Description

You don't need to move to the Rocky Mountains of Montana to appreciate the warmth, dexterity and durability of these Men's Montana Gloves from The North Face. Over the past few seasons The North Face adopted a three-snowflake rating system for their cold weather clothing accessories. The Men's Montana Glove rates in the middle of their scale--not too light and not overly warm. It's the ideal sort of handwear insulation you need for the dry powder snow weather often encountered along the Rocky Mountain Range throughout winter. The Montana Glove for men features 150 g Heatseeker™ synthetic insulation along the back of the hand with lighter 100 g Heatseeker™ along the palm and finger areas for improved articulation. The North Face used rugged polyurethane along the front of the fingers and palms, but some snowboarders might prefer a glove or mitten with more reinforcement coverage. Two-ply HyVent® helps keep water outside the glove while still allowing perspiration to escape. If you need a ski or snowsport glove with a moderate balance of insulating warm and vapor transfer, The North Face Men's Montana Gloves are affordably within your reach.

I love my North Face Montana gloves and would recommend them to a friend. I have a large hand/fingers and the size large fit perfectly. I have been able to unhook my dog's leash without having to take off my gloves. These gloves provide warmth without compromising function.

Best snow gloves I've ever bought
January 06, 2011

On the pricey side but these gloves deliver. I ordered the medium and they fit perfectly- sizing seems to be straight on. Couple of cool features: there's a small drawstring inside the glove that you can pull tight around your wrists to keep both the snow and the cold out, and there are outer buckles to tighten the gloves around your wrists which makes gloves feel really snug on your hands. They're really warm too. Quality item

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance, Cons: Cost

awesome!
December 02, 2007

glove is super warm and for the price you can't beat it. I do wish it had the removable insert to dry off when done skiing but the glove is still the best i have used.

Excellent Glove
March 07, 2006

This glove is the best. It's very warm, nice and fit. It keeps your hand comfortable. Im glad that I made the right choice. For this price with it's superb quality, this is the glove that you should consider buying for any ski/snowboard activity.

Awesome gloves!

Great Glove
February 10, 2012

My husband wore these while being outside for 4 hours at a time at 40 degrees and said they were great. His hands never got cold. He also added the heat packs to the gloves and they were still as comfortable.

Pros: Build quality, Ease of use

These are warm
March 13, 2010

I had been looking for gloves for morning bike rides in temperatures less than 20 degrees. These hit the spot. My hands were warm for the whole journey. The size was perfect for me. I can recommend these gloves for any outdoor activity in low temperatures. Thanks altrec!

Great gloves
March 26, 2012

I've used these gloves for 1 week ski. They were comfortable and warm (min temperature was -5 C) and stayed dry inside (both when got a lot of snow and when the temperature was higher and I was sweating). The gloves are like new after this intensive week.

Great features on a comfortable glove
March 05, 2011

I got these gloves because they were really comfortable and fit well in the store. I've used them for about 10 days on the mountain and am very happy with them. They're very warm - but on really cold days I'd wear them with a glove liner or just go with mittens. The features I like: the goggle wipe, the draw strings are easy to pull, the leashes are useful (never have to worry about losing a glove on the lift), and I can fit my lift card into the stash pocket on the glove so I never have to worry about rubbing my jacket on the lift turnstyle sensor thing. One thing I don't like is that you can't throw them in the wash -- they're "spot clean only".

Awesome Gloves
February 11, 2006

I have had absolutely no problems with these gloves. My hands have stayed extremely warm and I have had no issues with moisture getting inside of them. The clasp cinch and drawstring work great to keep the gloves on nice and tight to keep out moisture; the two are very easy to operate with a gloved hand too. I would highly recommend these gloves.

Great value!
January 18, 2006

These gloves kept my hands warm and dry. The stash pockets are unique...I haven't used them yet, but may be handy to put a credit card or some cash. The leash is great for retaining your gloves...and they are removable if you don't use them.

Breathable and Great Gloves
March 06, 2010

Really breathable and durable. Best pair of gloves I have bought. Worth the price if you ski often.

great product; size ordered was a little to big
January 15, 2010

My husband has yet to use them since we just got them a couple of days ago. He said it's definitely a great buy quality wise but we might exchange them for a smaller size.

Even though we live in southern California, you never know when the big storm will come through and leave a wonderland just an hour away from the California shore. I bought these for my son, last time we went up to the local Mts, his hands got cold in fleece gloves after an hour of snowball, stick throwing for our springer spaniels. He really liked the gloves and went on to point out the cool features, sercet pocket, goggle frost remover, adjustable strap & sinch. They are warm with soft lining, and very felxible for making the perfect snowball. There is a storm headed our way this weekend-he will be ready with these awesome gloves from The North Face. Thank you Altrec.

Fit is everything

Gloves run small to size. The quality, warmth and technical aspects of these gloves are a big plus and I will be ordering a larger size

Overall great glove.
January 29, 2010

Very happy with these gloves. They can get a little cold below 20 degrees so use a thin liner (not included) if necessary. When it got down into the low teens I also used a hand warmer. It didn't seem to do much in the back hand zipper pocket but inside the glove it worked great. They fit well anatomically and have been pretty durable thus far.

Great gloves!

I bought them for my boyfriend and he won't take them off, literally. Plus, he loves the nose wiper on the thumbs.

A very comfortable & warm glove for sub zero temperatures. Awesome!

Great gloves for the price
January 30, 2013

I recently lost my TNF gloves that I've had for the last 4 years so I picked up a pair of these Montana gloves. My previous gloves were made with GoreTex so I was skeptical about the material of the Montana gloves being comparable but I have to say that these gloves are great and are going to replace my previous ones just fine.

These Gloves weren't warm at -4 degrees
December 10, 2009

I received these gloves yesterday and put them on this morning for my morning two mile dog walk, the temp was -4 F. My fingers got just as cold in these gloves as they did in my cheap old gloves, I even was wearing under armour glove liners. I was very disappointed and am returning them.

Great gloves!
January 10, 2010

I bought these for my boyfriend because his ski gloves had a inner liner - every time he took them off he had to fight to get the liners back in place. These do not have an inner liner. The gloves were warm enough to ski in 20 degree weather. He zipped in a hand warmer today when it was in the low teens. He says they're great.

Good Glove, fast delivery
