Fit Tip: I generally wear a small in most North Face products and an xsmall fit me perfectly in this jacket with room to still layer underneath. The arms hit right at the wrists and the hem of the jacket hits at my belt line. Unless you are very tall I would suggest going down a size.

First, the basics - It's a nice, toasty coat with great materials and the fit is perfect. All things you'd expect from North Face.
I bought this for my wife based on the styling and color (light blue). The asymmetrical quilting pattern I'm sure has a functional purpose, it's really unique in that she doesn't look like the Michelin Man and it's not the tired diamond pattern. This is something that will look great on the slopes or out on the town. It's light weight make it great for just shopping.

This coat is perfect for the climate in Colorado! Keeps you warm, but isn't bulky at all. The size seems consistent with what I normally am. A great product and highly recommended!

I love the jacket! Even though I read reviews saying it was generous in size, I ordered a size medium (which I normally wear) and it fit perfectly. The sleeve length is perfect and the black color is beautiful. It is very comfortable and very warm but not bulky at all. I would definitely recommend this jacket.

Jacket is true to size, warm and has a great shiny finish on the exterior. Not recommended for temps below 40. An overall great jacket for cool weather though.

about 5 feet; 117 pounds. The small fits great for my figure type. However, I hope it will not shrink much because it will be too tight. I usually vary between a small and medium. Taller and larger chested women should take a medium. Hope this helps.

the "fit tip" on this jacket is right!!! i read the review by "marlen," which says this jacket is true to size. this is wrong!! i'm normally a small, 5'5", 130 lbs, so I ordered a small in this jacket, and it was TOO BIG! I had to return the small and order the x-small. but the style of this jacket is great!

I adore this coat. I have a toddler and am often carrying a heavy load so I wanted a jacket that was warm, but not bulky. This one fit the bill. The only issue I have is that the sleeves are a little short for my long arms. I wish it came in a tall size.

Although, I am very petite: 4'9" tall, 110 pounds, a small fits snugly without layering. So, I also ordered a medium that I can layer for colder days. For someone over 100 pounds, and trim, not real thin;
I would say that this jacket runs true to size, even a little on the small side. If
you want to layer it; buy the medium also.

Warm but not bulky. Light and packs easy for trips. Cut with room enough for layering. Great wind barrier. I bought the purple and it is a beautiful deep, royal purple. My only "criticism" would be that the cut could be more slimming. I call this a "criticism" because if the cut were slimmer then it may make it more difficult to layer for warmth. Great jacket.

I was looking for a great down jacket that wasn't bulky and too puffy. This jacket is lightweight, warm, and really cute too! I did not order down a size (I'm pretty short) and the small fits fine, sleeves are a good length, and room to layer underneath.

This is a great jacket. It is warm without being really bulky. Because it is not real bulky it does not feel too warm in mild temperatures. This makes it very comfortable for every day use going in and out of places.

I love the fit of this coat. Its slimming but i can still layer underneath it. The black style goes great with my office outfits and my jeans and sweaters. The collar is incredibly soft and the sleeves are just the right snugness at the cuff. I have received the most compliments ever on a single item of clothing.... I highly recomend this style. North face quality proves itself again.

I love the way this jacket looks and feels. Nice fitting, beautiful fabric, quilt pattern and soft sheen to fabric. Very luxurious and comfy. Warm enough even when worn with only a silk charmeuse blouse underneath. I get so many compliments. Like the pockets and nice lining on collar.

I love the look of the jacket, but the sizing is a little off for me. I usually wear a size 2-4 and I ordered an extra small. The sleeves and overall length could be a little longer. I had previously tried on a small, but the shoulder area was too roomy and bulky compared to the rest of the body of the coat.

I love the jacket....it is very, very warm. I don't love the color so much....it is more lime green hue than golden so I'm not sure if people are staring because they like it or because the color is garrish...at any rate, I get some stares when I wear it!! The fit is good, but the arms are a tiny bit short for me. I still love to wear it!!

I really like this jacket. It stands up to a Chicago windchill factor, yet doesn't weigh you down. I wish it were a bit more sculpted however.

Loved the Jacket it was really warm and comfortable. I got the Jacket in white though and accidently dropped something on it. I followed the washing instructions on the Jacket. The Stain came out but, the Jacket Shrunk and I had to return it. Be careful when washing!

The North Face: Women's Aconcagua Jacket is very warm and easy to move around in. I wish it were a little more tailored at the waist to take a little bit of the puffiness out, but that is really not that big of a deal. I like that it can be dressed up a little, worn casual or on the slopes. I've gotten several compliments on the jacket. :)

The fit to the jacket is somewhat boxy -- almost cut more for a man than a woman. Also, the plum color was more rose than violet. Pretty but not my color.
