Warm! Comfortable! Great Buy! This jacket is awesome, get one! You'll never be cold again! The hood adjustment is versatile, just like the entire jacket.
Very Nice

I live in the the Raleigh and almost every person has this jacket. It keeps everyone warm and we use it about 300 days out of the year, its great for rain (it doesn't get soaked) and wind (it keeps the wind out). It maintains itself very well, the zippers are strong and rarely break off. I love the jacket and its worth every penny.
Pros: Great design, Ease of use, Cons: Cost, Bad design, Low performanceDecember 24, 2011
Seems like a great jacket. Well made and nice color. Good fit and warm. Looking forward to using it for skiing next week. Have many other north face products and have been pleased with all.

Great Jacket

This jacket is perfect for my purposes. I purchased it in favor of a down jacket because it was less bulky and not so much of a mission to cart around. Fit - XL fits me perfectly - True to size. Warmth - great. I seldom feel cold and I walk to work in winter in MA. I don't wear under clothes beneath my work clothes, and it feels fine in temps as low as 15 degrees F. Conversely in warm conditions you don't over heat. Water protection - it's rated water resistant rather than water proof, but seems fine in the odd hard rain I've been in. Durability - Excellent! I dropped it on an escalator, where it got caught but I yanked it out just before it could really get eaten. No damage - I was impressed! Quality - well, it's North Face, it'd better be good. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars, is because the inner jacket detaches fairly easily in the sleeves on the odd occasion where I have worn an additional fleece.

High quality, heavy weight triclimate. Have been out in the teens with it; very warm. Jacket comes in heavy, twice as much as my headwall triclimate. I bought the jacket for daily use and am happy with all aspect except for 1. I like to have my gloves tucked into the cuffs; I usually do this by putting my gloves on 1st then putting the jacket on over second. Cant do this with this jacket; the inner liner comes out of the shell everytime.

Great jacket overall. Today was the first day I put it to the test. It kept me plent warm in 15 degrees Farienheit weather. Underneath I had a baselayer and a wicking North Face Flight Series merino shirt. I did not use the second jacket; I will use it to lounge around the hotel. I highly recommend this jacket.
