Great Coat
I just got this coat and it is the first winter i've had it but i have used it for trail running, backpacking, skiing and just to wear around town. It is an all around great coat and i really am satisified with my purchase.

great quality, dependable brand
This jacket is great for pretty much any activity. Very confortable and durable. Good for staying dry in the snow and keeping warm with a fleece under it. Adjustable cuffs and botton to fit closer to body.

Great Coat

Great Jacket
I buy this jacket in a quick choosing, and I discovered that it's great, I've used it for almost everything, I climbed the Mexican volcanoes, climbed the Aconcagua in Argentina, used it for backpacking in Scottish Highlands and even cross country ski and always did very good performance. The bad point is a little accumulation of moisture in arms when cross-country skiing and rock climbing. If you want an excellent jacket buy a Lowe Alpine's eVent or an Arc'Teryx, but if you want not so expensive good perfomance shell this is simply the best.

A price worth jacket, but not the greatest.
The first time I jused the jacket was on a sailingtrip on the swedish westcoast with my scout friends on the Mandalay (36 ft). It proved to be waterproof and windproof for all that I could see. But the roughness of the fabric is not quite convincing since I got a little scratch the second day. I´m going to try and get it fixed to day, and I don´t belive there will be any problem. But it dissapoints me. Still it is a good jacket. It looks really nice, and it fits good on me. And it keeps the weather out for a really good price!

Needs more attention to detail.
For the price it is a fairly nice coat. However, I have a problem with mine, of which I would not expect from North Face. The inside web chest pockets tend to hang outside the front of the coat when it is unzipped and I find it hard to believe North Face didn't catch this and fix it. This is unsightly and its a toss up whether I will return it or have it altered.
