Great Northface Jackets
I purchased 2 of the Men Northface Khumba jackets. My son and I enjoy them so much that I am purchasing my daughter one. Northface Rocks! We really enjoy the quality and the jackets are very warm and heavy. I would love to buy more products from Altrec.

Good Jacket
Jacket fits great and is very warm. I have several other North Face products so I expected the Khumbu to be great and I was not dissapointed. The only negative is with the color, I ordered black but the jacket is more smoke than true black.

Nice weight and a nice appearance
I hope everyone has better luck with their teenage son and this coat than me. The bad news - he had one stolen, lost one, and is on his 3rd jacket - of this very same style. I guess the good thing is that others like it as well as he does. It's a good weight of a jacket - a nice option when he chooses not to wear his heavy normal winter coat. It won't be the coat he wears during an Iowa blizzard, but it will suit him fine on the days that it's 20 - 50 degrees. It protects against the wind and the black color is suitable for almost everything he pairs it with.

I brought this for my boyfriend along with The North Face: Women's Windwall 1 Jacket for myself and we both love them!!! Very comfortable and worth every penny!!! The weather has been bi-polar lately changing from hot and sunny to cold with an extreme southern Brees and this jacket has kept my boyfriend warm! Highly recommend!

Purchased in 2009, update
Bought this in late 2009 and usually wait to give reviews. This fleece is amazing and has held up to the highest expectations. It is still warm in the 40s. I can sit around in the sun with a t-shirt on and this fleece when it's in the high 30s and I am quite skinny! This jacket not only works as a great insulator but it looks really good as well.

Great Jacket worth buying
Not just for the "Name"
This jacket fits well,
true to size and is very warm for what it is, a fleece.
Bought a Large base on other reviews, 6', 145 with long arms.
My son LOVES IT and won't stop wearing it.
Definitely worth the price.
Can't speak for wearablility as only had it for a couple of weeks.

Khumbu Fleece
This is an excellent jacket that looks very sharp on my 25 year old son. The texture is extremely soft and durable. It is high quality through and through with tight stitching and smooth seams. It should serve him well for years.

Awesome Jacket at a Great Price
This is the second Khumbu we've purchased. It is a great lightweight jacket, perfect for wearing just about anywhere. My 16 year old son will actually wear this to school! I've enjoyed doing business with Atrec and highly recommend both the jacket and the company.

Warmer than you might think, which may be good
I had the North Face TKA 200 previous to this fleece. That was a 200 series, this is a 300 series. Big difference in warmth. YES!
This thing is super warm, and if you are thinking this for mild conditions, such as low 50s, it will work. But, you may get warm quickly. (Of course, this is highly dependent on your body type). That is why I brought up the TKA 200 that is discontinued (although the ECHO TKA 200 exists now). I lost the TKA 200 and was looking for a suitable replacement.
This was not the replacement I was looking for. I however, I may keep it for colder weather. In the low 40s, this rocks.
Build quality is strong. I may consider buying a NF shell in the future to zip it into. (I have owned if for approximately 1 month)

soooo much better than a sweatshirt!
We recently bought this jacket for our 13 year old son. He loves the jacket and it looks great on him. It is very comfortable and soft on the inside. We are thrilled for him to have something nicer than a sweatshirt to wear when we go out to dinner - he wants to be comfortable but not dressed up, and this jacket is perfect!

Khumba Fleece

A perfect buy
Great jacket , fits very comfortably, very snug. Keeps you warm, does its job. No complaints at all. Used it to hike around the Oregon and nothern california coast. This was all I needed.

This fleece is very comfortable, stylish and warm. The quality of the material is good and seems like it will last a long time. My only gripe is the collar is pretty big/tall. My other fleece's collar is about 2.5". This one is about 3.5". It will probably keep me warmer, it just looks a bit odd.

Heavy Duty Fleece

Nice fit!!
I purchased this jacket for my boyfriend and he loves it!! He already has a soft shell northface jacket that is several years old and was in need of a new warmer jacket, so I purchased him this fleece. It fits perfectly, not too big and not too tight! He can wear it just about everywhere (I bought it in grey). The fit and shape of it doesn't look like a fleece jacket at all (meaning frumpy). It is warm enough for him to wear on a chilly night and light weight enough for him to wear during a sunny yet breezy day. We just love this jacket!!

I saw this jacket in a store and was very excited about it, so I have ordered this one for my husband and plan on ordering for myself and daughter also. I thought the thick heavy fleece would be perfect for our early June trip to Yellowstone, since it will probably still be chilly. The toggle strings on the side will be great for keeping the wind out. It has nice sized pockets that zip closed on the outside, but also big pockets inside that will be nice for holding thing when we are hiking. I am so excited for our trip to explore Yellowstone and so glad that we will have the warmth from this great jacket.

North Face Fleece
Purchased two of the Khumbu fleece, one all black and the other two tone gray. The North Face brand is everywhere on campus and it is easy to see why it is so popular. The fleece jackets wear well, are easy to wash and dry, and are warm under coats or on its own. The fit is true to size and the jacket is well cut, very flattering. The only possible con, the cost. All in all though, this is a great buy and you'll have no buyer's remorse. Great gift for those in college, or just those who would like to stay warm...

Good durable fleece
First of all this zip fleece is constructed well. Thick material, fat zipper, wind flap and seems fairly durable. Does keep away the chill and is warm, but will not block a chilly wind. I am 6' 1" 200lbs and an XL wears a little big on me which I like. Cinches up nicely at the waist and is not cropped too short at the waistline like other fleeces.
A good wear around comfy fleece, and good wearing outside on cool days with not too much wind.

Khumbu Fleece
Great product to layer with another coat, would not recommend by itself. The Fleece did cut down on wind but could still feel a breeze through the middle of the coat where the zipper was. My kids love how soft the coat is and I enjoy the precise fit it provides off the rack.

Good jacket at a good price
Warm, stylish, priced right. Can't go wrong with NF quality. Definitely would recommend. The fit runs a little tight. I bought the XXL because I am 6'3" 225lb and any smaller would be too small for a jacket.

Wonderful jacket for the price. I wear it all the time. I usually don't like fleece, but this jackets makes an exception. Bought a large and it fits a little big. But I think a medium would have been too small.

North Face Khumbu Fleece
I had got this as a gift for my brother. ( A Small ) He complained that it fit too snug and my riposte was to run more and lose some weight. I think it is just right as far as sizes go.
I bought a size "Small" for myself and liked the quality / warmth / overall design.
I am glad I tried out the small first : fits just right. Its warm even in 40 deg weather.. although doesnt block the wind that much.
I think its a well made fleece jacket. worth the price i paid on altrec.

Good coat.
I enjoy this coat, its all I wore in the Ohio winter. It kept me warm when it wasn't windy. When it was windy it would cut threw the coat, but its not made to resist wind so I have no complaints there. I like the coat so much I bought my brother one for Christmas. I would definitely recommend this coat.

Warm Jacket
This jacket delivers on warmth. TNF's TKA 300 series fleece is soft to the touch but substantial enough to keep you warm. This is a good jacket for casual wear. I especially like the raglan sleeve construction. It feels more comfortable than a traditional shoulder. My one gripe with this jacket is the seam that runs from the shoulder to cuff on the underside of the sleeve. It tends to rub against my arm when I am wearing a short sleeve shirt underneath which, living in Southern California, I do frequently. A flatlock stitch would have been more desirable in my opinion. Still, if you are looking for affordable and stylish warmth, this jacket delivers.

Love it!!!
i am 5'11" 225 and wear a 46 sport coat and the XL fits very well, but ever so slightly on the large side (in sleeve length). I couldn't wear a large for sure and am happy with fit. It is extremely warm and comfortable and it looks very sharp. I have other North Face gear and this is up to their usual excellence. My kids both have Denali's and that's all they wear for months at at time! have only had it for 2 weeks so can't tell about durability, but i'm sure it will be fine. My son's denali is 3 years old (worn all winter) and it's held up remarkably well.

It's not terrible, but not what I would expect
...from TNF. The fleece is dense enough, as advertised—300 weight. What disappoints me is the construction. This jacket would benefit from better seams. They appear to be flat seams, but actually feel quite prominent, which I find annoying. I'm sure this would be compounded, when layered or used for backpacking. Also, it seems to run very large for the size—medium, which usually suits my 38 1/2 inch chest—resulting in a very sloppy fit. I also bought a waterproof-breathable jacket from TNF to use with this as a layering system. I am quite happy with that item, but will be returning this with plans to find a more suitable mid-layer. In summary, the high points are the warmth of the fleece and, I should add, the durable and smooth zipper; the low points being the over-sized fit and very apparent seams. I should mention, as well, that, while there are no dedicated internal pockets, the hand-warmer pockets are sewn into the jacket in such a way that it creates two additional deep pockets within. This may benefit someone, looking for extra storage options, but the comfort and fit issues, for me, outweigh the positive aspects.

This Jacket is nice addition to my other North Face jackets.It's not what I was expecting exactly from the description.But It fits well

As expected and better!
i was a little hesitant when looking at this jacket at first. I typically do not spend this much on jackets and i was worried i would end up paying for something off lesser quality with a hefty price tag.
Fortunately my worries were unfounded. This jacket fits my 5'10" 135lb self with some comfy room to spare. The material is really soft and warm and doesn't pill. It's also thicker than i expected, but in a good way. I like the color i ended up getting, and i think my favorite features are it's zip in compatibility, the fleecy backing to the zipper (i have a strong chin that would be chaffed regularly were it not present) and the overall fit and look.
Only problem i could see anyone having with it are it's obvious inability to compress and the fact that it's not so windproof. But that's why i have a weather shell and other clothes that pack better.
Great buy! Now if only i could get my girlfriend to give it back haha

Great buy and safe choice
The Khumbu was my first North Face jacket ever, and its safe to say that it was a great choice. Its very warm, but at the same time very light. It is also very soft. I wear in 30 degree weather and also 60 degree weather, making it very versatile

Son loves it
I bought this for both of my sons, and they both wear it all the time. So, if you are looking for a jacket for a teen that does not really like to wear a coat, let alone a bulcky coat, this is your coat. The material is very durable and your standard thick fleece. Not only is it warm, but light weight. The size is true to size.

A very warm & comfortable feeling jacket
Men's Khumbu Fleece Jacket - I have several North Face items and I'm very satisfied with all of them. I love this jacket. It's a very comfortable/accurate fit. It's warm & has a very soft feel. The only negative thing I can say about this particular jacket, is that I was sure that I ordered it in the "Deep Water Blue/Black" color and when it arrived, it was "Black & Silver". I would have rather had the "blue", but to try and exchange it with return shipping & all, would counter-act the good deal that I got. Still, it's a very nice jacket.

Great Purchase
Purchased this jacket for my son's birthday and he LOVES it!

Perfect for Texas
This jacket is perfect for Texas. We don't have snow but wind chill is the problem. This is sufficient even for 40F. High Quality of fleece is very obvious. Bought another color as I have been using it so often.

The Right Choice
With all the options available, I was unsure which type of jacket to buy for my husband. I obviously made a good choice, because this is the jacket he grabs for all occasions- from snow shoveling, to snow shoeing, to grocery shopping!
