A lightweight stretch fleece top, The North Face Aurora Zip Neck Fleece for men is ideal for a wide range of high-aerobic outdoor activities. A warm layer of Malden Polartec® 100 Series micro-fleece is placed along the front and back panels provide excellent thermal performance, while Polartec® Power Stretch® side panels enhance your freedom of movement. The entire garment is stitched together with durable flat locked seams that eliminate bulk while preventing chafing. Wear it alone or as a layer under a breathable, waterproof shell.

I own several of these. What do I like about this shirt? It's warm, comfy, and practical. It layers well. The zip neck makes it easy to put it on even over a hat. And I like the way that it looks! Solid style but not over the top! This shirt is not the thickest fleece available and does not have windstop, however if used as an under layer it does what it's designed to do -- keep you warm! Great as a single layer in fall weather. A good choice for the outdoorsman who needs warm practical clothes. One last point -- seems to run a size small, so order a size larger than you usually do.

This is my 2nd fleece after the Denali, the Polartec 100 is of great feel and although is a rather close fit, if you order it a size bigger it won't feel too crumped. It is very lightweight and a pleasure to wear under my TNF Mountain Guide Gore Tex Jacket. Also bought one from my wife and she loves this one too.
Definitely another great fleece from TNF.

This is a great fleece but it is very small. I own several North Face shirts that are very similar and I always wear a large. I ordered a large and I can't even put it on. I gave it to my girlfriend and she loves the shirt. So if you order this shirt order one or two sizes bigger or it will not fit you.

i got this shirt for a mid layer under a softshell and found out it is warm and silky soft.the strech panels are a nice touch.this shirt is perfect as a next to skin layer and eliminates the need for a mid layer.a good looking and versatile piece.

Love this shirt. Works well for running in chilly weather, or around town under a waterproof shell. Soft, almost cashmere like feel to the fabric. Runs a little small so you may need to go up a size. As always, Altrec provided great service and fast delivery.

Wonderful cold weather active wear fleece. Its been great for running in the fall, and I can still wear it as I warm up during the run. Thin and light enough to keep in my cycling bag for commutes to work also.

Trouble deciding which peice of clothing to leave behind to help lighten the load? Simple soulution. Combining my rain jacket with The North Face Aurora Zip solved the problem of having to take an outer shell. By using the Aurora Zip under the rain shell I found I could leave the bulkier outer jacket at home. The Aurora Zip is a great layering piece. I have found it to be very comfortable and warm by itself. A great item to make the trips a little lighter.

Close fitting for easy layering, and the warmth to weight ratio is unbelievable! As warm as it is, it still transitions well for going from the cold outdoors to warmth and not feeling like you'll burst into flames.

I bought this top as an insulating piece for running and hiking here in the rainy Pacific Northwest. The soft fleece is very comfortable, almost like cashmere. It is also a nice piece to wear around town under a rain shell. The Polartec 100 fleece kept me warm, but is not too heavy to overheat you. Runs a little small so you may want to size up.

It is also durable. I have a cat who likes to paw on my Aurora. Unlike other fleece tops, it does't shed as much, nor does it tear...its not surprising, its a north face. I have other cheaper versions, and their reasons for being cheaper is quite clear. They just don't match up to the above qualities.
