i was very pleased with the jacket... it is very warm, the sleeves r just a slight long and a lil big around waist but thats because i dont have a sweater on underneath... the overall jacket is super cute and stylish and very warm which is the most important factor in a jacket!

Originally boought the Small from Northface.com and it was a little too big on me. The sleeves were longer and the body was bulky. I wanted to see if an XS would fit better but North Face ran out and Altrec was one of their vendors and carried XS size. Thank God. The XS fits me better, a little tight by the tummy, but I don't mind it. Looks really cute and lady like. Also keeps you warm.

Very nice jacket
I am a big fan of North Face and I buy this jacket as a gift for my wife. I hope she'll be very happy wiith it.
The buid quality is high. It's The Norh Face signature.
Also Altrec was very fast and I received this jacket in time.

Dissapointed
I ordered the coat expecting room, warmth and durability. The coat is really nice but the length of the sleeves was not quite long enough. The body measurements were great. I love The North Face but all sleeves should be the length of the Steep Tech Coats.

Great purchase
This coat is a replacement for another Northface that I've owned for 5 years. The quality is excellent and the price couldn't be any better. I will defiantly recommend to my friends. Great for those cold winter days.

sleek, stylish warmth
This coat is VERY warm with the added bonus of having a sleek, low profile. The outer layer hides the "michelin man" look of normal puffer down coats, and the waist belt gives the coat a lovely tailored look. The oversized furry hood is beautiful and catches the wind and snow during our many blustery snowy days. I wish it was a couple inches longer as other reviewers mentioned, but it's still worth the high price tag. I layer it with the Denali hooded jacket on sub-zero days and it keeps my torso toasty warm!

great jacket
i bought it for my daughter, and she loves it. it has a good style, and it provides all the features it offers. shell fabric is a bit stiff but i guess it acts as a water repellent. i would recommended, however north face products are a bit overpriced in spite of their quality.

great investment
I'm glad I invested in this coat. It is fashionable and very comfortable....it fits a little on the small side so I went up a size so I have the ability to layer underneath...but very warm...awesome...I would recommend this coat to everyone...

I'm in love with this jacket
I received this jacket for Christmas and it was true love. I needed a warm jacket that would keep me toasty during our bone chilling winters along the Jersey shore and it had to be waterproof. This jacket fits the bill perfectly. It keeps the wind and cold at bay even if I'm only wearing a long sleeve shirt underneath. P.S. I'm 5' tall and 116 pounds but I still needed the medium for a roomy fit.

Love the Jacket
I believe this jacket was definitely a good choice. It is VERY warm and in addition, it is a cute style. I think this jacket runs small because the sizing chart said I should wear a large, but after putting on a shirt, sweater, etc, the jacket became too snug. So b/c of that i exchanged for XL. Overall response is I LOVE IT!

Good quality but didn't work for me
This jacket is very well made and I am very difficult to fit, but I had two problems with it. First, the waist was a bit too high...fit like a petite. (I did order an xs even though the size chart indicated sm as jackets usually run too big for me.) It fit everywhere else. The sm would've been too long in the sleeves. My second problem was the color...way too cream-colored for my complexion. Overall though, a great jacket if it will work for you.

This jacket was definitely sent from up above. I love this jacket!!!! I had not been in cold weather for about 17 years, and I bought this jacket when I went to New York when it was snowing and with temperatures ranging from 19 degrees and lower. I couldn't have been warmer. Just a sweater and my NF jacket and I was good to go!!! Definitely highly, highly recommend to anyone.

Great Chic Fit!
Love the winter white color! The belt is super feminine and very slimming. Only downside is that the jacket is not long enough to cover your bottom. Other than that, its perfection at an incredible price!

Do not freeze!!

Perfect!
I love the jacket, was reading lots of reviews and found them of no help since everyone was gushing about how wonderful the jacket was and not about size, fitting, etc. I'm 5'8" tall, weigh 119 lbs (8 1/2) stone for UK customers. I ordered XS it fits perfectly with lots of room, anyone within a 7 pound weight range upwards should get the XS as the S would be too big. I also have the Tri Atlantic Jacket and I ordered in XS too.... I hope my review helps. Thanks.

Great Jacket
Love this jacket! The fur around the hood looks beautiful and doesn't matte down. The belt creates a more form-fitting look which is flattering. Connecting the Velcro closure allows the coat to stay on a hanger easily without slipping off. The front pockets angle which makes for comfortable hand placement. One con is that the black coat seems to collect a lot of lint which is noticeable. I have been looking for a warm, black, faux fur hooded jacket for a very long time and couldn't be happier with this one! No other jackets I've found can compare.

This is the PERFECT winter jacket. Warm, stylish, and the superior quality you can only expect from North Face! The beautiful and roomy fur hood can be tied tightly to protect the face from extreme winds (like Kenny from South Park) and the buckle provides a snug fit to prevent wind from passing through the torso area. There is also a zipper compartment on the left sleeve which is perfect for storing keys, cell phone, etc. I am extremely pleased with my purchase.

This a FAB Jacket!

Love it!!!
Saw this jacket at a fantastic price and got it in black. I started to have second thoughts, but when jacket arrived,I fell in love with it! Size S fits perfectly even when wearing a thick sweater (I wear a size 4),don't size up because shoulders tend to look bulky. I wish it were a bit longer, but its good enough. Can't wait to wear this next winter!

I LVOE IT!
Best coat I have ever bought. Extremely warm and not too bulky. I like how it covers my bottom a bit. In the Minnesota winters leather seats can be more like sitting on ice cubes. This jacket makes sitting on ice cubes comfortable:)

attracts lint/dust
The Greenland is a very warm coat and looks great on. Got lots of compliments. It is, however, puffier than I expected. Also, wish it was 2 or 3 inches longer. The one major negative is it's propensity to attract a lot of lint which is hard to remove. I wore a new cashmere sweater and used up almost half of a lint roller on the coat.

North Dakota!
I moved from London to ND and North Face has become my newest best friend. I've brought various other North Face coats, but got tired of the Marshmallow look. I brought this jacket, and it looks adorable. The fur was not as picture i.e. it was very flat and not at all fluffy looking. I agree with another post that mentioned that the coat crackles in the cold. I wore this coat in -22 weather a wind chill factor of -45, and I crackled a lot! Despite the crackling, it's a good looking and very warm jacket. I'll be returning the black jacket as it just didn't look as hot as the brown one that I have. I guess its just a matter of personal taste.. Enjoy this jacket without having to compromise on fashion!!

Excellent jecket
I bought this for my college daughter at the University of Iowa (where it is very cold this year). She says she has never been warmer; and says she can wear short sleeved shirts, and remain toasty while waiting for the commuter bus. That says a lot..she is always cold. It looks great on, size is right on. I am a very happy mom. I bought a different North Face for my other daughter, and I feel the same, excellent product.

Worth every dollar!
This jacket is everything i hoped it would be, not too bulky but extremely warm. Its perfect for any occasion. I really liked all the extra pockets, especially the ipod pocket inside the coat. This jacket is perfect for the cold! Altrec also did an amazing job, fast service and quick follow-ups. I got mine in black and it's great. A lot of pocket room to keep your iPod and wallet in there. The hood fits securely around you face to prevent cold winds from getting to you. Nice and fluffy on the inside (could be used as a pillow) Overall great coat, great price, and great service!! Belt is a nice feminine touch
The jacket overall is warm and as shown in Altrec's video. The upperarms tend to be a bit "poofier" than I would have expected/liked. The fur-attachment is large and luxurious. The somewhat bulkiness of the jacket is tamed with the belt, giving the waist a contoured shape.

Great Jacket, Crappy buckle
It's a great Jacket! I like it, it keeps me really warm outside, but the buckle is pretty bad! I think its a little to small and it should be metal so it could support the jacket much better. Its almost $300! Nothing on this jacket should break that easily.

This is the jacket I dreamed of! It's super warm & looks cute! I had to get a smaller size because the arms were slightly bulky, but it is a ski jacket, so.... Only real issue was an odor (which was probably from manufacturing, so I exchanged it). The zipper has given me some trouble, but nothing I can't handle. Good buy at this price!!

Perfect for a MN winter photographer
I am a photographer and have to be outside a fair amount of time not for an extended period. This jacket really made all the difference during our 35 below zero wind chill and negative temperatures. It's also very flattering to a womens figure, having the belt really dresses it up for a winter jacket. It's light enough to be able to wear it in and out, the hood is a perfect size and it's a photographers dream to have a pocket on the sleeve. The only thing I noticed that is a disappointment is that it picks up a lot of lint, but a lint roller took care of most of that

Went sledding and skied in zero - 15 degree weather w/o wind chill figured in. Jacket was excellent!!! Wish I could buy one in every color. Fabric stops wind up on the mountain - maybe my favorite ski jacket of all times.

This jacket is awesome inside and out! I highly recommend it.
This jacket is great if you are looking for something that is light and will keep you toasty warm on those frigid winter days. I love the fit. It's not bulky like most down jackets. Altrec service was excellent and the delivery came as stated which was in perfect timing for my ski trip.
