Men's Prolix Jacket 5 5 1 1
Good jacket at cool temps Since this jacket is made of very thin fabric without insulation, it is not meant for very cold temps. I bought it for its wind-breaking capabilities on bike rides, which it does quite well. I tested TNF's prolix jacket by going on a twenty-mile bike ride on a windy day with temps in the 40s. Besides my biking jersey and shorts, I only had the prolix jacket on. It was an excellant wind breaker and kept me quite warm without overheating, due to its excellent breathability. This is a great jacket for biking in spring or fall. I wouldn't use it for cross country skiing because, as I said, it's very thin. However, it makes a great jacket for temps down to at least 40 degrees if you are exercising. I'm an athletic build at 5'9" and 130 pounds, and the medium fit me quite well. It's a somewhat tight fit, which is good because it cuts down on wind resistance when biking. The only downside to the jacket is that the zipper sometimes sticks at the bottom. I don't know if this is common to all TNF prolix jackets or if it's just a flaw with mine. Good jacket overall. I'd recommend it to cyclists and runners. January 26, 2012
