Bought these pants for work(corporate fitness center manger) they are great and allow me to move freel. I can demo exercises and at the same time have a professional look!
Pros: Great design, Performance, Ease of use, Cons: CostGreat pants overall

I own two of these pants. They work as advertised, dry fast and are comfortable and very lightweight. They fit true to TNF size chart, but overall the cut is a tad narrow in the hip area, I can see it not working well for some body types as you'd have size up to get the right fit in the hip and then end up with too large a waist size. The inseam is actually longer than the advertised 32 inches, I usually buy 33 inches and these are not short on me at all. Personally I don't care for the drawstring, but it's a nice feature if you're in between sizes. I would buy these again.
Pros: Ease of use, Great value, Cons: narrow hip areaWrite a review for the The North Face Horizon Tempest Pants here.
Great work pants if you are around water.
February 04, 2012
I have to have khaki pants for my recreation job and these pants are great around the pool because they do not absorb much water and dry fast. They are also extremely comfortable.

Great Purchase!

I have only had these a couple weeks, but so far they have been great. I used them hiking in light rain and they repelled all water. I even used them caving and they were durable and then came clean in the wash easily.
Pros: PerformanceWanting More

I wish that the pants had a little bit of stretch! I think the added mobility in the leg would be helpful. I do like how they are quick dry and roll up, zip offs are a little two much for me as I am often run cold.
Pros: Great valueGreat pants for hiking and hunting!
March 21, 2012
Love the pants! If only the price was a little cheaper I'd have a ton of these! The only thing I would change about these pants is that I would add more pocket space. I'm thinking perhaps a cargo style pocket on one or both of the legs. I did have to go up one size, they seem to run a little small. I have used these pants for both hiking and hunting and would recommend them to anyone!
Pros: Build quality, Performance, Ease of use, Cons: Cost, too few pocketsGreat work pants if you are around water.

Good if you like baggy style
October 02, 2011
In the short amount of time that I've had to wear these pants so far, I can see that they are good quality, as well as nice and lightweight for packing and travel. The pouch on the inside for stuffing the pants into for travel is a nice bonus, although I'd prefer a closure other than velcro - that stuff always manages to mangle some item of clothing that's in the washer with it. The only reason I gave this product four stars instead of five is for style. I of course want my hiking pants to be comfortable and allow free range of motion, but these pants have an all-around "baggy" style that is not what I normally wear. (The pants I recommend below have a more flattering fit.) This is a minor issue, as that's just my personal taste. If you like a slightly more baggy style pant, these will be great for you. The FIT is just right though. I'm about 5'10" and 130 pounds, and I ordered a 4 Tall, which fits perfectly.
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Ease of useNice pans

I got it a few days ago, and it's reall nice. Dry quickly, easy to wash. But it fits large for me. I'm 5'02", 100 bl. The roll-up feature is useful too. I'm going to rafting on this weekend and hiking on the next day, I think it's a good choice to bring it with me.
Great pants
August 24, 2012
They fit perfectly and were very comfortable. I haven't worn them a ton yet but they seem to be very durable. I'm about 5'4" and they were a little long but that's easily fixed. Overall great pants!
Pros: Great design, Build quality, PerformanceGreat fit & very light!
July 17, 2012
These pants are awesome: they are very lightweight, I love the option to roll the legs up, they have a whole bunch of pockets, and - they really look fantastic on. I'm regularly a size 0 in most brands of non-athletic apparel (5'7", 35.5" hips, 25" waist), and the size 2 fits me perfectly.
Pros: Great designThis is my second pair
May 16, 2013
This is my second pair, I am very satisfied with the comfort and quality. I am 5'4" and 130 lbs and ordered size 8, it's kind of big but still comfy I can move around but next time I will try size 6 just to see which one will fit perfectly .
Pros: Build quality, Ease of useAwesome
July 01, 2012
These pants are awesome. They fit pretty true to size. They sit higher up on your hips so when you are climbing you dont have to worry about anything hanging out! I also took these pants on a trip to South America and they were a life saver. They are lightweight, repel water, roll up for when its hot and when I washed them it didnt take forever to dry. Overall love the pants and all the pockets they have!
Pros: Great value, very comfortableThis is my 3rd pair
June 24, 2011
This is my 3rd pair of these pants. My first pair I have had for 3 years and they still look new. They wear & wash well and are very comfortable. I wear them to work every week all year round. Very versatile pants.
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Lasts forever, Performance, Ease of use, Great valuePerfect for hiking and travel

Whenever I hike or travel, I only wear nylon pants. They are comfortable, lightweight, and dry quickly. These nylon pants from North Face are ideal. The zipper pocket will be good for security during travel. I like the roll-up feature better than zip off pants. I plan to buy another pair of these pants soon.
Pros: Great designGreat Pants
August 23, 2011
I just purchased my second pair of these pants. I'm 5'2 and 120 lbs and the size 6 fit's perfectly in the hips and waist. Only regulars were available in the color I wanted (black) so hemming was necessary for wearing them long, otherwise keeping them rolled up would have worked perfectly. Great quality, value, comfort and versatility, I love these pants!
Pros: Great design, Build qualityGreat boating pants
July 31, 2011
These pants fit great, wash well, don't hold stains, and dry quickly. On a recent sailing trip I washed them in a bucket, hung them up dripping wet on a very damp evening, and they were dry in 2 hours. They were wrinkle free and ready to wear again. Random splashes while sailing dried so quickly I did not notice I was even wet. They were cool on hot steamy days and protected me from the sun. They are the best pants I have found for boating. The plastic buttons on the back pockets were sturdy, but did not scratch the boat. The zippered pocket on the front was tucked under a flap which also protected the boat gear and wearer from snagging on the pull tab. I am 5'5", 145 lb with slim hips. The pants were not baggy through the hips and had a nice draw string to secure the waist for active wear. After a day of sailing in rain and rough seas they still looked good enough to walk into a restaurant. I am very pleased with these pants and intend to buy more.

Love these pants. Fit comfort and style for what I do for a living. I am a grounds keeper.
very blue!
June 03, 2012
I bought the prussian blue pair and they are very very blue! Good if you like lots of color. Cool and work well, do what they should. I should have ordered the petite (height 5'2") but went against it because people said these pants were short. normal length is too long for someone 5'2", fyi.
Pros: Ease of use, Great valueGreat pants!
June 22, 2012
I bought these because I have MS and heat makes me very ill. I needed summer pants that are light and cool but look nice. I got these in khaki and they are exactly what I wanted. They dry out super fast - I spilled water on them and didn't feel like changing; no need because they were dry in 20 minutes! My one problem is the sizing. I am 5'4" 113 lbs and got a size 6, which are way too big. I'm hoping they will shrink.

Can't wait to try these pants!!!
September 06, 2012
This is my first purchase (I actually bought in 3 different colors) and I can't wait to take them on my trip to Italy in October! I washed them and they are definitely quick dry!!!!!! I'm 5'2.5, 113 lbs. The overall fit is good. The short are perfect for me. I had to get my black pair in regular and they are a bit long. I did notice that when I sit, the thighs are a little snug most likely because I do have somewhat muscular legs.
Pros: Performancestable hiking pants
April 08, 2013
Very satisfied with the comfort, color and quality of the garment. I just used these on my hike yesterday. The weather went from cold windy to warmer in the woods, and I was comfortable in them. It's roomy, and yet looks good from behind. That's important too. I recommended it to a fellow friend hiker.
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance, Ease of use, Great valueSeptember 04, 2011
Great pants, look good AND are comfortable!! These pants fit well and hold their shape through out a hike and camp out. very comfortable and easy to clean
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Ease of useGreat Pants

I bought these for a sailing trip this past summer. They defiantly served their purpose. When the weather was hot, they kept me cool. When it rained, they dried quick. They also come in a little bag attached to the pants which helps when packing lightly. They were form fitting--not too baggy and more feminine then the other outdoor pants I own. Overall, I am really satisfied and I plan to get the other colors too.

Perfect for my job working in gardens
March 03, 2012
I love that the pants can be rolled up into capris especially in Florida where it gets hot midday. We have oppressive heat and humidity in the summer, and I feel it keeps me cooler and drys quickly. I usually feel style is forgotten when we where work clothes, but this has style allowing to work hard but still look great!
Pros: Great design, Great valueYes! pockets!!!
September 21, 2011
Finally a pair of women's hiking pants with back pockets! wow! I have searched and searched for comfortable pants for hiking but that had back pockets too, a lot don't offer them. I find these pants to be slightly smaller than others I have in this size but a few more hiking trips should fix that!! Not a big fan of the little girlie belt, but you can't get it all currently in one pant. The style is quite nice and they are a keeper, but I think Columbia Aruba could out do these if they had back pockets, as they offer a great fit and a tapered leg, I really don't mind if my pants can't slip over my boots! The North Face pants have a straight leg, kinda roomy too.
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Great value, Cons: wide legs, run a little smallNice pants!

I think they're very nice pants. I bought black size 12 and they're good but I want to try size 10 also, 'cause I think I'm between these two sizes. So I ordered size 10 and I'm waiting for a package. Soon I'll decide which size is better for me. I'm 5.4" and about 158 lbs. I'm thinking about getting more colors like brown and green, all colors are pretty! But I always have the same problem - is too much to choose from! Thanks!
Pros: Great designVery Good, very nice
March 15, 2012
The color is great. The only thing I would change is the folding in order to turn the pants into a capri. I would have liked a zipper better. The rest is fine. Not for winter though, too thin.
So Happy for Size 0!
March 31, 2012
The pants feel great and look really nice. I'm looking forward to taking them on a 3 week European trip and am glad for the light weight and quick-dry fabric. I've had a terrible time finding pants that do not swallow me - I'm 5'3" and 105lb. I especially appreciated the on-line chat help I received to find these pants. They are just slightly short, but I know the regulars would have been too long. They are easily altered in the length. It's an easy fix, and I am just grateful to find good looking pants that fit. An additional feature that is helpful is the drawstring that helps cinch the pants even more. I only wish they came in a khaki color in my size.
