Great Product
I am very pleased with these boots. They are comfortable and warm - just what I was looking for! I ordered a 1/2 larger to accommodate thermal socks and find I could have order my regular size. Not a problem - I have room to tuck in my pant legs and still be comfortable.

Bella Alta Snow Boot
This is my second pair in a different color. I purchased several good (some considerably more expensive) winter boots for snow seasons. This Bell Alta boot (North Face) is the bargain of the lot and an excellent boot in construction, and with pants or even under long skirts! They are so warm, good in snow, and I've found very secure, on icy surfaces. I trust this boot, and they are waterproof. I find myself grabbing this boot over the others & both a second pair. I will get one more! This boot will take me into the next life I think.

Worth the money
I bought these boots after a couple of early snow storms. Of course, now that I have them it's stopped snowing! So I have yet to wear them in the snow. But so far from what I can tell, these are good sturdy boots. The only thing I didn't like it that when I took them out of the box, I noticed some minor scratches on both of the boots. Not enough to warrant a return, just kind of an annoying realization. But even so, I think these boots will be quite adequate for another Colorado winter!

Great Northface Boots
Bought these boots for my daughter who is at a university in Maryland. They have had a good deal of snow already this winter and she is LOVING these boots. Easy to put on and take off, very warm and comfortable, and waterproof. Would highly recommend them!

great winter boots!
Great winter boots for Midwest winters. Have walked miles in the snow and puddles, and stayed warm and dry. Not as stylish as I was hoping, but makes up for it in comfort and ease. The "locking" zipper doesn't always want to stay up, but that may just be operator error. ;) These boots are so super comfortable and easy to slip on and off when you are full of snow and coming in from the cold. They are true to fit with plently of room to wear thicker socks and wiggle your toes around. Definetly reccomend.

Stylish and functional
Purchased these boots in brown and am extremely satisfied with their quality and style. The tread is great, the fit is just right, and love the back zipper. I would highly recommend these boots...worth every penny!

I live in the Boston area and I bought these boots because my toes always get cold when I'm out walking the dog. I wanted something that was easy to put on and would provide warmth and good traction for field/trail walking in snowy, cold conditions and these boots did not disappoint! Super warm and cozy yet very breathable and lightweight. The zipper back makes getting these on and off a breeze! As others commented, they run very true to size and are quite comfortable with a mid-weight sock. Best part of all, they are also extremely comfy without socks! I wore a thin pair one day that kept slipping below my arch and I finally just had to remove the socks. Boots were perfectly comfy without them although a bit roomy. My only disappointment so far was they didn't seem completely waterproof. I was trekking through very slushy, watery conditions (for about an hour) during warm temps following a big snowstorm and eventually, the suede surface seemed to take up some water. I have not yet sprayed these boots to add a little extra waterproof protection which would have probably been a good idea. Nonetheless, I absolutely love them and would buy them again - maybe just stick to snowy conditions and not trekking through water puddles!

Worth the money!
These boots are very nice! The fit was true to size, no issues at all; very lightweight. The sole doesn't make my toes curl up like many other boots do. So this makes them very walkable. Between the light weight, warmth, and this "natural fit sole", the boots are very, very comfortable for long term wear in the cold/snow. I agree with the other reviewers; the back zipper makes them slightly tricky to get into and you should only wear them with a decent pair of socks (a bad pair would be, for instance, nylon stockings, so for the office, just put a pair of white socks over the stockings and leave them in the boots all day). Then once your foot is in and they're zipped up, you won't even know there's a zipper there. I just put my finger over the bottom of the zipper when sliding my foot in and it's no problem. For a twice a day commute, or to go out and walk or play for hours in the snow and cold, the zipper won't bother you at all. A small distraction when you consider everything else this boot has to offer over others on the market. They're very cute, too...!

No more cold feet!
I bought these boots for a ski trip to Colorado. I don't have a lot of cold weather gear, as I'm a Southern girl, but these boots looked adorable on the site, so I grabbed them. They are SO comfortable and warm! I walked around in the snow for five days in these boots, and never had cold feet for a minute. They fit well, are easy to get on and off, plus they look great! I'm a size 9 shoe, and these fit me perfectly with socks of medium thickness. The boots give a little, too, so you can wear heavy socks and still fit comfortably into them. They weren't inexpensive, but they are worth the money and will last a long time. Great purchase!

Love Them
Bought these for my wife. Here's her comments. I read the reviews and ordered a 1/2 size larger. They fit perfectly. We just had 14 inches of snow yesterday (Ski Virginia Beach) and my feet never got cold on a two hour walk. I was concerned because the boots felt stiff when I first put them on, but they were comfortable from the get-go. The back zipper eliminates any struggle when putting them on and taking them off. I would definitely recommend them.

Great boot...practional and looks good!
I debated between this boot and another uber popular brand, and so glad I went with this one. It is warm, easy to get on/off, and keeps your feet dry, even in heavy midwest snows. It's not great in the arch support department, but I put an insert in and it makes it very comfortable. (I have plantar fasciitis so have done this with boots before.) The boot seems to run true to size, but I ordered up a 1/2 size to accomodate the insert. The boots look great, too!

Great Boots!
I LOVE these boots. After we had snow for Thanksgiving this year, I knew that I needed some good waterproof boots. The North Face boots are comfortable, look good, are warm, and waterproof. Now I can walk even when it's raining hard and not come home with soaked shoes and socks.

Awesome boot!
I ordered these boots online prior to my trip to Colorado in Feb., and they did not disappoint! They arrived super-fast, and were exactly as described. I snow shoed and rode snowmobiles in these boots, and my socks and feet stayed perfectly dry & warm. I LOVED the back zipper...taking the boots off and on was a breeze! The sizes run true to your usual size. I would definitely order these boots again!

Materials too hard and stiff
The description sounded great, and the boot would be if the main material had not been a very stiff plastic. Because the top is very wide, the hard plastic bangs by leg each time I walk. Presumably the plastic is supposed to make them waterproof, but there must be softer materials that could serve the same purpose. I was very disappointed and sent them back.

Great boot!
These are great boots. I like most that they are not as big and clunky as many other snow boots out there. I live in Chicago and between my daily commute and my dog I pretty much wear boots every time I leave the house. I generally order a half size up with boots, I want to wear a thicker sock and that worked out perfectly. I also like that you can truly slip these on instead of wrestling your foot into them.

comfy, warm and smart looking.
Some snow boots are so bulky, thats it's difficult to get your pants over them or into them but these are just right and look perfect with jeans or darker, dressier pants.

Comfortable boots
I had to buy a half number bigger than my usual size because they were tight in the front. They are very comfortable and light. The most important feature for me was the insulation, so far so good. They keep my feet warm, I use them in the house sometimes.:) I don't find them very fashionable though.

Exactly what I expected

Great for cold snowy weather
I wore these boots for 5 days straight while on a ski holiday and my feet were always warm and comfortable. All of my jeans fit over them as well.

Bella Alta Boots
My daughter loved this boot. Not only can you wear them with your snowpants, but they go great with jeans too. They tend to not feel as snug because they don't lace up, but they are warm and don't hurt the feet. I would recommend these boots to anyone who likes fashion and function.

Warm & Comfy
Excellent choice for ski instructor working in snow all day! Easy out to change to ski boots. Some minor leaking at welt front of toes but curable with nikiwax. Absolutely no leaking from upper in extremely heavy and harsh rain. Very warm and very, very comfortable.
