Great Pants
December 05, 2010
I have worn my Impulse pants the past month during a variety of conditions: sunny, + 60*, light mist, temps in the thirty's, work outs at the gym. They have performed extremely well. They provide good warmth, yet breathe very well during aerobic activity with their unique design. They fit mid way b/w tights and traditional warm ups: good for exercise, yet presentable in public. Like them so much I ordered TNF Swift pants: identical design w/ wind and moisture resistant front panels.
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance, Ease of useStylish and comfortable running pants

I wasn't sure about these pants at first. But after getting them in the mail, they are awesome. They fit tight, but not too tight. If you don't want to show off some "bulge" then you can wear shorts over them. But I don't plan too. I bought a small since I'm a size 30 and they first me perfectly. They are meant to be kind of 'clingy' and I like that style. They keep my legs warm while I'm running in the cold weather.
Great "not-so-tights"

Some running pants are tight. Some are baggy. Neither of those things feels great to me when I am out on the trail, so I end up dealing with the cold and wearing shorts instead. Until now... The impulse pants have that perfect fit (on my form) that also sheds excess heat and removes moisture with fantastic, wicking fabric. The pockets are not bulky, so don't give that lumpy feel or appearance that does occur with some other performance pants. Like all North Face stuff, build is really good, with no stray threads or sloppy seams inside. Highly recommended!
