Great value!
I bought this for my dad, and he absolutely loves it. It fits him really well, although it might be a bit large in the sleeves (he's 5'8 and average build). He says its warm, and a perfect jacket for the post-winter weather.

Love North Face
Great jacket that is both comfortable and warm. Also, the jacket looks great and goes with any casual clothes. I will enjoy wearing this when I head out west to go skiing.

Great Product
This North Face Denali jacket is one of the best jackets I have ever worn. The fleece is durable and comfortable. The perfect jacket for the sometimes damp and cold winters in the south.

Great light weight jacket
Very warm and comfortable. Pockets are very handy with easy access. I would recommend to anyone. It is one of the best light jackets I have owned. The only down fall would be it is not very wind resistant

Great staple jacket
I bought this jacket for my son and he loves it. He wears it well into the winter in the northeast, with a heavier shirt underneath, and it keeps him warm on very cold days. It is not bulky and goes well with jeans as well as dressier khakis. Fits true to size, but one could size up if they wanted to put more layers under it. We would definitely buy another one when he outgrows this jacket.

Absolutely love this jacket. The fit is perfect. Wonderful jacket for all winter season here in the south - its great for layering. My husband is 5'11" and weighs about 180lbs... He finds it quite comfy!!

Up to 3 of these...
I now have three of these. I'm about 6'2" and a fit 210 lbs. and the large fits perfect. I often have trouble with larges being too short but x-large being too baggy in the torso. The North Face seems to be about the only company that has figured out that some people get taller with longer arms without the increased gut size. Great Fit!

A good staple for any jacket collection
The north face denali is a necessary jacket for anyone's closet. I really like the reinforced shoulder pads, zippers, and packability this garment offers. It's great for 25° and up. You can't have fall without a denali north face jacket in your collection.

WARMEST FLEECE EVER
i bought this because i succumbed to the peer pressure haha. all my friends seemed to have one and they love it and for me going to college in the new england it gets soooo cold here so i needed something to keep me warm. i wear my NF almost everyday because it is sooo warm and durable and so lightweight! best purchase ive made in awhile!

Jacket is great.
All of my boys love the denali jacket. it is lightweight but keeps them warm enough during the all and winter when they walk to school. it is on the expensive side unless you can find it on sale which occassionally happens.

Great Fall Jacket... Outstanding Quality

Good Fit
This is a really nice jacket. The sizing is accurate and very comfortable to wear. The style and fabric is lightweight but durable and is something that can be adapted to various activities.

After shopping around a few places in town and disgusted with the selection and over priced items, I remembered Altrec. The NF Recycled Denali jacket was exactly the color and price I was looking for and little difference from the original version. Keeps me warm on cold early Utah mornings without the hassle of being too cumbersome. Excellent for breezy evenings too. Shipping was easy and arrived within a week.

excelent, bur problem with
,It is an excellent article in many respects, comfort, protection from the wind and keeps you warm, regulate its repellent to water, their materials and completed are of very good quality. Personally thing I notice is that the bank of his fists tends to wear out very fast in comparison with the rest of the garment. It is so versatile that you can use in casual. In general it is a distinctive garment of the mark.
You would recommend to a friend.

Well-made, comfortable jacket, a little large
This is the "it" jacket for high school and college students, apparently---so it could certainly be worse! The biggest complaint here is a pretty steep price for what you get. It's very handsome, comfortable, and just warm enough, thankfully, for our NC winters, and is wind/rain-resistant. It also runs a little bit generous in sizing, which is nice for layering a hoodie if need be for unusually cold days. Keep in mind that up north (where we're from originally) you'd HAVE to layer with this jacket if you were outside for any period of time. It's better suited for southern winters: VA and south, or just errand hopping (in and out of heated cars and stores!) in colder climates. Definitely put together well with thick, cozy fleece and strong, even seams, flawless stitching.

I purchased this for my son and it fit him great. It is very warm and will probably work through most of the Minnesota winter as teenagers don't like to wear anything real heavy. The color was also just as I hoped.

Great Jacket...North Face comes through again! Jacket fits great and is very warm and lightweight. Size is true but sleeves tend to be a bit tight but acceptable.

great jacket!
Its the middle of the summer, so I havent put the jacket to good use yet, but just from trying it on, I know its warm! I'm about 5'7" and the medium fits great. Sleeves come past my wrists a little, but I consider that a good thing. The two chest pockets are convenient, and its North Face, so you know its quality. Buy it, you will get your money's worth.

Son in college loves it
Bought this for my son in college who's an upcoming freshman. He always loves North Face jackets and this is now one of his favorites. Keeps him warm when walking from class to class, but he can keep it on buildings by opening up the vents if he gets warm. Overall, another great North Face jacket!

great jacket!
I bought this jacket for my uncle as a gift. I did not tell him first and did not know his size. I order the medium and luckily, it fit him perfect. He definitely loves it. He lives in Norway where it always below zero all the time. The jacket is keeping him very warm. He said, he wears it every day. He wants me to buy for his wife the women Denali also.( he will pay :))

Overrated!
I found this jacket highly overrated, based on so many good reviews here. It is a very heavy fleece jacket, bulky (especially around arm pit area), and not very comfortable. I really don't like this jacket and barely wear it. I found Arc'teryx Atom LT hoody can provide same warmth but a lot lighter, and much more comfortable, not to mention looks much cooler.

Great jacket
This is probably the best jacket I have ever owned. Although it is a but pricey, the quality, fit, and comfort are well worth your money. It is totally windproof, and would do well in the snow as well. Another huge feature is that it can be zipped into other NorthFace outer jackets, such as one that I own, and provides the warmth and waterproof abilities of the high end ski jackets. I recommend one saves up their pennies and purchases this rather than a less quality brand.

I purchased the Men's Denali Jacket as a 'go-to' jacket to wear around town and around the house. To this effect I am very pleased. The Denali Jacket is extremely comfortable and warm due to the thick fleece sleeves yet small zippers under the armpits allow for excellent breathing room.
I am 5'11" and around 155lbs and the small fits perfectly (though I prefer a snug fit).
Shipping was lightning quick and the price was significantly less than retail.

Great jacket but too big for my son
I bought this for my 12 year old son who is tall and skinny (got the men's small). He liked the jacket and the sleeves were the right length, but the body was just too big for him. Sadly, I returned it.

Quality Jacket
The jacket has fine craftsmanship and is very comfortable. It will fit nicely into an outshell for additional protection from the elements. I think that will be needed for weather below freezing. The price was good.

A Must to Have it
I liked my first denali. I dont have a choice but chose this blue water color because that was the only available size. But when I got it, the small size was a little bit big. Other than that, denali is a must have. The fabric is smooth and warm.
Would recommend it to anyone who wants to have it.

this jacket seems light but is still warm, not warm enough to wear alone when the temperature is freezng, but good enough in low fifties.

I ordered the Denali North Face Fleece Jacket for my son for Christmas and it was a complete hit. He was so surprised and he looked to cute in it. The fit was true to size and the quality is great. Men's Denali Jacket
I live in New England and this is my second Denali jacket.
I really can't say enough good things about the Denali jacket -the fit and finish is first rate, and they wear like iron.
I wear the jacket inside at work and outside from fall through spring from temperatures ranging from the mid 70's down to 35 degrees ( anything colder than that and I wear the Denali under a heavier jacket )
Not a jacket to cut the wind but for most everyhting else it is excellent.

The North Face Denali jacket is a must have for every college kid. The perfect 'in-between' weather jacket and most every kid on campus has one. I bought one for my first son 3 years ago for college (in Phila) and it's his most worn piece of clothing. It also looks as good as it did when i bought it. My second son was accepted to university (also in Phila) and I had to get him his The North Face!

Great Fleece!
The Denali is a great jacket both stylistically and practically. I purchased the jacket a few weeks ago and am very satisfied. The jacket is very versatile. Obviously it can be worn outside but it also works well as an indoor jacket when it's a little chilly. It's very comfortable and if you get a little too steamy the pit zips will give you a little relief. The wind does tend to cut through the coat. If you are looking for something a little more wind proof I would go with the Denali Wind pro. I have a wind pro as well and it seems to stand up to the wind a little better .... hence the name. As far as the sizing goes, I would say order your normal size, unless you have a larger chest. It can be a little snug in the chest area if you have an athletic build. I myself have a larger chest and found my normal size to be a little snug as the material on the chest and shoulders does not stretch as much as the material on the wind pro. I did however, go with my normal size.
Overall it's a great jacket for both indoors and outdoors!

Denali Fan
I'm a big fan of North Face and even a bigger fan of the Denali jacket. This is my second Denali and for good reason. An excellent jacket for cool weather or layered under item for those northern snow storms. Extreme comfort and durability, excellent for outdoor activities, i.e. skiing, snowboarding, hiking, etc. Only con is it's a bit pricey for a fleece. But at the end of the day I'm very happy with my purchase

Good buy
This jacket doesnt really have much technical performance, but for some reason i still wear it 4+ days a week in the nothwest. In my opinion is is quite fasionable, clean and simple, but a little annoying when you can start a club of Denali Wear-ers everywhere you go! Its very warm, and really comfortable because its soft fleece inside and out. I like the pockets and pit zips (not mesh lined), and its sooooo light too. The bad part is that its not windproof at all, after you've worn it for about a week the fabric stretches and just lets all air pass thru without a fight, and that makes the warmth of the fleece useless. In your normal size it is pretty roomy and too bulky to layer under a shell, but in a size down it will work ok as a layer, but be REALLY hot so high-output activites like snowboarding would not be a good idea with this as a layer. The nylon panels are very waterproof with the DWR and can easily withstand a light shower, but the rest gets wet and nasty and doesnt dry very quickly.

Love the jacket. Great quality. Definitely will recommend to others. Jacket fits well on me. I bough a size M, considering I'm 5'6 & weight about 150lbs. I wore the jacket in the cold weather & rainy weather & its still withhold all that conditions.

I got this jacket as a birthday gift from my parents last month. This also happened to be my first North Face product so I didn't know what to expect from it other than the fact that it's so darn popular with kids and adults alike. I tried it in the store before they bought it and I started sweating. It's that warm. LOL. I like that it's not bulky at all and can handle temperatures as low as 42 deg and can feel comfortable all the way up to the low 60s. Around the low 30s, I used a sweatshirt for added warmth. But It feels comfortable without any extra layer when you are doing something active outdoors in the cold. I recently tried using this as an extra layer to my new NF Apex Paradigm jacket when we hit temps below freezing. Because it's so light, it really didn't add too much bulk to the Paradigm jacket. For active outdoor activities in the cold weather with effective wind protection, I would really recommend this jacket. I hope it last a few years because I love the way it looks and feels.

My Go-To Fuzzy Layer
I agree with the other reviewers about how great this jacket is. And here's why I like it so much - the upper chest half actually has a nylon layer that provides some wind stopping. It's not a wind stopper; but close enough that I can wear this baby in many situations that would, with other fuzzies, require a shell layer.

Warm and comfy
This is a great warm layer. Paired with a shell, you're good to go for most weather. The side pockets are nice and roomy for laying your gloves and hat flat so you don't feel like a puffed out marshmallow. The are a few other useful pockets, so you are never without a place to put something. I wear this as my outer layer every day. It does have some wind resistance, but a good chilly wind will whip right through it, but again, that's what a shell is for. I love this jacket and I would recommend it to anyone. It gets a bad rap in some circles because it somehow has become a fashion statement, but it's actually good gear. It will be going backpacking, skiing and camping with me at the very least.

Another great product from The North Face. Well made, fit is true to size and is a very warm, although the wind does tend to blow throught the pocket area. Makes agreat liner under an outside shell in MN winters as well as nice jacket in temps that are above 0 F.

Big hit !!!
Christmas presents are always a challenge, especially with young boys, as they usually only desire some electronic gadget, but this year I nailed it with the North Face jackets. The loud shout of excitment from our 9 year old was deafening, in fact 3 days later I asked him to take it off so it could be laundered. Which, by the way, came out beautifully, no shrinking, peeling, held it's shape, and looked like new.
The jacket for our oldest was too small but he was so happy he didn't mind waiting. The selection of size and color at Altrec can't be beat, I know because I shopped numerous stores before I came across this site.
The return/ exchange policy is simplified by acquiring a return authorization then repurchasing the correct size as the replacement jacket arrived quickly. I was notified when the returmed jacket was recieved and was credited promptly.

Mens Denali Jacket
I have been a fan of North Face products for quite a while and I haven't been disappointed yet. I am not a person that likes to wear big bulky coats so I buy these fleece jackets for layering. Big coats make me feel like Ralphies little brother. (A Christmas Story fans). It fits true to size and although it seems like a light jacket, it is very warm and windproof. As long as North Face continues to produce quality products, they will always have at least 1 consumer. Enjoy!

The Best Heavy Fleece
This is the standard by which all other heavy fleeces are judged. There are many new brands & models but after comparing to others ( Patagonia, Arc' Teryx, Mountain Hardware...) this is the one we came back to when buying (after returning) a new fleece for a Christmas present. It is warm & blocks the wind. AND it lasts for many years. Mine is over 15 yrs old & it is in great shape. The pit zips provide good flexibility when you are overheating & its so light that its easy to carry if too hot. Only on the coldest days (sub 10*F) do i wear it under my shell for skiing. In summary, its a great piece of equipment you can't go wrong with. Sure many, many people have this jacket--for a good reason.

What Can I Say? It's The North Face
There's nothing like a lightweight winter jacket that actually keeps you warm without dragging you down. The Denali does that and more. The fabric is perfect, and the fit is comfortable. I have a long walk to the parking lot at work with a strong wind hitting me head on, and this jacket does the trick. It's pricey, but worth it!

Christmas :)
I gave this as a Christmas present and they loved it. The color was exactly like the picture. The jacket was thicker than I originally thought but I thought that it was a nice suprise. The only thing is that it runs a little on the small side, considering you will have layers of clothes on when wearing it. I loved that the website shipped this jacket and it made it here before they said that it would and it kept me posted with any changes in my order. This is a great jacket and a great website! I would definitely recommend both in the future.

Denali Jacket
My husband has this same jacket and has been wearing it for 5 years. It's held up so well and still looks great so we bought the jacket for our son. I love that it's made from recycled materials and you can't beat North Face quality. The vent zippers under the arms allow you to vent the jacket if you are performing strenuous activity and keeps you from sweating, a definite plus. Overall a great jacket for fall and mild winter climates. These jackets are not cheap, in fact the price is the same that my husband paid over 5 years ago but well worth the investment!

This is a great jacket as a liner or by it's self. The wind will blow through it, but that is exspected. Just put on a shell over it and you are good. Lots of pockets!

By far my favorite jacket! This is my 3rd Denali from North Face. Very durable, love the new colors, and perfect for a cold winter. I wear the jacket underneath my shell on the slopes for extra protection on windy days, and then it's perfect for after skiing alone.

Great jacket
This jacket is a great purchase. It is very versTile and looks good with very casual to less casual clothing. The jacket still looks great after washing. It does collect lint though. Nothing a lint brush cannot fix. Love it!

warm, comfy, well-made
The jacket is well-made, light for the quality of warmth. The pit-zips provide a nice way of fine-tuning the temperature regulation. Each zipper has a cloth pull, making it easier to use with gloves. Plenty of pockets, two at chest-level. The Polartec fabric is reinforced at the elbows and at the chest, avoiding a problem I've had with a similar product - elbows showing substantial wear after long use. Take note: the product description says that the fit is "loose". Indeed it is; my true size is almost exactly between a "small" and "medium" based on the sizing chart, and I take a medium in virtually every other jacket type and manufacturer and the jacket does seem a bit big. The price was great, a substantial discount over retailers and some other online sources. All in all, a great buy.

Good Value
I received the jacket in August so I haven't used it yet. I'm 6' - 180 lbs (long arms-slim wrists), and I bought a large. The fit is decent (a little loose) though I wish the cuffs were snugger. The price was great since the jacket was $60 cheaper than the local stores, like D**k's Sporting Goods.
