Mens Sentinel Boa Trail Running Shoe
This is a great shoe. Not only because it's so light but because you can tighten or loosen the sting system by a quick turn of a button. This is INGENIOUS!!! As well as being very functional. I first saw these shoes when I vacationed in Texas. While there, I was at a car window repair shop and sitting in the lobby was a gentleman that had a pair of these shoes on. He was a veteran and had been wounded in Iraq. He said that the wounded servicemen were given these shoes when they started their rehabilitation. He demonstrated how they worked and I've wanted a pair ever since. I have M.S. so tying and untying my shoes is problematic. I hope you never completely do away with these shoes.

North Face Sentinel Boa
I own an earlier design of this shoe. I have been looking for this discontinued style and found some here. A very comfortable, lightweight shoe. I like the simplicity of the design and ease of use. I recently had knee surgery and it was very easy to put on, tighten and remove shoes as opposed to bending over for a sustained time to tie. I hope NF resurrects this great style!

Great Boa system and Great Service
North Face Boa Trail Running Shoes are just the greatest most comfortable running shoe I've ever experienced. Hands down these have the materials that make great foot care. Most of my past names have rubbed my raw in one spot or another in long distances, these do not. Try a pair and try a winner especially when purchased from an outfit like Altrec whom made the purchase process simple, fast and prompt, The price seemed steep for these shoes but balanced with the results they were a bargain.

Comfortable shoe, BOA lacing is awesome
These shoes are really comfortable and the BOA lacing system works really well. However, I thought the shoe has a really large volume in the front of the foot and the inserts that it comes with were a little flimsy. If you do get a different insert, make sure it is a low volume heel because the heel on the shoe has pads that make thicker foobeds/insoles uncomfortable. Otherwise, a pretty nice product overall.

Great Running Shoe
This is a great outdoor running shoe! The BOA lacing system works really well with the ability to make split second quick changes on the run. I hope that North Face will continue the BOA system in their future running shoes! Also, this shoe is very easy to break in with very little impact before longer runs!

Great shoes
I love boa shoes. Can't get enouh of them!
On this particular shoe, i can feel the shoe lace eyelet thing pressing on my foot. It was uncomfortable, but after i worked in the shoes a little, it went away and I no longer feel it.

These are among the best shoes I have owned
The Boa Lacing System is brilliant!
I have now purchased my second pair. They are tremendously comfortable and so easy to put on and take off.
During the day, you just give a twist or two to adjust them.
Everybody that I know that has a pair of them rants about them.
i don't know why more shoes aren't using the system.

Excellent running shoe
I in general love all North Shore products but this one definetly stands out. The fit is perfect and I love the system it uses for tightening the shoe strings with the control unit on the back of the shoe. The internal shoe components are excellent especially since I have had a foot injury for many years and have to wear a special orthodic insert. With this shoe it is not needed and I wish every shoe I owned had the technology put into this running shoe. I would be the happiest man on the earth if that was possible. In summary this is a very best pick for anyone who is a runner or stays very active!!

Great looking shoe + cool lacing system
This a solid shoe and the BOA lacing system is a great feature. I use these shoes for running/working out/folfing and they work well. They are a little pricey, but in my opinion well worth the money.

This is my second pair of North Face Boa tennis shoes. The first pair were great. This pair: terrible. The plastic eyes that the lace runs through push right in the top of my foot. Extremely uncomfortable.

easy to put on
My husband has a hard time keeping the shoelaces from coming out, and he likes the way the Boa system works. He is a size 11, and the pair I got him is comfortable, easy to put on and off, and there's no shoelace that can come undone. I'm very happy with the purchase. We've had it for just a few days so I don't know whether it'll last a long time. I've had a women's Boa for two years and it's in great condition.

Loving it so far
My first boa laced footwear is my snowboard boots. I love how the system works! when I learned that some running shoes have it, I look for the one that will suit me. I found the treksta and ordered it at altrec since it was on sale. But altrec doesn't have it, and in return they offer me a big discount on any regular priced item with a promo code 'sorry', which I end up buying the Sentinel.
Now about the Sentinel: with a metallic silver and greenish accent it is a good looking shoe, it has four loop on each side for the cable and it does looks neat. The dial on the back doesn't really affect me in anyway, it does make a sound when you tighten it, just like my snowboard boots. But I also hear a squeaky sound from the cable when I run on it a little loose. (I prefer it a little loose when jogging)
I found the insole kinda flat, so I am planning to buy something that can compensate my med high arch foot. I use this shoes everyday since I got it, mainly running on concrete and some dirt going to the gym.
Overall, I only bought this product because of the lacing system.

Cheap - in a bad way
I purchased the last version of this shoe and liked it a lot. This version seems considerably worse. The plastics are so low grade. Logos and printed on poorly. The fit is not great. Worst of all the cables squeek in the cheap plastic with each step. I'm very dissapointed. The shoe is alot much hotter and suffers from a lack of ventalation. I don't feel the quality matches the price at all.

Quality Running Shoe
I purchased these shoes this past spring and have spent 6 months using them. The fit is excellent especially with the BOA system. I have had no problems with the BOA lacing in spite of running through wet/dirty terrain. I really like the way BOA allows a highly taylored fit it's like wearing slippers. They can quickly be adjusted and never feel too tight.
The shoes are very comfortable and have adequate support for running on trails. Ventalation is good with the mesh upper. However they could use slightly more cushioning when used on asphalt/concrete. (I am 6'3 and 220lbs) This is not a deal breaker for me as I prefer trail running.
The durability of this shoe is fantastic. I have worn them running and walking almost constantly until the weather became cold. The upper has not seperated or torn in any areas. The mesh is somewhat discolored but this is to be expected given their use. The tread is showing some wear but nothing significant.
I would highly recommend this shoe.

I like this shoes very much. I don't have to tight my shoe laces any more. This shoes are very comfortable for walking and running.

Great for Long Runs!
These are great shoes! I used to wear the Arnuva Boa 50 and this shoe is the replacement. It has a new design with the same tread. Absolutely love the boa lacing system. I wore these shoes while marathon training and running in 1/2 and full marathons.
