Description

Like wearing jeans in the backcountry, The North Face Women's Freedom LRBC Insulated Pants are a traditional pant with a feminine, low-rise cut that wears like regular jeans, but is packed with cold weather performance features, so you won't chill out. Fashioned in waterproof, breathable HyVent® 2-layer fabric that is lined with easy layering embossed taffeta, these full seam sealed snow pants lock out moisture and seal in heat. Heatseeker ECO insulation keeps your legs toasty throughout a bitter cold front, while Chimney Venting™ expels excess moisture and heat by opening the thigh side vents backed with mesh gussets to increase airflow for a dry and comfortable feel. Articulated knees give the Freedom Pant its good name, as a pant-a-lock compatible system hooks up with a TNF jacket for a tight one piece weather seal. Sealed and protected at the bottom with a StretchVent™ gaiter with gripper elastic and reinforced cuff, you can count on these toasty ski pants on super cold days season after season. Detailed with handwarmer zip pockets and cargo pockets to go, you'll always be prepared on a big mountain powder day for a tear through the trees and ripping the bony ridges in the TNF Women's Freedom LRBC Insulated Pants.

Good fit, good quality
March 30, 2012

I wore the pants for skiing last weekend. I got cold very easy, but this pair of pants really kept me warm. I wore 3/4 length of light-weight icebreaker long underware beneath, and it was just perfect. I'm 5'2" tall, and the size of short XS fits me just right. I plan to bring the pants with me at my coming trip to Nepal in October.

Great Pant
March 12, 2012

Just hit Squaw, and the pants performed! Warm, comfortable, and waterproof. Lots of pockets for gear storage. Fit was a little tricky. I'm 5'4", 115 lbs., and the XS was a decent fit. I decided to exchange for the S, however, as I wanted more range of movement.

Great Ski Pants
February 19, 2012

These are excellent ski pants and a very good value for what they cost. The pants have many good details such as side vents and well placed pockets. The insulation is just right - the pants are very warm but not too bulky. I bought these for myself a year ago and just purchased another pair for my daughter.

Pros: Performance, Great value

Great pants!
February 08, 2012

Love these pants! Color is beautiful - I got the fusion pink. The lower rise is very comfortable. I hadn't bought a pair of ski pants for almost 9 years (I don't get to ski that often) and the styling over the years has improved a lot! Size medium fit well with a little extra room in the waist and hip area but I also don't like to wear tight fitting clothing in general (I am 5'5", 130 lbs; usually wear a size 4 or 6 for reference).

Pros: Great design
Comfort: 3 / 5
Durability: 5 / 5
Quality: 5 / 5

Great Pant!
February 07, 2012

I bought these pants to go skiing and they're perfect! They're a really fun color, and the warmth is fantastic! They're a little tight on me, but that's just because I'm a little overweight right now so I'd say they run pretty true to size, overall great pant and I would recommend to anyone!

short length
January 27, 2012

i am short 5'1" and i went with the short length which was a little long but will look fine with my ski boots on. i tried other ski pants on and the are too long and don't offer the short length. great fit and comfortable. the insulated pants are very warm and have a great style. i would definitely go with the insulated pants, especially if you ski or are doing any winter activity.

Great Pants
October 29, 2011

These pants are warm and have a great flattering fit. I love the size of the pockets and the vents on the sides. Have not had them long so I cannot comment on durability but they feel like they are well made and are going to last a long time.

Pros: Great design, Great value

Very nice product
February 14, 2011

I love how those pants fit. Perfect for skiing and snowboarding. Size is perfect and best quality, as all North Face products. The best thing is how it fits on my waist, not too low or too high, so I feel very comfortable.

Fit perfect, cargo pocket just for show
January 12, 2011

An insulated ski pant with nice lines. Just enough room to move freely but without looking baggy. Fits snugly in hips but roomier through legs. I wouldn't use the front leg cargo pocket while skiing as it doesn't seem secure enough but there are two zip pockets on the hips. The long length fit perfect (I have 32.5" inseam to floor). The velcro waist tabs being on the outside are easy to adjust quickly.

Great Pants
January 04, 2011

Very warm pants. My girlfriend usually gets cold while on the mountain, but these pants kept her warm and toasty. She really liked the way that they compliment her figure.

LOVE THESE WATERPROOF SKI PANTS!
April 20, 2010

I did extensive research to find an affordable waterproof pair of ski pants after my long underwear got wet while wearing my "water resistant" ski pants. It's not fun to ski when your underwear are soaked! Thanks to the awesome reviews for the North Face Insulated LRBC Pant I found them. I wear a size 10 in jeans and the medium was perfect. This is the perfect pants for someone with a curvy figure. The pants are flattering and not too snug in the legs and not too loose. I got the regular size because my inseam is 30. I went spring skiing and these pants kept me warm and dry during the day - it rained most of the day. Another bonus is the side pockets which are lined with fleece and the front cargo pocket. I think these are a great price for what you get.

Great pants and great service!
April 05, 2010

Haven't used them yet but they are true to size, comfortable, nice looking, fitted but baggy enough to provide movement and an awesome color! Love them so far! I am 5'2" and the smalls fit nicely, enough length for ski boots but not too long.

lisa

Best pants yet!
February 22, 2010

Bought these pants for this years ski trip and loved them. Best ski pants I have ever had! So warm and so comfortable!

Mattie

Great Pants!
February 16, 2010

These pants were some of the warmest ski pants i have ever used. I never got cold! Lots of pockets that are easily accessible. The sizes are accurate but the adjustable waist band is awesome. I usually buy long's in pants and the size mediums were the perfect length.

Zoe

Great pants!
February 15, 2010

I love these pants - very comfortable, warm and lots of pockets and vents. I got the red and the color is great without being too obnoxious. I am 5'11 and got the medium and the length and fit were perfect. They have velcro adjustments at the waist so you can adjust how tight they are around the waist. LOVE THEM!

The pants look great and kept me warm. Plus the price was very reasonable.

Great Modern Ski pant
February 05, 2010

These pants are great. Unique look and practical design. The vents are great for fall and spring skiing. Very nice reinforced boot bottoms. They are very light weight, but extremely warm and it is easy to move while wearing them. I would definitely recommend them.

Awesome pants, keeps you warm and dry
January 28, 2010

These pants are so great that I had to buy another pair. I bought the red ones this time and the red is a little brighter than the picture but it's still really nice.

Great for skiing and snow
January 23, 2010

I looked everywhere for red ski pants and was so excited to find them at Altrec! These North Face pants are very warm and insulated. I wore them skiing with only leggings underneath and kept the side vents open so I didn't get too hot. Even with a little tumble I stayed dry and toasty. I wear a size 10 pant and ordered the large so that I would have plenty of room for layers if needed. The velcro waist cinches in for a perfect fit. My only complaint is that I find the front pocket useless - I don't want to have anything on my thigh when skiing. Other than that I love these pants and would highly recommend them.

Sarah

Great Look and Comfortable! Would Recommend
January 11, 2010

The adjustable strap on the waist was great! It allows you to ensure that the pants fit your unique size. They are extremely comfortable and plenty of room to move. Overall they are a great product and extremely durable. They are really warm yet still light.

Warm, comfortable snowpants
January 04, 2010

These snowpants are the best I have ever had. I am 5'4" and weight about 110 lb. I bought a size small, and at first thought the waist was way too big. But, there is an adjustable strap on the left and right sides, allowing me to cinch the waist for the best fit. The length is a bit long when wearing shoes, but is fine in my snow boots and ski boots. I tested them out shoveling this weekend with a wind chill of -5 F. I was pleasantly toasty from the moment I went outside, and even though I was working hard shoveling, I was not overheated or too sweaty. What a great product!

Really nice pants, well made.
January 03, 2010

These are great pants, well made and they feel like they will be warm. My only concern is the size. I ordered a small and they are a little bit too baggy, I will probably return for an extra small to see if that fits better. I am 5'3 and the pants are kind of long on me, I ordered the regular since they don't come in short. Otherwise, cute fit and stylish.

Awesome
December 31, 2009

I just love my new Ski pants. They are lightweight and very warm and comfortable. I love the fact that they are Low Rise Boot Cut. You don't have to deal with them riding up your back! Did I mention that they are very stylish too!! Would highly recommend them!!

Olga Postolachi

Great Pants - would recommend them.
December 11, 2009

Everything you would expect from The North Face. Nice and warm and a good fit while not restricting.

Debb Nusbaum

Beautiful pants, will match her NF Denali Jacket which is brown.

This is a gift for my daughter. North Face always provides a great product. Altrec provided a great service, prompt and hassle free. I will use you in the future.
