I use this bag everyday for my bike ride to and from work. Couldn't survive without it. Perfect size and shape with functional pockets and nice comfortable straps. Zippers are not indestructible unfortunately...

This backpack works great for lugging around the giant binders required of my middle school daughter. As the name implies the large area is a "vault" and we like it because it's just one big compartment, not two small ones like many backpacks.

i can easily see this bag lasting many years of work week use. one huge main compartment is all i need for a small to midsize handbag, 2nd pair of shoes, a rolled up sweater and doodads like mail, magazine, and mace (haha!) that all women seem to carry with them. the front pocket fits a TON of smaller items but i HATE carrying an overstuffed pregnant backpack so i dont fill the front compartment with too much. for travel i find the vault to be a little too small for my carry-on items and laptop. also the zippers are a little awkward - they dont move smoothly under the flap and havent loosened up after several weeks of use - but they are well-made sturdy zippers anyway. the whole construction of this bag is durable yet lightweight. oh and the price from altrec was the best!

I bougth it for my 7 years old son for second grade, it was just perfect better than I though .my son was soo happy. the color beautiful the size pefect bigger enougth for a second grader. the delivery was fast. excellent.

It is nice. Although, the zipper is hard to use unless you curl back the piece that overhangs the zipper. Otherwise I like it a lot

Bought this one because my 11 year old's North Face pack is now on its 3rd school year without showing much wear at all. Now that is a great value! This pack is well made and has more than enough space for my younger son's first year in school.

I bought 2 North face backpacks for my daughter and son who are 6 and 9yrs old. They love the color and the space they have to keep there school things, especially my 9yr old. Also I love the colors of the fleece jackets and they already started wearing them and feels pretty warm in them. I would definitely recommend these products to others. also love the prices for those brands.

I got this for my daughter for her birthday for school. She loves it! It holds all her school supplies perfectly and is the exact color she wanted. Lots of kids of all ages and adults would love this backpack.

I love my Vault backpack. I carry it everytime I travel. I use it as my personal carry-on item on airplanes and it fits nicely under the seat in front of me. I carry my ipad, camera, magazines, large bottle of water, and an extra pair of shoes. It has one smaller zip pocket and one larger zip pocket. I put my wallet in the smaller one and there is even space for pens, so I can always have one handy for filling out custom forms. It's very roomy and I like that because when returning from my trip, it can carry all of my souvenirs. My last trip I had 8 t-shirts that I was able to fit nicely in the larger zipper compartment. In addition, I used it in the rain and my items inside didn't get wet! Highly recommend!!!

Everything was good except for one thing. It was smaller than I expected. I suspected this for this price (cheap for Northface backpack) but really I didn't expect this to be this small. Other than that, this backpack is perfect. Good color, very light, durable, etc.

Very stylish backpack. My son loves it!! I wish there was a second zipper part for all the extra stuff he has to bring in the winter (snow pants, boots) but it was definitely not a reason to keep this pack. It all squeezes it somehow.

It is not as good as I imagine. It too hard on the back, I do not feel comfortable.But it's simple and easy to us. I don't want to recommend this to my friend.

I wish the Vault backpack had the same outside side pockets for water that the Borealis backpack has, but at least the Vault doesn't have those stupid side straps and cord closure on the front that the Borealis has. I needed something smaller than the Borealis, but I didn't like the colors that the Isabella came in, also I didn't like the ridiculous names NorthFace gave to the other backpacks like 'Heckler,' 'Scatter,' or 'Jester' otherwise I would have bought one of them, what is up with their marketing department? This is a good backpack, but I don't like how firm the back part of it is and it could use at least one more smaller front zip pocket.

You bet. I've used LL Bean for four years. Comparing it to my Vault bag is simple. My North Face bag is more durable and less conforming than the LL Bean. It's more simple and more... me.

My stepson wanted a North Face backpack for school. They are all that for the kids these days. The vault is a decent size and the price here is really good. I think he may have done a little better with a slightly larger model but this is a good sturdy bag, the price was very competitive with other sites, and overall, I am pleased with the purchase.

I was pleasantly surprised when my daughter's North Face Vault Backpack-25802 arrived. I thought it would be plain and too small for a high school student. Just the opposite, it expands and is roomy and the color (black) is actually sharp. My daughter has hooked this up with a multi-colored polka large binder and lunch bag. I loved this backpack. It was so well made and roomy with pockets for everything. The only con was the color, but that was my choice and didn't coincide with the wants of the teenager in question.....otherwise Perfect!

this backpack is so cute and so reliable i just love it when i was in my first 2 yrs of middle school i had an L.L bean and the zipper always got stuck on the fabric that covered the zipper and the bottom kept busting out then i got this and i never had a problem i love it

Very basic bag, but the back is stiff around the edges like rough cardboard. Doesn't have the feminine look, and it'd be too big for children. But overall a good size bag for everyone else.

the straps on this backpack are extremely wide and when i carry it, its tough on my shoulders and underarms. also the smaller container part of the backpack where i generally keeps my keys, wallet, phone, etc.. sits extremely high on the backpack so i cant just sling it around to get something out. its a little more difficult. but its not a bad backpack.

My husband wanted a bagpack for hiking.. This looks like a great bag.. with great capacity. My husband seems very delighted on receiving this! The only reason i marked it as 4 star is because of the back-padding.. This makes this bag a little heavier.. Otherwise its great and spacious and I would totally recommend it.

This book bag is sleek, simple, and great for those individuals w/ a sensitive back. The front pocket allows necessary elements such as pens, calculator, ipod, etc. to be easily accessible. It is great for college as well as high school academics. I absolutely love mine & find it easier to navigate campus w/o back pain from the textbooks. ^_^
