These pants are great! They're especially delightful, cool and very comfortable in the warmer weather and dry fast if wet.

Only had these pants on a couple trips but so far they seem to be the perfect travel pants. Light-weight but fabric is more substantial than many other travel pants that feel too flimsy. Any wrinkles fall out rapidly when pants are hung up (or while you wear them). Quick drying also and the asphalt gray pants that I have are a perfect travel color for not showing dirt. Finally, great that they come in 34 inch inseam. Would love to find get a navy blue pair. How come no one is making navy travel pants?

Love these pants. They're especially delightful, cool and very comfortable in the warmer weather. Great golfing pants, too! Highly recommend. Worth the 55 bucks.

These pants are great! They pack flat, are light weight, and dry fast if wet. They are dressy enough to go out to dinner but yet hugged enough to take on the trail. I liked them so much I bought a pair of TNF paramount utility shorts too!

I tour on my motorcycle weeks at a time, so I have to pack smart, these are great for flopping around at the Motel or campground or for going sightseeing/eating/socializing in town after a day on the road.

My recent purchase of the North Face pants was to replace a pair that was stolen during a car
burglary - They are my very favorite pants for cool weather hiking or to just wear around town. Very comfortable fit as well as nice and lightweight.

These pants have a very good cut. The rise is not to long like so many pants of today. The security pocket works great and is convenient. The small side pockets are great for cell phones and fishing pliers. The only thing that needs to be added is a couple more belt loops. These are great pants and I hope The North Face keeps them in thier product line.

I bought one of these in asphalt grey as an alternative to the official BSA uniform trousers for Venturing. Those cost over $65.00 each and are made of cotton canvas duck cloth - lots of pockets but not a quick-dry garment.
The DWR nylon outside gives good moisture repellency for light amounts but don't throw away your raingear. It is much quicker drying than any cotton pant. The abrasion resistance appears superb second only to Cordura but with a softer nap and feel against your skin.
The tricot mesh lining enhances these trousers for a comfortable feel all day.
The lightweight nature makes this a great backpacking pant. They don't wrinkle like some nylon fabrics (e.g. windbreakers) can when folded or stuffed.
The 2 hidden zipper pockets help protect you from losing the car keys. The side utility pocket is just right for holding things but I wouldn't put anything valuable in there.

I like these pants. They are low maintenace, easy to pack, and look quite presentably, which is why I own several pair. However, I am disappointed with the last pair I bought from Altrec. The pants were missing a waistband button, something that could have easily been checked before shipping. Now I have got to go through the hassle of a return. To make things worse, there are no exchanges and I must purchase the same pants again.
