The North Face Men's Apex Elixir
March 28, 2011

The North Face Men's Apex Elixir is a nice light jacket for stopping the wind and moderate rain fall. 4 way stretch martial so its very durable. Runs a tad a bit larger so there is plenty of room to layer up with this jacket.

Running jacket at best
April 04, 2012

Bought this with high hopes...arrived to find it was merely a running jacket...barely weighs a pound and is as thin as a t shirt...does not repel water or wind so unless you just need a light running jacket for 40 degree mornings i wouldnt suggest buy this one

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Cons: Cost, Low performance

Great light weight jacket.

I wear it as a rain barrier over my fleece on cold damp days or by itself on those windy days that you just need something to break the chill of the wind. Very versatile and the draw string makes for a nice fit around the waist.

This jacket is great! Wear it for light coverage or for layering. I have 2 - one for outdoor use and one for casual dress. Super comfortable and diverse.

Excellent Jacket
June 25, 2012

I'm very happy with this jacket. I'm using in hiking trips a lot and it blocks the right amount of wind that you would want to be blocked. I also love the fact that is stretchable and fashionable. I wore it as a middle layer on a climbing trip on Mt. Rainier and it perfectly did the job.

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance, Cons: Cost

2nd one I own!
December 08, 2007

Having two might sound excessive, but the versality of this jacket makes it a must. Size L as a closer fitting mid layer that I can go from inside temps to layering well under down vest. Size XL provides a more generous fit so I can use as my daily commute jacket or layered over fleece in the backcountry. Very abrasion resistant, great windproof/breathable balance, and the stretch and fit don't restrict reaching for the next hold or wrestling with my dog.

Perfect Running Jacket
November 02, 2008

Excellent shell for running! This is a very lightweight softshell jacket. Incredibly breatheable! I also love the fact that the jacket is incredibly flexible. I love to run with my sleeves rolled up to my elbows with gloves on in the cold nasty weather. This is a very versatile, awesome running jacket. Highly Recommnded!!

Great all wealther Jacket
May 19, 2010

I recently got stationed in Germany and went looking for a spring through fall jacket that can stand up to the frequent changes in weather. And this was it. It's warm but it breathes. Water just beads up and rolls off and its very light-weight and easy to fit into a backpack. It's great not having to pack two jackets to go on a hike. I think the only thing that would make it nicer would be a thumb hole in the sleeve.

Excellent light-weight jacket
May 28, 2008

Good wind resistance, very stretchable. Moderately water resistant. Great for slightly cool temps. Does have a slightly dropped hem in the back - not a problem, but did not see this mentioned in the product info. The waist is about an inch lower in the back than the front. Overall, VERY happy with the jacket.

Great Purchase
April 16, 2011

I purchased this jacket for my son's birthday. He wanted a North Face jacket but had never really looked at them. I went out on a limb and ordered this one for him. He really likes it! He put it on over a hoodie and loved it! It looks great and fits excellent. Enough room to layer and move in. I'm sure I will be purchasing more in the future! Great jacket!

Great Lightweight Jacket
May 03, 2011

I am extremely pleased with this jacket. The fabric is very elastic and comfortable. It is a shell and somewhat thin, but it repels water extremely well and cuts the wind as well. I have been out in numerous rainstorms and the water beads and runs right off.

functional and fashionable
May 07, 2011

I bought this jacket in black for my son going off to college. The picture doesn't show it, but the black jacket actually has red zipper pulls, which adds a little extra style. It fits perfectly, as long as you realize it's meant to just sit at the waist, not longer. One of the best features is how lightweight it is - you can really move in it. Great for adventuring, keeping dry and warm in the rain and wind, looking good around campus, and quality looks like it will be a keeper.

Good Windproof Jacket

I am an avid runner, in good weather and bad. The North Face Apex Elixir jacket provides a good light weight jacket that will repel the rain and breath on those long runs. The flex material makes this jacket extremely comfortable. You simply can't beat it for the price.

Excellent Purchase
October 01, 2011

I have used north face jackets in the fast so I am very aware of the quality of the jackets. These jacktes are durable and well worth of the money that we spend on it. It is very comfortable jacket and the place where I live you can even use this jacket as a second layer during the peak winter time. It is highly recommended. I bought the jacket in blue and I love the color of this jacket.

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Ease of use, Great value

Good against the wind
September 08, 2008

A great light-weight jacket that flexible enough to jog with. A little more thin than I expected but it gets the job done which is the most important thing and the fit is great.
