Love, love, love!
I had been looking for a jacket to fill in the gap between a VERY warm seam-sealed down bomber jacket I bought last year and my much lighter PrimaLoft jacket. I had been thinking about the Aconcagua jacket for a while, but was convinced that it wasn't expensive enough to be a really "good" down jacket (think higher down count). I finally broke down and bought it based on it's appearance, anyway, and I couldn't be happier! Yes, it is beautiful, but it is also versatile and warm. I can wear it comfortably in temperatures ranging between the low twenties and mid-forties, and it does a good job blocking the wicked Chicago wind (unlike my previous Nuptse jacket). As others have reported, the fabric was a tiny bit stiff at first, but it softened up within a week, and it runs a but small: I am 5'4", 110 lbs., and returned the size Small for a Medium. BTW, both jackets arrived within 2-3 days of ordering, and the return was hassle free.
Bottom line: a great jacket at a great price, and great service from Altrec.

Great
I love this jacket!! it is very warm and stylish I love the way it fits and the price is great!! I would recomend this to anyone. I wish the prices were alittle cheaper and there were better deals on the clearence.

north face coat
the jacket is ok i thought it would have been thicker then it look's online .the jacket keep her warm as long as she were something under it .i still would like to another for my other daughter i would just have to buy a sweater to put under it THANKS YOU

See it in your size; get it!
Very warm, not as puffy as other down jackets and very stylish. I ordered a small but it was a little tight around the arms. I am between a small and medium; 5’2 145 pounds. Wish I had acted on it sooner when the medium was available.

Love it
I love my new purple jacket! It is very warm. I was a little concerned because it was sealed and shipped and so it wasnt very fluffy when it first arrived but after a few wears and an air fluff in the dryer it is now very puffy. The fit is nice and I get compliments on it all the time!
I definitely recommend this jacket to anyone who wants a warm and stylish jacket! I love north face product and will continue to buy from Altrec

good down jacket at good price
I bought couple " Aconcagua vests" last year and love the products. This year this new color "Butter Brown" and she asked me to purchase for her. All of my family love the products from "The north Face" good quality and good value. We are going to shop more "900 fill" vest if the size and color avalible.

Perfect fit, great coat. I ordered for the first time from Altrec and it showed up on time and was accurately packaged. I will order from Altrec again, however I'm not sure I will review not products for them since they don't tell me how many words my review must be, yet somehow my text within this box is "too short" - so hopefully this solves it. Perfect for Seattle winter
This jacket is the perfect weight for my daughters trek to and from school. It will stand up well in an everyday use in the typical Seattle winter weather. I like the dark blue color- nice variation from the typical black.

Great Coat for Chicago winters
I bought this coat for my wife for a Christmas gift. She had been wanting it for a while because of its style and great reviews. Altrec ships extremly quick and she was able to take advantage of wearing it when it staretd to get cold here.
Great quality and warmth, exactly why I keep buying Northface gear. It isn't the cheapest, but you get what you pay for and the Northface brand is very durable and worth the money.
She is 5'9" with an athletic build, so I ordered her a Medium at her request this time. She normally wears a large in coats for the extra arm length like I do, but she wanted to make sure that it would fit more uniform.
The medium fits snug and well around the body where it doesn't bunch up to let cold air in. So it was the right call going with this size.
Can't go wrong with this jacket. She is extremely happy and set for the winter.

GREAT JACKET
i love it,,very warm and stylish.i love the purple color but the black will go with my black northface boots.If you buy this jacket you would be very satisfied.Plan to buy more jackets off the wesite,this is my 4th item i purchased and was very satisfied.

Too Stiff
Although I like the Turquoise color and sizing and the warmth of this jacket, the outer fabric is just too stiff for me. I am sending it back. It is like a satin finish. Too bad.....as otherwise excellent.

Love this Jacket!
Warmth, without all the bulk.
Bought this jacket as an extra layer for a backpacking trip, but it is so nice, I am going to save it for everday use!
I am 5'9" and I am very happy with the length of the sleeves and torso.

This jacket is very warm. A good alternative for spring fall in MN. It is a little bit stiff when you first put it on. My daughters jacket that is the same brand is a slightly different color and is softer.

North Face does it right
I bought the Aconcagua jacket for my wife as a surprise. She doesn't know much about down jackets, so I took it upon myself to investigate and couldn't be happier. I was very impressed with the quality when we received it. It was made very well, and this just reinforced to me that TNF is as good as it gets. You can wear the Aconcagua women's jacket for almost any occasion and look great. It has a feminine fit that looks right for your lady too. This is not a trail jacket, but the perfect one for your every day lifestyle. We have washed it once because I got her the moonlight color, and it held up well and no changes. A jacket you'll love to wear
This is a beautiful and stylish down jacket. Well designed and well made. I am 5"7, weigh 140 pounds and the medium fits me well with room for a sweater. Finally a coat with arms long enough. The pockets are roomy, lay flat and the zippers are high quality! The color is a deep plum burgandy with a shiny satin finish that makes it dresser than most down jackets. The shipping was excellent, arrived in 2 days and the coat was exactly as described. I would highly recommend both the jacket and Altrec.

Love this coat!
This is an awesome coat, I really debated over spending $150 for a coat but it was worth every penny. I live in Cleveland OH and it gets cold. I wanted a warm coat without it being very bulky. This was the perfect match. It is super warm and not puffy at all. I would say it is a fitted coat, so you may want to order one size larger than you normally would. I would have ordered a SM based on my normal size but am glad I got the M. You will not regret this purchase!

Great Purchase
The fit is perfect -- it's not too big and it's not too small. You can still fit a light sweater or sweatshirt underneath. It is very warm and stylish.

Love the jacket. Usually Northface items tend to run small however the sizing on this jackets seems to run a little larger. Usually I am a small but have to order Medium in Northface ... I could have stuck to the small on this jacket as the medium is very roomy!

Great winter staple!
I bought this jacket for me daughter and find myself stealing it from her! This is a very sleek and warm jacket! Perfect for traveling, as it is very light. My daughter is 11 and is around 5 ft. This jacket is a great fit for her...very true to most North Face sizes. You will not be sorry for ordering this jacket!

best coat ever
this coat is the best winter coat i have ever purchased. it may have been pricey but it was definitey worth the buy. i love this coat. my favorite thing is the softness of the pockets and neckline. overall this north face coat is very warm and comfortable. i would reccomend this to anyone who is looking for a stylish coat that is great for the cold weather. the only thing that i wish could be changed is the length. i am 5"7' and skinny so the small fits perfectly except i would prefer it to be a little longer. other than this, the coat was just what i was looking for and is perfect for any ocassion. i love it and am so happy to have found it when i did!

Great jacket for cold temps
I bought this jacket for my mother as a Christmas gift. She is tall (5'9") and slender. The large fit great in terms of length and even seems to be slightly tailored in the body. My mother loves the way that it fits and tells me it has been quite warm when layered with a sweater....ever in west central pa where temps have already hit single digits this winter. Another great TNF product!

Nice jacket, disappointing color
The jacket seemed warm and fit well. However, I ordered the retro pink and it was borderline red to me, so I returned it. Is also wasn't very long in the back.

Great jacket but hard to find

Love it!
This coat is so cute and very warm for our Wisconsin winters. I've gotten a lot of compliments on the retro pink color as well. I was afraid that it would be to bright but it's a nice cross between red and pink without being to loud. As always The Northface quality is supurb. Thinking about getting it in additional colors I love it so much.

solid purchase
I got this for my wife and she was thrilled by how soft, how warm, and the "fitted" cut and stitching were plusses, too. It fits a little on the small side, so careful with a sweater underneath. Also, the retro pink is almost orange-y, definitely not your typical powder-puff color, but it looks great.

Great Colors
My 14 yr old daughter loves the color combination of this jacket - graphite on the exterior with a bright pinkish red lining. You are able to accessorize with pink or red (scarves, hats etc.) because of the versatility of the color. It's also a lot easier to keep clean than her white North Face. The jacket fits well and is plenty warm.

So this is the third time I've bought this coat...because I love, love, love it!
I had one, then my teenage daughter borrowed it once and then again and you get the picture, so then I got her one...then, of course, her sister had to have one too.

My friend has this jacket and I immediately wanted it when I saw it on her. It is of excellent quality, as well as very good looking. It's warm, but not too bulky. I do wish it were a little longer, though...it hits right at my waist, and I wish it were more hip length.

Great for the money

Very Versitile

Best Winter Coat Ever
Every time I wear this coat, I get compliments on it! It is gorgeous! It is the warmest winter coat I have ever purchased, but it is not bulky. I bought the white jacket, so obviously it tends to get dirty. However, it washes clean every time and the durability of the coat has more than held up. Some of the Women's North Face products tend to run short in the torso, but this jacket fits very well. I am about 5'4" and purchased a medium, and it fits perfectly! If you are looking for a great gift for your wife or teenage daughter, this is it.

LOVE this coat
Very warm coat, sporty and stylish. I normally wear a small in North Face fleece jackets, but got this in a medium and I'm glad I did. It's the perfect size to wear a sweater under. I'm about 5'6" and 120 and the medium is just right. I would definitely recommend this coat. I love the silvery gray color for something a little different than most of my standard black coats.

Great warm jacket and not too bulky!
Love this jacket. We live in Alaska so it can get windy and cold. This jacket keeps me nice and toasty on even on the coldest days without bulky.

Great jacket!
This jacket is the perfect combination of style and warmth. I was so lucky to grab the last black one in my size! I have read a lot of reviews with various sizing comments so I'll add mine. I am 5'3 130 and usually wear ladies size 6. The medium fits great with room to layer.

too small
loved the color of this jacket but it was just too small. I'm only 5'6 and it hit too high for my comfort. Also the arms could have been an inch or two longer. sadly it's going back...the search continues.

Great Purchase!
I needed a new jacket for our Chicago winters and decided on this one after researching several North Face. This is an attractive, yet warm jacket. I have a petite frame (5'2"), so I can't wear big, bulky jackets. It fits true to size, the small fits me perfectly. I love that I still look like I have a shape in it! I also ordered a North Face hat to match. This is the second jacket I have ordered from Altrec and I've recommended them to my friends.

I am very satisfied with my new jacket
I love my jacket. I shopped late in the season and stores were out of my size in black. Wore it hiking and it was toasty warm. It runs true to the size measurements listed. I am small in the shoulders and not so small in the hips. I ordered a medium but had concern as I was at the far end in hip measurement. I could have never worn a large in the shoulders. Could use a bit more hip room but am satisfied with the fit.

I love this jacket!
I love the length and warmth of this jacket. Its light but keeps me very warm in cold Massachusetts winter temps. I think I could have gone with a small but ordered a medium. Even so the fit is okay. (I have the aconcagua vest in a med which fits nicely). I would definitely recommend this jacket. I have the Brown and have gotten many compliments on it.
