A lightweight stretch fleece top, The North Face Aurora Zip Neck Fleece for women is ideal for a wide range of high-aerobic outdoor activities. A warm layer of Malden Polartec® 100 Series micro-fleece is placed along the front and back panels provide excellent thermal performance, while Polartec® Power Stretch® side panels enhance your freedom of movement. The entire garment is stitched together with durable flat locked seams that eliminate bulk while preventing chafing. Wear it alone or as a layer under a breathable, waterproof shell.

This top runs a little small but is very form fitting so if you like a looser fit order a size larger than normal. Other than that my daughter loves the color and has excellent venting properties during her daily workouts. She also likes it as a casual shirt with her North Face mossbud pants and coat. Overall she was very pleased with its' versatility.

When I received this item, I thought an error had occurred and that I had been sent a child-sized fleece rather than an adult XS. I purchased this for my daughter (5'1" and 90 lbs.) who wears XS in Patagonia, Gap, BCBG, Ralph Lauren, etc., as well as other North Face apparel. Additionally, I checked the 'size chart' on the website and chose accordingly. This outerwear would not even extend to her waist, and the sleeves would reach her knees! Now, of course, the item is 'sold out' and can't be reordered. I am very disappointed....

I tossed this top on right from the bag as I left for a yoga retreat at the Oregon coast. My first impression was that it was a bit smaller than most tops of its kind, but the arms and torso were a perfect length and it is more flattering to the feminine figure than larger tops. The coast weather is temperamental but top was perfect - light enough to wear while exercising yet warm enough to keep me snuggly. The best part was that I could do poses on the beach and roll around in the damp sand with my dog and the sand just fell off. That doesn't happen with other fleece and wet sand. Definitely a bonus.

I recently ordered a replacement fleece after wearing my previous North Face for 5+ years. This fleece is lightweight, comfortable and I plan on ordering a few more in different colors eventually! You will not be disappointed. I am a 4-6 and ordered a medium. It is comfortable but the arms are slightly long.

I read the other reviews and ordered a size up. Was very happy that I did that-it fits perfectly. This is a nice lightweight fleece. I like to layer a shirt underneath it for added warmth on a cold day. The fleece is very soft. It looks great!

I would recommend getting a size bigger. It is warm and soft. I just wish it was a little longer in the front, and wish it had pockets, but overall it is a great fleece.

I bought two of these when they were on sale earlier and I am so glad. I think they run a little small. I returned the first two I bought and exchanged for a size bigger and I am very happy. They are soft, and have a deeper zipper in the front than the other North Face fleeces, which I really like. They are shorter in the waist than what I am used to (which could be why I went a size up) but the arms are nice and long and roomy. They work great under another layer or on their own. The only downer about these fleeces is that there are no pockets.

It is extremely light weight, well made and would be great for travel. I think it runs a bit small or should I say form fitting. Also if you are long waisted it will definately be too short.

i've has the aurora for a long time and it was a warm mid layer. i had it climbing Kinabalu in Malaysia w/Mountain Hardwear Gore-Tex Parka.....perfecto! kept me warm (it was raining hard) and dry up fast when i wash it in the hotel (so that i could use it again the next day)

I purchased this for layering for a trip to Alaska. It fits well, however a bit small. I had to return the small for a medium. The fabric is so soft and thin but yet very warm. Seems like a perfect piece for layering under a rain jacket or warmer winter jacket.

This is a good light weight fleece top with nice long sleeves. I took it treking in Patagonia and it was a good addition to my wardrobe.

Bought this and the El Cap shirt for women for my girlfriend. They worked like a charm as layers during a couple of day hikes in the Shenandoahs and she never complained of being cold or too hot. The top is soft and fits her well.. and it appears to wick and breathe very well. Thanks.. another keeper for our New Zealand trip!

This jacket / shirt is absolutely wonderful! I bought one, fell in love with it after wearing it once and came back and bought two more for myself and one for my sister for Christmas! I would recommend washing it before you wear it ... I think the black sides rubbed off a little bit of coloring on the arms the first time I wore it, but it came off in the wash (I only noticed it with the blue, not red)! I can't get enough of wearing mine though whether it be outside running or at the office ... it is great!

i'm giving only 4 stars because it is shorter than i expected. i'm not tall (5'6'') but i feel it is much shorter than my other tops. so for people taller than me, it may not be a good choice

The Aurora is a nice looking fleece, but very lightweight. It can be used for an extra layer in cold climates. If you are looking for warmth go for the Denali instead. This one is very lightweight and would be nice under the Denali.
