Love the boots!

I am very pleased with my purchase! They are very warm & even comfortable enough to wear around the house. I purchased the Demitasse Brown/ Mini-Houndstooth/ Demitasse Brown and couldn't be happier with the fabric and design. I normally wear a size 7-71/2 and I ordered an 8. They run a little small, but a 9 would have been to big.

TNF Amore vs. Nuptse boot

Purchased a TNF Nuptse boot for my mother two winters ago. She loved the boot and the compliments she received. Her only complaint was that they got a little heavy when wet. The older Nuptse boot had a non-DWR cloth shell. I'm hoping she won't have that problem with the Amore boot because it comes with a DWR ripstop shell. I see that the Nuptse boot has been updated with the ripstop shell also.

I searched high and low for a boot that could stand up to walking around in snow when it's 9-20 F in Telluride, Co and the occasional snow we get in Dallas. Also important that it was waterproof and of course stylish! I just received them in mail so haven't tried out the functionality yet (a 2nd review will come later) but I can tell you about size. More than 1/2 of the reviews I've seen on other sites say this shoe runs a size larger. I'm a size 8 (normal width foot) so ordered two pair: one in size 9 and one in size 8. And the winner is....size 8!! It's true to size! The size 9 was HUGE and the size 8 was just right. It might have been tight in the toe if I was wearing 2-3 pairs of thick socks but I'm not planning on wearing that. Normal socks are comfortable in this boot. And it looks great with skinny jeans!
