I love the feel of the fabric these shorts are made of - it has a soft hand and breathes very well. The zippered pocket at the center back is great for holding my keys and doggie bags -- things don't get pressed into my back and pocket-sweat doesn't get as pronounced as it does for me with internal pockets. These shorts also have an internal pocket on the right front hip that looks like it would keep things secure, but I haven't used it yet. The inseam is a little longer than I'm used to (I actually like that about these shorts) and the outer leg seams are designed to allow for great mobility. I'm 5'9" with a 25" waist and 37" hips -- the small I ordered fits perfectly.

Has black spandex underwear within and is super comfortable for running, water sports, or everyday wear. Never rides up. The material wicks moisture, is lightweight, dries quickly and has print on it that reflects light(on front and back left corner). Good for warm weather- it's so light and comfortable that it almost makes you feel like you're running naked. Also includes two handy pockets that are really convenient for holding keys are an ID. The back pocket can hold a phone, but it will stick out and not be able to zip. So far I have been wearing these almost every day and they seem to be holding up pretty well even though the material is quite thin. I will say, if you are more conservative about showing some skin, this might not be the product for you since the shorts have quite a wide opening at the bottom. One could see the underside of your upper thigh depending on the way you sit or how you're exercising. All in all, this product lives up to the North Face brand.

These are my new favorite running shorts. I have tried many brands, but these are by FAR the best! They are very comfortable, light weight and do not ride. They come in a variety of colors and I will purchase more! They run pretty true sizes and do not shrink or fade fast from washing and drying.

I would prefer these shorts to run a little longer, i.e. inseam of 5 or 6 inch, for more coverage. Yes, i would recommend this product to a friend if she likes 'short' shorts, but not for me.
