I bought this vest to replace an old polargaurd one I had for years. Compared to that one, this is lighter, warmer and stuffs smaller. Even looks good - hard to ask for much more. Feels true to size. I prefer vests when I'm hiking for the increased arm mobility and that I don't build up excessive heat in the shoulder area like I do with jackets. Only probelm is that now my wife wants one too ;-)

I found this the Nuptse vest to be extremely warm on dark, cold winter nights and it allowed a great deal of freedom of movement of the arms. I especially was appreciative of all the pocket room and the large one on the inside. It also stood up to a stiff,cold breeze very nicely and kept the wearer snug and warm.

I use the vest mostly for city wear. It's wonderful, soft, cozy and adjusts to a wide range of temperatures. This is my first down vest and it beats hands down any other vest I've ever had.

You really can't go wrong. My only complaint would be that the right hand pocket zipper occasionally gets caught in the material making it difficult to open and close. Other than this it's a great vest, and I would be another one if they had a better selection of colors to choose from!

I have owned Nuptse down vests for the past three years, I wouldn`t own any other vest. I wear it when I`m out fishing in early sping or hunting in late fall. I love the fact that for a vest that is so light in weight, can be so warm.

This vest is a fantastic layer for all weather types! Under a shell for warmth, wind barrier, rain barrier, or a nice spring jacket. It performs very well under all of those conditions. In addition to being practical, it is also fashionable, light, and comfortable. The materials are very nice to touch.
