Excellent as travel and casual wear, The North Face Kalispell Triclimate Jacket for women has a zip-in 300-weight sweater knit fleece lining that you can wear separately as an insulating jacket. The streamlined styling and three-in-one configuration make the Kalispell Triclimate Jacket ideal for journeys through changing weather or varied climate zones. Wear the outer waterproof shell alone during mild spring and summer rainstorms. Switch over to the insulating sweater knit fleece on dry chilly evenings, or opt for the combination of both shell and insulating piece on blustery cold days. While ideally suited for hiking and camping, the Women's Kalispell Triclimate Jacket isn't overloaded with features found on some skiing and climbing jackets from The North Face. Zippered vents beneath the sleeves allow you to air out the jacket without letting spindrift from rain or snow into your inner layers.

great NF jacket, just fit me odd.- I am pear shaped. I would recommend to friends though. I will continue to shop Altrec, customer service is fantastic! They made an exchange for me care free! Thanks Altrec!

Wonderful if...

...if it were not so tight at the hip. I already own two Triclimates from The North Face and size XS fits me perfectly. But in this case the XS is so tight at the hip that I couldn't zip it up. I tried an S and it fit me perfectly at the hip but then it was too big at the chest. I was very disappointed.

I love the style, comfort and fit of this jacket. The fleece is perfect for brisk days, and shell keeps warm and dry. Cannot wait for the cold weather so I can wear both the fleece and the shell.

Just what I was looking for!
January 27, 2012

Things that I love about this jacket: It's warm. Not only does it have a removable inner fleece jacket, the outer shell also has heatseeker insulation in the body and arms so it is still warm when used alone without the fleece liner. I really like that it does not have Velcro closures (it has snap closures instead) so it doesn't get caught on gloves and sweaters (annoying!). The color I chose (squid red) is simply gorgeous, a very nice variation from the usual bright red on most jackets, it looks more casual and not so sporty. Even though it is not sporty, it provides the benefits of a sportier jacket like water and wind protection. The only two not so positive comments I would add are that the picture on the website shows the fleece jacket's zipper as a different color than the liner, but that is not accurate, the zipper is the same color as the fleece. It looks really odd in the picture and I am glad it is not like that in the actual jacket. Also, the jacket runs narrow on the hips. I have small hips (35"), got the small size and it fits snug around the hips with the fleece liner on. However, it runs wider around the chest area. Some might find this fit odd, but I don't mind it.

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Lasts forever, Performance, Ease of use, Great value, Cons: fits a bit narrow around hips
