Love these pants
January 25, 2013
I am extremely glad I purchased these pants. Of the different ones to choose from, these have an awesome fit due to the adjustable waist. If you want to pack on some additional layers on a cold day - no worries. The pants have plenty of room for movement yet not baggy in any way. Conveniently placed pockets. I love the vent zips for those late season warm ski days. North Face always make a quality product. I have no doubt these will wear well. I may even pick up a pair in another color.

I have been purchasing outdoor products from Altrec for several years. The service is friendly, products arrive promptly (often with no shipping cost), and returns are hassle-free. Prices are competitive. With the purchase of the North Face Men's Freedom Insulated Pants, I was especially happy to find a small extra long to fit my tall, slim nephew.
Great Multi-Purpose Winter Pant
March 04, 2011
I purchased these pants mainly for ice fishing in northern Wisconsin. I had no problems staying warm in -10 degree weather for 4 hours straight. For size comparison, I have a 32" waist and ~32" inseam and ordered a large-regular. Very happy with this purchase!

Long Length Great
January 27, 2012
Hard to get ski pants in long enough lengths. These are well made and look good and fit a tall person. They look good and have some insulation, so they should work for a range of weather.

TNF Freedom Insulated Pants
May 15, 2011
I have used these pants for two seasons now and I have not yet found anything to complain about. They fit well, they are comfortable, they are warm, and they are dry. I've read some reviews that there is some wear near the cuff where it rubs with bindings, but I've never experienced that. They are also available without the insulation, if you do a lot of spring skiing or if you prefer the ability to adjust your warmth. The pockets are great and hold everything but don't puff out or feel like they're taking over half of the leg. Be sure to get a size that fits well since there are no suspenders... otherwise you may wind up with a bit of snow below the belt.
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Lasts forever, PerformancePerfect!

North Face Freedom Pants
November 18, 2012
These pants are well made and fit true to size. The waist is adjustable and I have no problem with them falling down without suspenders. Handy pockets. They have a medium width leg and are not too baggy. They are warm and I felt no chill in 10 degree F weather. Reasonably priced and well worth the money.
Best ski pants I have found yet!
January 07, 2011
Best fitting, best material, best looking ski pants I have found. I am 6'2", 230lbs, so I need a proper fitting durable ski pant. The XL Regular length is the best! Warm and so comfortable. The vents are perfect too. Great fit.

All Around All The Time
December 29, 2011
I'll use these pants throughout the winter for everything from plowing the driveway to downhill skiing. This winter's slow start has not presented the plowing test but these pants performed great on the slopes. I tried them out on the limited trails at Sugarloaf in Maine. The trip up the mountain on the ski lift was quite comfortable, warm and toasty! On downhill ski runs the venting performed as designed, still warm but not sweaty. The pants certainly helped maximize my slope time! At 5'10" and 170-pounds with not a lot of body fat I'm pretty sensitive to winter cold and these pants, combined with my North Face Vortex jacket, were just the ticket! ...And don't sweat the baggy fit comments, roomy but not baggy is a better description.
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance, Great valueIt does insulate
December 28, 2009
the sizes were a bit tricky, I wear 32-34 and I ordered Medium, i tried the Small from a friend and it fit better. No complaints at all about the quality.
Finally... pants that fit!
December 09, 2011
I bought a pair of these for my husband last winter, and he liked them so much that I bought him another pair this year. He works (farms) in them every day that it is cold. He says they are the warmest, most comfortable pants he has ever had. I was worried how well they would wear, but they do not have any rips as of yet, so they are very durable. My husband is 6'5" and weighs 200 lbs. I ordered a large tall and they fits nicely and look nice as well. I would definitely reccommend these pants to anyone looking to stay warm in style!!
Pros: Lasts forever, Performance, Ease of useSize
January 04, 2012
I'm a 34x32 and these pants were skin tight in a size Medium. That is unwearable in winter, especially with layers, or with the intent of added flexibility. Get a size large if you are at or near those measurements.

Great snowboard/ski pants
February 06, 2013
Wore in -15 degree weather with heavy snow and winds steady 25-30 mph gusting to 45-50 and never once got cold. Had on one base layer of thermal pants. Recommend getting a size above what you normally wear. I purchased a large after trying a pair on at a local store, and I usually wear a 32-34 in pants.
