Its stylish and waterproof. I walked in the rain for 2 hours last weekend with this jacket and it kept me dry. Its not as breathable as I expect. Anyway its good jacket for this price if you wear it for light activities.

Product is a light weight shell and offers some protection from rain and wind. Good product to wear on a rainy spring / fall day. Jacket fits entirely into a pocket. Design is nice and true to size. Jacket's thin mesh liner is slightly uncomfortable, would have been nice if it had microfiber instead like most other North Face Shell Jackets. Overall good value in regards to price.

While I haven't put this windbreaker to any severe tests in the brief time I've been using it, I'm pleasantly surprised. There are design details and features I hadn't expected to see in a garment in this price range. The fabric has stood up nicely to 2 moderate wettings. It stuffs pretty easily into one of its pockets, making it quite portable. A minor complaint has to do with the stowable hood: One small rip and stick patch doesn't quite do the job of hiding the hood in the stand up collar. But all-in-all, I'm pleased and expect this jacket to be around for a while.

This jacket is worth every penny, its lightweight durable and great on rainy or windy days. You cant go wrong with the style of the jacket it basically goes with any outfit.

Size medium is perfect for me. (5'7" / 150 lbs) I was looking for a jacket with a mesh liner. I am hoping it will be comfortable in warm / wet weather. I'll post once the summer heat and rain storms arrive in Georgia. I love the look and fit. Would give it 5 stars if it had elastic in the cuffs and a zip-off hood.

This is a great jacket! It's got a nice thick shell, perfect for blocking wind and rain and a very breathable mesh interior. I am a very "hot natured" person and I do not get hot in this jacket. I have worn it in 30 degree weather, and 60 degree weather and was very comfortable.

I have been looking for a high-quality water-repellent jacket light enough for those 40-50 degree drizzly days we have so many of in Cleveland and I finally found this one. It's perfect. I haven't been in a downpour yet, but it's not intended to be a raincoat - I have plenty of those. It sheds water just fine and I love the color and the fact that it's extremely well made. Buy one before they're gone!

This Light jacket is for when it is raining..not when it is freezing cold..the image makes it look like a thick winter jacket so thats why i bought it..but anyways i still like it and ill keep it rather than returning it..

So It Rains A Lot Over Here In The Pacific Northwest And This Coat Keeps Me Dry Every Time . It Has No Insulation So I Usually Where A Hoodie Underneath . But Sometime Being Dry My Body Heat Is Warm Enough . Even In The Wind I Still Feel Warm , The Hood Has A Great Fit Also , Keeping Me Dry No Matter What . I Love This Coat Especially At Such A Good Price ! The Sleeves Are Kinda Wierd .

definitely NOT water proof, but it is resistant. It has a nice loose fit but not bulky. Heavier than a light rain jacket. love the stow hood and zip pockets. I would recommend this jacket!

I love this jacket. I wore it for the first time yesterday with shorts in a constant down pour. My top half was completely dry and and only thing wet was my shorts and legs! I immediatly said I need pants now. I have owned many north face jackets and all of them do what they say. the water just rain off my jacket and kept me completely dry. A great water resistant jacket, I am actually ordering one for my wife today, she was so jealous that I was not wet and she was. She told me, I want a jacket like yours! Thanks again Altrec for a great jacket at a great price.

I live in the city, so i dont usually rock climb, go jogging through trails in the forest or anything of that matter. The only reason why i am writing this review is because just last week, hurricane irene ripped through the area where i live and i just happened to be wearing my north face geosphere rain jacket at the time. I was in the eye of a hurricane with rain pouring down and my jacket kept me completely dry. I was also wearing some adidas sweatpants and my legs wear soaked! I can deff tell the differences between this jacket and all of my previous rain jackets i've owned.

Perfect for Rainy Days

This jacket is comfortable enough to wear indoors like a sweater. I have had the opportunity to wear it outdoors during moderate showers and the jacket has kept my head and upper body dry. The soft material and mesh lining makes the jacket comfortable on my bare arms. The material does not feel cold and crinkly like some synthetic fabrics. I wear the jacket on cool Fall mornings and nights in Northern California where the temperatures are in the 60's. When the temperatures reach the 70's I have to take it off and tie it around my waist during my long walks. It is mid-October now and so far I have been comfortable wearing a T-shirt under the jacket.

This jacket has fairly good value. It has some nice features. Good placement of pockets. The shell offer decent weather protective elements but its not waterproof. In fact, it's rather stiff and not as soft as TNF's other jackets with Hyvent or higher end Goretex. Good for urban wear. Not very comfortable for anything requiring much mobility. There are better jackets with more value at slightly higher prices.
