This jacket is lightweight yet so warm. Perfect length covering you completely. It is great for layering under it for those cold cold days. The hood is an added bonus...fits nicely so you can still see. Highly recommended..and great price.

I'm very happy with this jacket. From the pictures I was a little concerned about it being too bulky, but it's very lightweight and compresses easily. Almost bought a synthetic insulated jacket, but after reading some reviews and after trying this jacket out in the cold, down is the way to go! Much warmer, easily compressible, maintains its shape nicely after unpacking. Just don't get it wet, may want a separate shell over this for really wet days. The finish of the material is more durable than other puffy jackets, but remains light and doesn't make the jacket too heavy.

Love the jacket - it's so warm and comfortable. Fits really well and looks great. I'd definitely buy it again and shop at Altrec.........love the color, really functional.

Men's Catalyst Jacket is very light weight, very warm, and look very nice. I like it so much. I almost wear everyday, doesn't matter outside so cold, I stay warm all the time.

I bought it for my husband. very light, looks great, unfortunately he thinks that it"s not going to be good enough for a really cold winter. As for a website: quick and efficient....I'll be coming back for some more products

Much lighter than I expected but warm. I thought because it was 800 down it would be a heavier coat but to my surprise it's very light but does the job. My son loves it.

I love this jacket... have wanted a puffer like coat but hate the bulk... stop looking this is the best one out there. It is super warm with the 800 fill and there is absolutely no bulk. I wear a 42reg suitcoat and the large is perfect with enough room for a layer or two. It can be packed down to nothing and never gets wrinkled.

This is a very good jacket, very light and extremely warm. It has a hoodie that is helpful, and it has an extra front pocket that i find pretty useful.

I bought it for my husband. We live in NY, and the jacket was perfect for the cold weather here. What I like about the jacket: (1) It is VERY light. (800 count) (2) still warm. keeps my husband warm in the cold weather. (3) Doesn't make my husband look like a snowman (like many down parkas do...) (4) you can get slim silhouette. (5) Nice, expensive-looking fabric (6) Black fabric with the red zipper (visually no uninteresting as other North Face parkas) My only complaint is it could be a little longer. It sits exactly at the hip line. I wish it sits at thighs... but I found that most North Face's men's jackets have the same lengths.

This jacket is warm if layered properly..... I wore a tshirt and fleece sweater and I was very warm in 12 Degree weather. It is very light weight, fits snugged...... doesnt make you look like the marshmallow man.... a must if you are looking for low pack volume and light weight!!!
