Description

Whether you ski or snowboard, these Women's Freedom LRBC Pants from The North Face keep you dry and comfortable throughout the day. The Freedom LRBC Pants feature a low rise, boot cut--that's what LRBC stands for--design with low-profile, mesh-lined zippered thigh vents. The North Face used their Chimney Venting™ system to optimize airflow throughout the pant. Specially-designed stretch mesh pulls cool air into the pant as the heated air exits. Keep in mind that the Freedom LRBC Pant for women isn't densely insulated--it's more of a shell pant with a lightweight Thermoliner 1 fleece lining. The adjustable waist tabs help you comfortably layer this shell over fleece pants or foundation clothing. That said, this layering versatility makes the Women's Freedom LRBC Pant an ideal candidate for 100-day ski and snowboarding seasons. Other key features include articulated knees to enhance your range of motion and reinforced fabric along the cuffs to protect the pant from sharp ski edges. While the roomy zippered cargo pant won't replace your backcountry backpack, you'll find enough space for your wallet, car keys and even a small two-way radio or cellular phone.

My new go-to ski pants!
February 03, 2012

I love these pants. I have owned several pairs of North Face ski pants previously, but this is my first time with this style. The fit is good, they are super comfy, and they were great in the snow. Their trial run was on a ski day with high winds and temps in the low teens. They were perfect with a light layer underneath. Love the cargo pocket on front. They are stylish and fun but provide plenty of flexibility for movement. I optimistically bought the small regular size (I'm 5'5", 135 lbs) and they are on the snug side but the medium size were too big and I prefer a slimmer fit. Highly recommend these pants for any winter activity enthusiast.

Pros: Great design, Performance

Great Pants
January 18, 2012

These are great pants! I ordered them before in brown and they have held up well and keep me dry and warm. The sizing has changed a little, the brown pair I ordered in an extra small a few years ago, the blue pair I just ordered in xtra small were too small and I had to reorder in a small and they fit perfect. I am 5'3 115 pounds, the only downside was that they were too long but o.k with my ski boots on.

Pros: Lasts forever, Great value
Comfort: 4 / 5
Durability: 4 / 5
Quality: 5 / 5
FitClothes: 2 / 5

XS are a lot smaller than the Small
December 27, 2011

So, I never got a chance to wear these skiing, since I'll have to send them back due to size problems. I had tried on the Small at a store, and I was swimming in them. I figured that the X-Small would be the right fit (and they were $20 cheaper through Altrec than at a retail store). However, the XS pair feel at least two sizes smaller than the Small and they are too tight to feel comfortable when I'm on the slopes. I love the features -- vent down the leg and lots of zipper pockets for storage, plus a fit that's actually stylish. But, alas, I fall somewhere between the XS and S sizes (I often wear a "0" or 26 in pants).

Great pants!

I recently received these pants as a gift and they are fantastic. I cant wait to go skiing so I can wear them more. They are very comfortable and warm. I would expect nothing less from North Face!

Great purchase
December 31, 2010

Pants are excellent for variable weather snow sports. They are light enough & have enough adjustable ventilation to wear alone on warmer days, yet fit loose enough to wear a base layer for more frigid conditions. Durable, tough outer shell that can hold up to the multiple spills inexperienced riders are sure to take. Numerous zipper pockets for secure storage and bonus front velcro pocket make toting your personal items a breeze. Overall an excellent multi-purpose pant that will keep you dry and warm and keep the snow on the mountain where it belongs and not against your skin.

Very stylish and warm
December 28, 2010

Love these pants, they look stylish while still being very warm and comfortable. I usually wear a 6-8 in pants and these fit perfectly. If I were any larger they'd be too small, so I'd say a solid 8 would be happier in a large (i.e. I had no extra room).

Love these Pants!!
December 16, 2010

Can't wait to give these to our daughter for Christmas!! Our whole family has a pair of North Face Hy-Vent pants such as these, and we won't wear any other brand outdoors in our ND winters! We ordered XS for our daughter who is a size 2-4, and they look like they will be perfect. Really like the slightly flared legs, and the built-in gaiters are a must-have. Great style, super comfortable, and incredibly durable.

Great Snowboard Pants for Petites
October 18, 2010

I purchased these pants in extra small and the Marmot Women's Skyline Insulated Pants in extra small to see which ones I liked better. These North Face pants were a lot longer, long enough to go over snowboard or ski boots. The Marmot pants only came to my ankles and I am 5'2". Also, overall the North Face pants were much more comfortable. I don't know how they will hold up that's why I only marked them average in durability.
