These shorts are light and comfortable. They fit well and are very flattering. True to size. I've never been disappointed with The Northface. They are great for traveling and hiking.

like previous reviews these shorts run a little small. I'm usually a size 4/6 and I had to order up to a size 8 in these. They fit a little snug in the hips but large in the waste. Definitely shaped for a woman with a straight figure. They are not the most flattering pants. The extra fabric at the top of the pockets on the sides hits right at the top and sides of your thighs making you look heavier there then reality. I'm keeping them because they are thin and look quick drying and weren't expensive, however I will be wearing them purely for function and not for looks.

Shorts are lightweight and dry quickly without chafing. They are a little longer than I like to wear shorts but I just roll them up twice and am good to go. Rated good for durability and quality because I've only had them for 3 weeks. Great for boating, hiking, adventures with the dog. Zip pocket on right leg is very useful.

These fit so nicely - trim enough to flatter while being comfortable and practical. Great for women with hips, but probably nice on any shape. I ordered them because I couldn't find an older (2010) Columbia short I've been wearing that I thought was terrific. These are every bit as nice. I like the way they feel and the way they look. My husband keeps saying, "I LIKE those shorts." And they feel great for hiking, running, hanging out. Can't ask for more than that.

These shorts fit great. I like the length and the bit of stretch when climbing or kneeling in the yard. I was really looking forward to the Pache grey color but it is more of a putty color than the light grey shown on the website. Despite the color discrepancy, I would purchase these again.

Flattering length. Fits exactly like any other North Face shorts/pants. Comfortable, lightweight, and dries quickly. Great for warm weather activities.

wanted good looking lightweight, fast drying shorts to wear on hikes & around town this summer. These fit perfectly, couple of inches below the belly button, and they're a perfect length for strenuous hikes.

The seam on the right front is coming apart and the hem on the right leg is messed up as well. This was noticed on trying them on for the first time.
