Great buying experience
December 13, 2011

Saw the coat in the store and loved the fit. It is longer than a standard winter coat and looks nice enough to hit the slopes and then head straight out to a nice dinner. Great style and the belt makes it look very up scale. It also has the powder skirt inside for preventing snow from going up into the coat after a wipe out in the powder. Great coat!!

Warm & Functional AND Cute!
March 21, 2013

This down coat was pretty much the perfect coat that I had been looking for - warm and functional while still being feminine. I wanted a down coat that covered my entire rear end, but NOT a bulky parka, and with a belt. I didn't want those super light weight coats either since I still don't find them warm enough for our Chicago weather. I also didn't want the quilting style or any unusual stiching showing. Basically I was looking for a coat that would function like a nice wool coat but warmer than a wool coat. This coat satisfied all the points and came with some more perks. I'm top heavy with wide shoulders (5'1", 125 lbs# and I ALWAYS buy a medium for TNF jackets. This coat in medium was a perfect fit for me as usual. The coat is pretty thick and it did feel snug but not in a restraining way. Some complained that the belt was too tight or looked cheap. For me it was totally find and I definitely liked having a belt in the middle to make it a ton more figure flattering. Even though I loved the coat so much I ended up returning it because of the color - I ordered the white because it was on sale on Altrec.com! Unfortunately it was way too white for my taste #I would've been okay with ivory but this was white-white#. I returned it and decided to order a black one even if it's full price!

Great Winter Active Coat
January 17, 2011

When I ordered the coat, I was unsure about the type of coat I was wanting. I knew I needed something really warm, something that could withstand water, and something that I could easily move in. This coat has it all...the length is perfect for keeping your backside covered, the material is very durable,..this coat would last me forever! It protects against heavy wind and keeps my core warm without having to layer a lot. I am about 5'7" and weigh about 140lbs. The medium fit me pretty well, and the arms were long enough for my liking (which most aren't). I ordered the black coat, and seems like it would be very easy to keep clean. I recommend this product, however, I did end up returning it for a less sporty coat, one that I could wear for warmth, but I also decided that I wanted a more fashionable coat that I could wear with anything. The return was so easy to do. Great company, and I would recommend them to anyone!

Ordered the Greta after returning the NF Destiny-which was cute, but too short in the back. I was looking to replace an old NF coat that is too short in the back. So, I ordered the Greta. It was long enough in the back and seemed warm, but too bulky, and too short in the sleeves and short waisted. Too tight across chest. I usually am a size 2-4. I ordered the S. Returning because I think the M will be too big everywhere else. I guess NF coats just run short. I'm not that tall-5'5'' 115 lbs., but keep finding the same problem. Too short waisted. and short sleeved. The Hunt continues!

great buy
January 12, 2013

After what seems like the endless hunt for a warm jacket to wear in New England winters, the search is over! I was initially hesitant to put down this much money for a jacket, but it is worth every penny. Having gone through many a down jacket that sheds feathers, isn't warm enough, etc., this jacket does not have any of those problems. I'm 5'2, 110 lbs and the Small was a perfect fit - I had initially tried the XS, but that was just a bit too tight for me, and I wanted a little more room so I could also wear the jacket while snowboarding. My favorite part is the belt, which makes the jacket more flattering (I think). I had read a few complaints about the double zipper - yes it's not the easiest zipper, but it's not annoying enough for me to return to the jacket by any means. All in all, a great buy.

OMG! This is the greatest purchase I've made in a long time. I needed something very warm for those early AM walks with the dog. The hood is fits well and stays on nicely. Its really perfect, high quality and well worth the money. I expect to have this jacket for many seasons to come.
