Perfect pants
August 07, 2012

This is my first pair of North Face pants. The fit is exactly my size. They are durable, rugged and cool even though they are not cotton. Perfect for what I need. As soon as I finish this review I'm ordering a second pair. Altrec was great. I live in NY and I received my order in 3 days.

An Excellent 21st century Pant
September 28, 2012

I have been a fan of TNF paramount utility pants which are no longer for sale. My search for a replacement has been found with the Burke Pant. Fit - The size may be bit more generous with the cut but not much and they are in no way baggy. I am pushing a size 40 but only a 38 was available. The 38 is ideal for me (6'1", 205 lbs). If you prefer a slim fit like your girlfriend's Levis skinny jeans try to downsize. The elastane component gives the pant a stretchy give to allow for motion and fit. Stretch seems more in vertical dimensions than in horizontal. While sitting, they drape relaxingly without strain. Fabric - The fabric is a mid-weight nylon with a very subdued ripstop weave. The knap of the fabric is smooth without feeling slinky. It yields a near slick feel thanks to a tight thread count when you run you hand across it in any direction. It reminds me of the comfortable feel of TNF's Silver Ridge shirts which themselves are outstanding. THe DWR repellency is a plus for short term rain repellency. It seems to promise longlasting durability - much more than cotton can offer so the upfront price doesn't scare me away. I can't praise the elastane stretch enough, the pant gives and conforms for any position without binding - what comfort!. Pockets are well designed. The front zippers slim the look of the front of the pant when not in use. Leaving them unzipped while empty doesn't produce the "fish-mouthing" some pants show. Rear zipper back pockets offer the same secure generous storage which remains slim when not in use. No baggy cargo pant here. BONUS - You get a choice of placing a gadget / smartphone in the zippered right midleg pocket or flapped left midleg pocket with plenty of room without fear of it falling out. My iPhone 5 slips in there great and I'm sure a bigger screen phone would be fine too. This garment leads me to appreciate the engineering that must have gone into it's design. See what 2012+ materials and design features can do for comfort and good looks.

Nice pant
September 12, 2012

This is a really very nice pant, I bought it for my husband, but the size 30 seems a bit large for him, he is about 170cm tall and thin, maybe I'm not quite expericed. But I still recommened this pant, just choose the right size.

Pros: Great design, Lasts forever, Performance, Ease of use, Great value

FANTRASTIC PANTS
September 03, 2012

A friend of mine ware these pants and my work. I tried to find it on North Face’s web site but some how I could not. My friend found it on Altrec web site. I was lucky because this was on sale. So I ordered it and I received it on time. I am 5’ 10” tall and 145 pounds. I ordered size 32 Regular. It was perfect. I am going to be very honest and I think it is the most comfortable pants I have worn so far. Fabric is fantastic. I tried to Iron it very carefully to create crease (DO NOT PUT IRON ON HOT SETTINGS). It does not hold crease after you ware it. But any way it was a fantastic buy. I am buying more very soon.

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance, Ease of use, great
