I bought this for my dad, and he absolutely loves it. It fits him really well, although it might be a bit large in the sleeves (he's 5'8 and average build). He says its warm, and a perfect jacket for the post-winter weather.

The jacket has fine craftsmanship and is very comfortable. It will fit nicely into an outshell for additional protection from the elements. I think that will be needed for weather below freezing. The price was good.

fast shipping from Altrec . this jacket seems light but is still warm, not warm enough to wear alone when the temperature is freezng, but good enough in low fifties. the green color looks like a kaki color and is really nice.

I now have three of these. I'm about 6'2" and a fit 210 lbs. and the large fits perfect. I often have trouble with larges being too short but x-large being too baggy in the torso. The North Face seems to be about the only company that has figured out that some people get taller with longer arms without the increased gut size. Great Fit!

I live in New England and this is my second Denali jacket. I really can't say enough good things about the Denali jacket -the fit and finish is first rate, and they wear like iron. I wear the jacket inside at work and outside from fall through spring from temperatures ranging from the mid 70's down to 35 degrees ( anything colder than that and I wear the Denali under a heavier jacket ) Not a jacket to cut the wind but for most everyhting else it is excellent.

This jacket is fantastic. North Face is a great brand, delivering high quality products. The jacket looks good and functions even better. I use this jacket for everyday use, but it can withstand day long hiking trips. It vents well if you get toasty but can stop a 5-10 mph breeze. Prepare for stronger breezes with additional layers. It has withstood several dogs jumping on me without tearing, highlighting the quality of craftsmenship.

All three of my kids now own this jacket. 2 males and 1 female. They all love the fit, comfort and style of this jacket. It is timeless as my older niece and nephew got these exact jackets in college and are still wearing them (they are both now 27). These jackets are perfect for our southern winters....however, my nephew and niece both went to college in the midwest where it does get much chillier than southern Texas.

I purchased the Men's Denali Jacket as a 'go-to' jacket to wear around town and around the house. To this effect I am very pleased. The Denali Jacket is extremely comfortable and warm due to the thick fleece sleeves yet small zippers under the armpits allow for excellent breathing room. I am 5'11" and around 155lbs and the small fits perfectly (though I prefer a snug fit). Shipping was lightning quick and the price was significantly less than retail.

Its the middle of the summer, so I havent put the jacket to good use yet, but just from trying it on, I know its warm! I'm about 5'7" and the medium fits great. Sleeves come past my wrists a little, but I consider that a good thing. The two chest pockets are convenient, and its North Face, so you know its quality. Buy it, you will get your money's worth.

The North Face Denali jacket is a must have for every college kid. The perfect 'in-between' weather jacket and most every kid on campus has one. I bought one for my first son 3 years ago for college (in Phila) and it's his most worn piece of clothing. It also looks as good as it did when i bought it. My second son was accepted to university (also in Phila) and I had to get him his The North Face!

The north face denali is a necessary jacket for anyone's closet. I really like the reinforced shoulder pads, zippers, and packability this garment offers. It's great for 25° and up. You can't have fall without a denali north face jacket in your collection.

This is probably the best jacket I have ever owned. Although it is a but pricey, the quality, fit, and comfort are well worth your money. It is totally windproof, and would do well in the snow as well. Another huge feature is that it can be zipped into other NorthFace outer jackets, such as one that I own, and provides the warmth and waterproof abilities of the high end ski jackets. I recommend one saves up their pennies and purchases this rather than a less quality brand.

TNF Denali Jacket

It's easy to see why TNF Denali Jacket is one of their most popular products. This jacket is extremely warm, and unless it's downpouring or you reside in or frequent extremely cold environments, you really don't have to wear anything else. I live in Maryland where the winters are generally pretty mild, and there are times when this jacket is too much for the 40, 45 degree weather, (but perhaps that has more to do with my internal thermostat). In a really brisk wind with just a t-shirt and flannel shirt beneath, l did notice some wind penetration, but not enough to send me running for another jacket. I'm glad I read the other reviews before ordering, because this jacket does indeed run a whole size larger than normal. (In my experience, TNF's products, although I do think they are great products, tend to be a bit inconsistent with the sizing. I own a TNF 3-in-1 jacket in large and it fits like a large. I also own two pair of the same TNF pants both in 36 waist, and one pair is considerably larger than the other.) Based on the reviews I read, I ordered a medium, and it fits me like a large in another product would have (I am 6'0" and 180 lbs.), so you would be better off ordering a size down from your normal size. The only complaint I have, and I did read this in a couple of other reviews, is that the Recycled Polartec, while great for the environment, does shed quite a bit. I washed the jacket shortly after I bought it, and that did seem to take care of most of the shedding, but I still notice a lot of the tiny fibers on my pants and backpack when I wear the jacket, so maybe another wash or two will help. But for that, I would have given this product five stars. All in all, a really warm, comfortable jacket for the cold weather.

Since it is fleece, it is not very windproof. However, when combined with a shell it is very good under all conditions. By itself it is good down to around 15 deg F if you are moving around. Note: I do not get cold easily so think of the jacket as a heavy sweater with pockets. Zippers are robust and last--based on my other jacket that has the same zippers. Color is a bit less dark than the website display, but is OK--I have the green one.

I bought this jacket for my son and he loves it. He wears it well into the winter in the northeast, with a heavier shirt underneath, and it keeps him warm on very cold days. It is not bulky and goes well with jeans as well as dressier khakis. Fits true to size, but one could size up if they wanted to put more layers under it. We would definitely buy another one when he outgrows this jacket.

I found this jacket highly overrated, based on so many good reviews here. It is a very heavy fleece jacket, bulky (especially around arm pit area), and not very comfortable. I really don't like this jacket and barely wear it. I found Arc'teryx Atom LT hoody can provide same warmth but a lot lighter, and much more comfortable, not to mention looks much cooler.

I purchased this jacket for my youngest son who is now driving. I somewhat knew what to expect since we bought his older brother the same style jacket 3 years ago but in a different color. He still wears it. It's a little pricier than what I would like to pay, but since my older son has warn his for 3 years (and it doesn't appear that my youngest son will be growing much more than where he is now) we thought it was okay to make this investment. The jacket arrived and I was pleased to see the same quality as the previous NF Denali Jacket we purchased. I fully expect my son to be in college before he needs another jacket like this. I would definitely recommend.

I bought this for my 13 year old son who refuses to wear a jacket unless it is below zero. He has been wearing this to middle school every day since I bought it and it has been about 40 to 50 degrees. It is warm and comfortable. The most important part is that he told me that it is "cool." This fleece jacket is extremely warm! I use it from skiing, to hiking to hanging on a summer night off the boat docks. you name it it goes with me. it layers great with any hardshell and looks stylish too when heading into town for a drink or coffee!

This is a great fleece. It is breathable and very strong in construction. The reason why fleeces are great is because of it's breath-ability. it wickens moisture very well. However at it's price point, there are dozens of fleece jackets that will perform just as well at the fraction of the cost. Great jacket though. But not for the money.

After shopping around a few places in town and disgusted with the selection and over priced items, I remembered Altrec. The NF Recycled Denali jacket was exactly the color and price I was looking for and little difference from the original version. Bought this for my son in college who's an upcoming freshman. He always loves North Face jackets and this is now one of his favorites. Keeps him warm when walking from class to class, but he can keep it on buildings by opening up the vents if he gets warm. Overall, another great North Face jacket!

The fleece is very tightly woven and of high quality. Best i've owned. Functional jacket because it can be zipped into most North Face outershell jackets plus there are zippered ventilation areas under the arms. You can reach long and high in this jacket with the extra fabric underneath the arms. Cons: it feels odd having the zippers and extra material under the arms but I got used to it quick. Size: I have a medium, i'm 180 lbs, 6' 0'', 33 inch waist. Fits perfect.

I've been wearing the zip-in liner for my Columbia winter jacket as my spring/fall coat, but it wasn't very durable, and I needed something to take its place. The Denali is perfect. I must say, these do run a size large. I'm 6'1 and about 215. I'm normally an XL, but I was swimming in the XL. Large fit like a glove. Return process for the XL was quick and easy. The Denali is perfect. It can also be used as a zip-in liner, but I'm using it just as a fall/spring jacket. It's comfortable, flexible, warm and super light. Couldn't be happier.

This jacket is good looking and warm. it is perfect for the coldest winter day. It is also durable and stylish.

Very warm and comfortable. Pockets are very handy with easy access. I would recommend to anyone. It is one of the best light jackets I have owned. The only down fall would be it is not very wind resistant

A Must to Have it

I liked my first denali. I dont have a choice but chose this blue water color because that was the only available size. But when I got it, the small size was a little bit big. Other than that, denali is a must have. The fabric is smooth and warm. Would recommend it to anyone who wants to have it.

excelent, bur problem with

,It is an excellent article in many respects, comfort, protection from the wind and keeps you warm, regulate its repellent to water, their materials and completed are of very good quality. Personally thing I notice is that the bank of his fists tends to wear out very fast in comparison with the rest of the garment. It is so versatile that you can use in casual. In general it is a distinctive garment of the mark. You would recommend to a friend.

I took my teenage son to the mall to purchase a new jacket with money he received from Christmas. He had his heart set on a North Face Denali, but did not have enough money. While in the store, he searched the Internet and found the exact same jacket, for much less money, at Altrec. When we returned home, I researched Altrec, checking out customer reviews. Pleased with what I read, I purchased the jacket that day through Altrec. It arrived within a week. My son is extremely happy with the softness, warmth, and styling of the jacket. I ordered a size medium adult and there is plenty of room for him to grow (although a small would probably have fit him better); he weighs about 115 lbs and is 5'5". He is thrilled to be able to own a top name brand jacket that he was able to pay for by himself. Thanks to Altrec for offering a great product at an affordable price! I definitely will return to Altrec!

Well-made, comfortable jacket, a little large

This is the "it" jacket for high school and college students, apparently---so it could certainly be worse! The biggest complaint here is a pretty steep price for what you get. It's very handsome, comfortable, and just warm enough, thankfully, for our NC winters, and is wind/rain-resistant. It also runs a little bit generous in sizing, which is nice for layering a hoodie if need be for unusually cold days. Keep in mind that up north (where we're from originally) you'd HAVE to layer with this jacket if you were outside for any period of time. It's better suited for southern winters: VA and south, or just errand hopping (in and out of heated cars and stores!) in colder climates. Definitely put together well with thick, cozy fleece and strong, even seams, flawless stitching.
