. This jacket is very stylish and practical. He wore it out today in the rain/sleet and told me the water just beaded up and ran off it and he stayed perfectly dry. He never used to wear a coat ( even here in NH in winter) - just a messy hoodie. Now he loves to wear this North Face Apex Bionic and he looks sharp and presentable and stays dry. Looks great with jeans as well as Khakis. It looks so good I might get one for my husband too!

A fine product from TNF and a definite staple in outerwear. The jacket performs as stated, it is indeed windproof. When the chilly wind picks up outside you will not feel any bit of it coming through this jacket including any seams or the zippers. Stopping the cold breeze can be half the battle in keeping warm and this jacket does it. I've worn it with just a long sleeve thermal under it in the upper 30's and I was comfortably warm. Add a thin fleece under it and you would be good for even lower temps, this jacket is surprisingly warm. I haven't used it in any downpour so I can't attest to its water repelling aspect, but it has handled the occasional shower very well. Honestly, I don't intend to use this alone in a rain storm a shell would be preferred. I'm 6'1" 175lbs and a medium fits great, note that I do prefer a slimmer fit and not baggy. With the medium I can wear a t-shirt and a 100 weight fleece under it (my preferred layering) and still have full range of movement. The cut is regular or standard not slim or relaxed, and lastly the jacket actually looks good!

This jacket is great. It is very comfortable and works well for hiking in cool to cold weather (30 and warmer). The windproof is very good. I have hiked in lots of conditions and the jacket performs well. It is not waterproof, but I was well aware of that and don't use it in the rain.

You can't go wrong with this North Face jacket. It provides warmth without bulk, and protection from wind and rain. (I live in a cold climate, so have other, heavy duty winter coats.) This jacket is just right for 30-50 degrees, lower temps if it's not windy/wet. The only bummer is they don't carry tall sizes, so there's an entire market of people who won't find the sleeves and torso long enough for them (like my husband). But for all us average-sized folks, this jacket fits just right and lasts through several seasons (I've had mine for 3 years with no signs of wear/tear).

The fitment is slightly larger than norm, i guess it goes for all Northface clothing wear. The apex is a durable outdoor jacket, great for hiking/camping and fishing trips. I have used it for the winter but i advise to wear a inner fleece to keep warm and toasty...highly recommend this great gear for the adventures ahead!!!!

This is not my first North Face purchase - so you know I love the product. I have been given many compliments about the style of the jacket along with the look. Like most men I wear my North Face in all weather conditions as I have found it to be great in windy conditions. My only complaint would be that I wish they sold them in tall men sizes. The sleeves fit fine however, I would have liked it if the length was an inch or so longer. I would highly recommend this product.

This is the best jacket I have ever owned. It fits great, is very warm, and breaks the wind nicely. It does a great job repelling water. The build quality is superb. While pricey, it is well worth it. In fact, I just purchased the matching insulated gloves and they are just as good!

I absolutely love this purchase. It is incredibly comfortable and the inner fleece lining is both soft and surprisingly warm for how relatively light the jacket is overall. It might not be quite warm enough for the dead of winter in Chicago, but it's perfect for the early spring and fall!

I really like this jacket and I am returning it to get a size larger. I am 6'2 190lbs athletic build. This jacket fit me tight through the shoulders and arms. I would recommend going a size larger. Other than running into this problem I would recommend this product to anyone. It is comfortable, waterproof, and warm. These are the features I like about this jacket: -Very flexible -Has two front hand pockets -One napoleon pocket on the front right -The neck is a little stiff at first but folds down easily -Wrists have tightening straps -The bottom of the jacket is also adjustable if you find it to be a little loose.

You can't go wrong with this North Face jacket. It provides warmth without bulk, and protection from wind and rain. (I live in a cold climate, so have other, heavy duty winter coats.) This jacket is just right for 30-50 degrees, lower temps if it's not windy/wet. The only bummer is they don't carry tall sizes, so there's an entire market of people who won't find the sleeves and torso long enough for them (like my husband). But for all us average-sized folks, this jacket fits just right and lasts through several seasons (I've had mine for 3 years with no signs of wear/tear).

great jacket! very windproof and very water resistant. it is also surprisingly warm for its light weight. i would recomend this to anyone who wants a lightweight jacket for wind and water protection built with great quality.

This North Face jacket is an excellent product. I am very satisfied with it. It is light weight; yet keeps you warm. The Velcro sleeves allow for adjustment to personal taste. Sized properly.

I got this item as a gift for my fiance for Christmas. He's been eyeing them at the stores but will never spend a lot of money on himself. I came across a deal on altrec.com that I couldn't refuse and he absolutely loves the jacket. It's definitely not a supremely cold weather jacket and it hasn't been long so I can't comment on durability or water protection, but he's been wearing it in the WI winter so far and it's keeping him warm :)

Very light and warm. Everything I wanted as a light jacket to backpack during colder weather. Waterproof (light rain) and great wind protection. Quality is excellent! It is extremely warm for its weight. I do week-long 75 or so mile hikes in the Spring and Fall so I usually get some very cold backpacking weather conditions. This product will meet its intended purpose nicely. Only one complain about the collar. When it's unzipped, they don't lay flat enough for me. It's kind of annoying but not too annoying not to like the rest of the jacket's features. Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

The Apex bionic jacket that I bought from Altrac is a great buy. The jacket is light weight and comfortable. Fits well. Usually, I wear large jacket but this one is medium and fits me well. These jackets tend to run a bit on the bigger side. I am very pleased with this purchase.

This is my go to jacket 95% of the time. Comfortable, form fitting, stretches, and just about right for every situation except extremes. I just got a second one after 5 years of use from my first which is still in great shape, I just figured it was time for a change of color.

Great fit. True to size. Very warm, windproof, and water repellant! Goes great with outdoor wear, as well as with casual wear, and even a nice sweater. Im thrilled with my jacket!

Great quality jacket. Only owned for awhile now but is clearly of great quality design and material. Water and windproof. Is an 'athletic' fitting jacket. The arms are a bit long by and inch or two so that they don't ride up when your arms are above your head. Not to much an issue with the adjustable cuffs though.

This is a great jacket. Ordered one for that in-between jacket where rain protection is required. However, this jacket ran slightly large so I wear a thin quilted vest underneath and find it a great jacket for even 20 degree weather. I've been out in the rain and it definitely has kept me dry. Very stylish as well...my teenage sons liked it so much they each received one for XMAS! I haven't worn in a hurricane yet, but short of that it is a great jacket. Only concern is that it might be too warm if much above 50 degrees.

We bought this jacket to replace a Denali. I like it better because the Danali starts to look messy when it pills. The Apex Bionic is probably not as warm as the Denali but it looks much better and provides better wind protection. We're very happy with our purchase

Pricey, but it's a North Face so you know what you're getting: great quality and hip style. The Apex Bionic is one of their most popular styles (and coolest names) because you can wear it as a primary and also layer it with a heavier jacket. I live in Atlanta and it's perfect for the fall/winter weather. I would definitely recommend.

I own about 10+ North Face products and I must say this is my top 3 favorite item. I was little hesitant about saying high price for a jacket like this but when I received it I understood why. The material is really from the future (bionic) I wear it weekly to work, it keeps me warm and nice. It repels water but I dont think it's 100% water resistant. Very clean and rich look on this jacket!

I purchased this jacket for my 16 year old son. The weight of the jacket is great. It's not too bulky to wear in and out of the vehicle. The fabric is great and can easily be wiped off when dirty. This is the only jacket I have been able to get him to wear. Looks great with jeans or dress slacks. The fit was perfect! I plan to buy one for myself!
