Everything was good except for one thing.
It was smaller than I expected.
I suspected this for this price (cheap for Northface backpack)
but really I didn't expect this to be this small.
Other than that, this backpack is perfect.
Good color, very light, durable, etc.

It is not as good as I imagine. It too hard on the back, I do not feel comfortable.But it's simple and easy to us. I don't want to recommend this to my friend.

Great product for the price!
Bought this backpack for my step daughter, but when I got it I almost wanted to keep it for myself. It had great space and quality. The price was unbeatable! Would recommend this backpack to anyone looking for one.

don't like the back panel
Very basic bag, but the back is stiff around the edges like rough cardboard. Doesn't have the feminine look, and it'd be too big for children. But overall a good size bag for everyone else.

Perfect backpack
I loved this backpack. It was so well made and roomy with pockets for everything. The only con was the color, but that was my choice and didn't coincide with the wants of the teenager in question.....otherwise Perfect!

Not thrilled with this backpack
I was looking for a backpack to take to work. I did not like the hard back to it. Also, I wished there were more pockets other than the one in the front.

nice products
I bought 2 North face backpacks for my daughter and son who are 6 and 9yrs old. They love the color and the space they have to keep there school things, especially my 9yr old. Also I love the colors of the fleece jackets and they already started wearing them and feels pretty warm in them. I would definitely recommend these products to others. also love the prices for those brands.

Vault Backpack only 2 compartments
I wish the Vault backpack had the same outside side pockets for water that the Borealis backpack has, but at least the Vault doesn't have those stupid side straps and cord closure on the front that the Borealis has. I needed something smaller than the Borealis, but I didn't like the colors that the Isabella came in, also I didn't like the ridiculous names NorthFace gave to the other backpacks like 'Heckler,' 'Scatter,' or 'Jester' otherwise I would have bought one of them, what is up with their marketing department? This is a good backpack, but I don't like how firm the back part of it is and it could use at least one more smaller front zip pocket.

Very stylish!
Very stylish backpack. My son loves it!! I wish there was a second zipper part for all the extra stuff he has to bring in the winter (snow pants, boots) but it was definitely not a reason to keep this pack. It all squeezes it somehow.

A good & sturdy bag for the price. Student liked it alot!
My stepson wanted a North Face backpack for school. They are all that for the kids these days. The vault is a decent size and the price here is really good. I think he may have done a little better with a slightly larger model but this is a good sturdy bag, the price was very competitive with other sites, and overall, I am pleased with the purchase.

Perfect for daily commute
I use this bag everyday for my bike ride to and from work. Couldn't survive without it. Perfect size and shape with functional pockets and nice comfortable straps. Zippers are not indestructible unfortunately...

Great choice for college.
This book bag is sleek, simple, and great for those individuals w/ a sensitive back. The front pocket allows necessary elements such as pens, calculator, ipod, etc. to be easily accessible. It is great for college as well as high school academics. I absolutely love mine & find it easier to navigate campus w/o back pain from the textbooks. ^_^

Perfect for big notebooks!
This backpack works great for lugging around the giant binders required of my middle school daughter. As the name implies the large area is a "vault" and we like it because it's just one big compartment, not two small ones like many backpacks.

its just alright
the straps on this backpack are extremely wide and when i carry it, its tough on my shoulders and underarms. also the smaller container part of the backpack where i generally keeps my keys, wallet, phone, etc.. sits extremely high on the backpack so i cant just sling it around to get something out. its a little more difficult. but its not a bad backpack.

Worth it?
You bet. I've used LL Bean for four years. Comparing it to my Vault bag is simple. My North Face bag is more durable and less conforming than the LL Bean. It's more simple and more... me.

Lots of room
The Vault back pack is great, lots of room, for a lunch pail and sweaters and the other coverings when we ride our bikes in the winter and are over 55 years young. The straps are comfortable, the color is noticeable . I did alot of research on different packs We don't have good bike lanes and are forced to deal with what they give us. This is style and the Video is great. good thinking. Great backpack, Great price. At that price, I might buy one in each color!!

More bang for your buck!
Since the Vault is one of the cheaper north face back packs, I thought for sure it wouldn't be all that great. I was wrong! When I first got it, it didn't look that big, but when started putting my heavy college textbooks in there I realized that it held more than I thought. I am able to carry around a full course load of books and it doesn't hurt my back at all!

Good medium-sized backback
This backback fits more than you would think when it comes out of the box. For school, I can easily fit 3 textbooks and my laptop computer. The only drawbacks are that it lacks a pouch for a water bottle and a waist belt for use in skiing, etc.
