This is the fourth north face fleece I have purchased as a gift for family members. They are warm, without bulk, and made very well. They also wash very nicely. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

You can always count on The North Face for quality and durability. I purchased this item to wear on cool autumn days , not as heavy as the Denali but just right. I'm 5'11 and 170lbs and the large fits well. Altrec has a very large assortment of colors to choose from. Check for even better prices on discontinued colors (I did and saved $20.00). The North Face and Altrec are both highly reccomended.

This jacket is very warm. You can wear layers or wear alone. The jacket is very comfortable and not heavy. I chose black this time because it goes with everything.

Super Comfortable Awesomeness

I'm not one to normally give in to the fads that "all the cool kids" are doing -- but a really good friend was raving about how comfortable her's was, and when I got mine in the mail, she was absolutely correct. The material is some of the most comfortable I've ever felt, and it is keeping me quite warm in this chilly fall. I bought a large at first, as I have had fleeces that don't come down past my waist, and it was too large. The medium was the just right size for me (I'm 5'11"), and Altrec did a great job of letting me return the large with minimal hassle. I'd definitely recommend this jacket if you want to feel like you're being hugged by clouds while wearing it. But expect it to take upwards of a week to arrive.

Bought jacket for son as a "wear often" jacket. Provides great warmth when needed, yet not too much heat (can still leave on inside school during the day). He had previously worn another North Face jacket for years and decided to try something different. Perfect for that all-around jacket which goes with everything (and it's price is fantastic as well)!

I'd recommend this for casual wear. Looks great and feels even better. North Face is very good in cold weather. I've started only using North Face, because of the warmth.

Perfect for Texas

This jacket is perfect for Texas. We don't have snow but wind chill is the problem. This is sufficient even for 40F. High Quality of fleece is very obvious. Bought another color as I have been using it so often. Gave a brother and sister from San Francisco and they loved it.

I bought this for my husband as a gift for his birthday (coming very soon!) and I already know that he's going to like it. He loves North Face jackets! We live in a place where it gets really cold during the Fall/Winter season and this will be very useful for him especially during those chilly early morning temperature. We love North Face! My kids has them too! Worth every penny and lasts forever : ) I will buy again soon, thanks Altrec for the great value and service that you offer.

Khumbu Fleece "At Least"

I was somewhat hesitant about purchasing this item because of the large amount of fleece jackets that are on the market that are so thin. When I received the North Face Khumbu jacket it was a dense fleece that I feel will be very warm and somewhat wind resistant. The fit was ideal for me, not too loose or too tight. I think it could be worn by its self or as a base jacket under another and that is the way that North Face designed it. It has the loops on the sleeves that let you attach it into another jacket. One thing I really liked about this jacket was the zipper protector that protects the zipper from getting caught in your clothing. Not many jackets that I have seen have this and this is a great added feature, plus acts as another barrier to the wind. This jacket was a great price for the money and will be a great addition to my other jackets. I would give this jacket a 9 out of 10 rating...nothing is perfect.

Very Nice Fleece

Very nice fleece shell. Works nice in ~55 degree weather with light wind. Is not a windproof jacket, but I did not expect it to be. Keeps me comfortably warm on the Sunday afternoon grade school football game days like today.

The Khumbu jacket fits well and is surprisingly warm for its weight. I love the way it looks and would highly recommend it for those cool days when its too warm for a heavy coat but too cold for a sweatshirt.

I bought this jacket for my husband as we are new to the northeast from Florida. The jacket looks great, fits great, and it yet another quality product from the northface. My husband prefers to wear this jacket over his larger jackets when we go out as it keeps him warm and cozy in the changing temperatures! Highly recommended!

Fits true to size. The 200 weight fleece is excellent for mild southern winters or putting under a windproof, waterproof shell for skiing.

I recently purchased the Khumbu Jacket and I have fallen in love. It is so incredibly comfortable and keeps me warm beyond my greatest hopes. I recently spent a very cold evening outside in jeans and my Khumbu. I was pleasantly surprised at how warm it kept me. I didn't even need a coat although I could easily slip one on over it which makes it even more convenient. I did get an XL though and being tall with a lean frame it is big on me. However, that does give me the opportunity to put sweatshirts on under it, but often I find that unnecessary and it is a little disappointing that it doesn't fit me perfectly. However, it is what I have come to expect. Amazing purchase though :).

Bought this fleece to use as a zip in for the NF mountain light shell. Works very well on its' own too. The Khumbu is also one of the softest fleece jackets I have encountered. Thick jacket, so it seems to do a little better than average for blocking the wind. I think North Face products are usually overpriced, but the Khumbu hits the mark.

The jacket was a birthday gift for my boyfriend. He absolutely loves it and says it is very warm. It fits true to size, as well. An XL fit him like a glove. The only problem I had was with delivery. 3-5 days ended up being 8 days.

I love this jacket. My only complaint would be the that there are no cinch cords (like the Wind wall Jacket) or elastic bands for the cuffs. I wear a XL because I'm tall, so the jacket fits perfect but the cuffs are super wide and go halfway down my hands. Other than that, this is probably the best fleece I've ever purchased. Well worth the $80.

A great jacket for both indoor and outdoor use. Not too heavy so that it is still comfortable to wear indoor but also is heavy enough to be warm enough outdoors during the milder winter days. I would definitely recommend this jacket to others.

The Right Choice

With all the options available, I was unsure which type of jacket to buy for my husband. I obviously made a good choice, because this is the jacket he grabs for all occasions- from snow shoveling, to snow shoeing, to grocery shopping! He especially likes how lightweight it is- not bulky- and allows greater freedom of movement.

I am 5'10" 180lbs and the medium fit me perfectly as I had recently tried a large size off the rack and I found it had to much room for my size. It was warm and comfortable for a cool fall evening in the back country. The zipper worked great with no hang ups and I really liked the turtle neck zip up style and the deep pockets to help keep the hands warm. It also compresses down nicely in a compression bag with other clothing for backpacking.

I bought this jacket for my 15 year old son last year and he wore it all season. He loved the jacket. I ordered another jacket and ended up returning it because he did not like it as much as the Khumbu. He likes the weight of it...not bulky but likes the amount of warmth it gives him.

Jacket is true to size. I am about 5'11 with an athletic build. The large fit me perfectly. Keeps you warm on cool fall days, but when the wind picks up it starts to penetrate through the fleece. Warmer than a hoody and for a great price!
