Best Purchase ever
September 20, 2013

Great price, great quality, fast shipping. Would recommend to any woman who wants a nice chic raincoat. It fits perfectly for me, 5'5 and 120 Ibs. The belt fits perfectly at my low waist/begining of hips. Sleeves perfect length too.

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Ease of use

good experience
May 27, 2010

They had the jacket, size, and color I wanted for a good price and it came in a timely manner. Love the jacket... arms run a little long. I would normally buy a small and ended up with an extra small after trying it on in some stores. Would definitely buy from altrec again.

great fit but poor design of hood
March 28, 2008

This is a really great jacket, but the huge hood lets it down. I ordered blaze red, which isn't too bright, exactly what I wanted. I am a bigger size 10 in US sizes, but I ordered Large and it fits well (leaves some room for a sweater or fleece underneath). The sleeves are quite long, but can be rolled up to show a nice white/gray floral print. The fabric is good quality and does the job in for weather in Ireland where I live. The only thing is the strange hood. You would need a giraffe's neck for your head to touch the top of the hood. When you pull the toggles to tighten, it comes down too far over the forehead. The design of the hood lets this jacket down for being the price that it is.

So far, so good!
August 12, 2013

I purchased this jacket for my GF as she wanted something that was functional and stylish. Judging by her reaction to opening it, she loves it. Altrec's customer service was fantastic - shipping was quick and after buying two sizes (knowing I'd return one), they made the process super simple. Thanks!

great stylish raincoat
May 15, 2009

I have been looking for a nice fitted raincoat but couldn't find anything that well fit and also have a hood. This North Face raincoat is fit well and also very functional. Love the design but agree with some comment. Hope the hood is a bit bigger to get better coverage.

I sent this item back bacuase I didn't like the fabric. It was that scruncy stiff sounding fabric. The sleeves were a little long. I liked the style so ordered it in the graphite grey which is a different fabric with stretch and feels somewhat like mircofiber. I'm happy with the grey one. The sleeves are a little long on it too.

Noisy material
September 05, 2013

Love the length. However, not as described online. No 2-way zipper, no chest pockets. Despite those erroneous descriptors, I would keep it but . . . not as chic as I hoped due to loud, crinkly sounding material. (I imagined everyone in the Sistine Chapel wearing this jacket & thought at least you wouldn't be able to hear everyone talking!)

Women's Grace Jacket
November 11, 2013

I ordered the jacket thinking it was the Stella Grace...since I have actually tried that one on in the store and liked how it had fit on me. This style did not fit as well on me and the fabric was a bit stiff so I decided to return it.

Brighten your day Raincoat
December 12, 2010

I got the NorthFace Grace raincoat in Fiesta Red. I like to have a bright raincoat so that I am more visible and this choice fits the bill. I would describe the color more as sunset coral than a red color though. This raincoat can be worn for a walk in the woods but because of the length and cut also looks a little dressier for meeting friends for a meal. The fit is perfect for me. I have long arms and someone with short or average length arms might find the sleeves too long. The length is great and the cut is flattering. No chance that your neck or wrists or butt or thighs will end up wet even if the wind is blowing the rain around as it might well be in Alaska. The hood is overly large but there are little toggle things so you can snug it in. It looks a little goofy tightened around your face but keeps the rain off! The pockets are generous and secure. I wasn't sure I liked the belt - might prefer one with snaps of the style on the upper pockets - but the multiple belt loops keep it in place and cinching in the back adds to the attractive line of the coat. The flare at the hemline means that there is no restriction if you are striding right along. I find that a raincoat that covers the full upper leg is so much more useful and warmer than a rain "jacket". And it rolls up easily for tucking in my bag when I travel. I give this raincoat high marks and keep it at the front of my closet.

Very thin, does not breathe
December 20, 2010

I bought this jacket, expecting a fashionable alternative to the poncho like rain coats available for women. I was disappointed when I received this jacket because it felt as though I was wearing a shaped garbage bag. Very plastic-y material, not lined, and very small in the shoulders and arms. I returned this jacket for the North Face Stella Grace which is a much better (and more true to size) jacket.

Pros: Great value, Cons: Bad design

Women's Grace Jacket - LOVE It.
August 10, 2013

Excellent waterproof and very stylish jacket. After coming in from a big storm simply shake it off and viola it is as dry as a bone! This is a light weight jacket and is not lined. I think that makes it great for all seasons, just add a lightweight fleece underneath and your good to go. This jacket is all about layering which is just what I wanted. It is smart enough to wear with dress slacks or jeans and I love the way the hood easily rolls up quite small and stores in the hood flap not having to detach it and risk misplacing it. It has two interior chest pockets as well. It took me a few wears to find them though. It would be nice if there were air vents under the armpits but I still really love the jacket. Also the price was $61 less than department and outdoor stores in my area. Size purchased: Medium Height: 5'8" Weight: 140 Fit seemed true to size for me

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Great value, very chic & stylish, Cons: no venting

Perfect jacket
May 27, 2009

If you want something practical, functional and stylish, this is it. I walk a mile to and from work each day. The longer length provides the right amount of coverage when it rains. Its great at blocking the wind and it really does breathe. I can layer it over a sweater or fleece jacket when the weather is cooler and it doesn't look bulky. The iPod pocket is a nice touch.

Love this coat. I've worn it everyday since it arrived. Fits well and actually goes sporty or with jeans on casual night out. I love that the zipper works both ways and that the sleeves open to wide bell look. Gives it a more fashionable appeal. the wide sleeve allow them to pull up easy for warmer days with out taking the jacket off.

good fit and style
May 20, 2009

This jacket is both stylish and practical. It fits well and is a good raincoat. I should point out that the taupe is more like an army green and not as much like the photo. But I recommend the jacket to someone looking for a cuter than average raincoat.

Great travel jacket!
March 05, 2010

This jacket will be versatile for travel. Stylish for the city and dry in the cloud forest. Plus it rolls up into a small bundle and is lightweight.
