rock on north face
September 08, 2003

North faces' clothing continues to awe me. After years of purchasing cheepo khakis from Dul-Mart, I broke down and got some of these. I wear them to work and trash them, I wear them on the river kayaking and trash them. They wash-up clean and ready for action. my only complaint is that I have only one pair. Rock on north face!

Great pants
September 08, 2004

I wear these for kayaking and trail hiking and they are superb pants – sturdy, comfortable, quick drying and functional. I even wear them to work as they look great with boat shoes or loafers. I like the fact that I can go straight from work to the lake and simply unzip them into shorts for a quick evening paddle.

Most well designed convertible pant I have found.

I love these pants. Not only is the fabric a little better quality than most convertibles on the market, the pockets are deep and well thought out. There are even 2 pockets on the right side perfect for a compass and a cell phone. I also like that the Large Regular will fit my 6'2" 34waistx34inseam almost to perfection. Most fall short in the inseam. My only problem with them so far is that I wish Alrec carried Tall sizes, because Medium-Tall is actually my preferred size for these pants.

Best by far of any travel pants in OZ.

It took me ages to get these pants delivered to Australia via Seattle but was worth the wait. Best by far of any travel pants in OZ.

Great Convertible Pant
April 19, 2004

I have discovered that these are a great convertible pant, especially coming out of the winter months. When it's a borderline decision betweeen pants and shorts, you do not have to even think about it. These pants are an excellent choice on rainy days, as well. When walking around in downpours, these pants dry quick and are highly breathable on warmer outings.

Great travel pants
January 20, 2004

I recently took a trip to Costa Rica. I bought two pairs of the North Face pants for the trip. The pants performed great. The front zipper pocket kept my money clip secure, the zip off legs allowed maximium flexibility, the deep pockets allowed me to carry my camera and water bottle easily and the quick dry material allowed for easy washing in the hotel sink. These pants have quickly become my favorite piece of clothing. Thank you for such a super product.

The PERFECT hiking pants!
August 08, 2004

These pants are, quite simply, the best convertible hiking pants I have ever owned. I recently used them on an Alaskan fishing trip in the backcountry. They wore like iron and were easy to wash streamside with a little eco-friendly soap. A comforatable pair of pants with a generous cut to allow freedom of movement whether hiking, scrambling or running downstream to keep that fish on. Whatever the outdoor adventure, these are the best all purpose pants you can own.

Great Service!

Have recently placed an order for hard to find men's TALL convertable hiking pants. Arrived UPS in 2 days. Thanks for Carrying TALL items and for getting me my stuff quicker than expected using the best delivery service in the world. SAYS A LOT ABOUT YOUR STORE. Thank you Bob P.

good med weight convertable
June 02, 2004

These convertables were comfortable to wear. There were ample zip and velcro pockets for holding all my 'stuff.' I like the medium weight of the material. It is fairly breathable and dried somewhat quickly. They are a little long as bought the 'short' and it was dragging on the ground a little. I have a 30" inseam.

serve my needs purpose perfectly

Pants are light weight, and provide lots of air circulation, but due to the material, stains very easily.
