Great shoe
November 08, 2011

The GTX XCR is a great shoe. I am a extreme overpronator. The shoes provide a really stable platform. They are comfortable and not bad looking either. I have taken them on a few 4 mile runs and they make a big difference in my knee joints. If you are a overpronator, I would recommend these running shoes.

Awesome trail shoe!
March 12, 2012

I recently ordered this shoe after researching a shoe to use for the Tough Mudder event this May in Minnesota. I've tried several different types of trail shoes but had not found one that I thought would hold up until this one! It is light weight but very stable and seems very sturdy. It holds up well to rugged terrain as well as hills. I was able to put these on and run in them right out of the box!

Pros: stable, lightweight, gore-tex, ample room for forefoot, Cons: yellow?

Super Shoe
October 08, 2012

I have purchased several competing brands with Gore Tex from Altrec with varying degrees of success; one brand gave me shine splints, others were not durable or comfortable. The North Face Double Track GTX XCR is without a doubt the most supportive, comfortable shoe I have worn. I use them for hiking, trail walking with some running, work outs and casual wear. Their versatility is outstanding. The Gore Tex is valuable for rainy days while walking my labs around the lake. I like them so much, I purchased the women's version for my wife!

Pros: comfort, support, water proof, good value for the above, Cons: none
