While The North Face makes a series of daypacks in the 1,850-cubic-inch range, the Sweeper remains our favorite for mixing business and sports pleasures. Besides the oversized stretch mesh pouch for a basketball, the Sweeper also has extra large side water bottle pockets and enough room for your gym clothes and laptop. Past incarnations included a separate clothing compartment, but this updated design takes functionality a step further with a practical universal sleeve for your personal computer or hydration bladder. You'll also find a secondary compartment with an organizer to accommodate your pens, pencils, laser pointers and corporate note pads. Keep in mind that the extra features add a few extra ounces and an inch or two of length compared to other North Face backpacks with similar carrying capacities, but if you're looking for an easy way to take your ball and go home, the Sweeper helps you keep your act together.
- Lightweight 10-oz. 100% polyester Sabre 6 fabric reinforced with sturdy 14-oz. Sabre 12 (also 100% polyester) along key abrasion areas and treated with a DWR finish
- Laminated and stitched foam backpanel design
- Lower compartment with drain holes for gym or damp clothing

This is the best and most practical pack I have owned. Great for taking stuff to day bike races or for the weekend. Highly recommend. Not a great fan of having items on my back while riding but the Sweeper is very comfortable, etc.

Just spent the week mountain biking in Moab and couldn't have asked for a better or more comfortable bag to go out on day hikes or strap on for a long day of biking. Compartments fit everything that is needed and the bottom zippered pouch is great for separating dirty shoes from everything. CamelBak bladder hook and laptop pouch are awesome. Can't ask for a better bag!!

I just returned from a trip to the Dominican Republic. This pack made an excellent carry on bag. It has large roomy storage compartments and lots of pockets. The best part was the extra zippered pouch in the bottom that was excellent for carrying wet beach clothes back to the hotel.

I can fit everything I need for an entire day on campus! The lower compartment is amazing--it can fit my workout clothes, running shoes, lab coat, or whatever without making the bag bulky or uncomfortable on my back.

I have been searching for the perfect backpack for years, and this is the closest I've come without designing one myself! I like that the waist strap is removable, because I don't usually need it, and the shoulder straps are padded and very comfortable. I carry my 15" lap top, books, running shoes, plus everything else, and it's still comfortable and not heavy on my back. I also like the way it looks, and the outside netting compartment is great for carrying extra items like a fleece or sweatshirt. The pockets for small items could be better placed for accessibility, but it's really a minor thing. I do love this pack, I'm so glad I bought it!

Very comfortable, easy to adjust, versatile, and nothing ever falls out or do zippers come undone. The back is padded, unlike many other backpacks, so it is just great! I use it as my schoolbag and it does everything i need it to.

My North Face Day Sweeper is great, just the right amount of space. My water bottles, even coffee mugs fit on the sides which was important to me when searching for my backpack. Also I love the mesh pocket in the front!
